Aika ajoin on syytä katsoa taaksepäin ja luoda katsaus omaan menneisyyteensä samoin kuin myös aikaisempien sukupolvien tekemisiin ja heidän jättämiin muistoihin. Jonkun läheisen kuolema on yksi sellainen pysäyttäjä, joka pakottaa katsomaan mennyttä aikaa, ja joka aivan kuin itsestään summaa sukupolvien tapahtumia. Tuollaisessa tilanteessa voi usein ymmärtää asioita, joita ei ole ennen käsittänyt tai edes huomannut. Omat elämän valinnat peilautuvat toisten tekemiin valintoihin, ja niiden seuraukset näkyvät inhimillisen menetyksen hetkellä selkeämmin.
From time to time it's worth looking back and see on your own past, as well as on the actions of the previous generations and their memories. Death of someone close to you is one of those stops that forces you to look back, and which, like itself, sums up the events of generations. In such a situation you may often understand things you have not previously understood or noticed. My choices mirror the choices made by others, and their consequences are more visible at the time of human loss.
Ihmiskunta on ollut valintojen edessä Eedenistä alkaen. Valitettavasti tuo ensimmäinen valinta meni pahasti poskelleen. Vai menikö sittenkään? Näin on pakko kysyä, kun ajattelee sitä korjausliikettä, jonka Jumala Poikansa kanssa teki. Suuri jumalallinen pelastussuunnitelma takaa sen, ettei tämän maailman kärsimys ja ahdistus toistu enää milloinkaan (Naah. 1: 9).
People have been facing choices since Eden. Unfortunately that first choice went badly wrong. Or did it? This is a must ask when you think of the correction God made with His Son. The great divine plan of salvation guarantees that the suffering and anxiety of this world will never be repeated (Nahum 1: 9).
Inhimillisten valintojen sarja jatkui ensimmäisten kaksosten kohdalla, ja päättyi toisen kuolemaan (1. Moos. 4: 8). Ihmisten lisääntyessä maan päällä heidän tekemänsä väärät valinnat lisääntyivät samassa suhteessa uusien sukupolvien kanssa. Vain Nooa sai armon Jumalan edessä (1. Moos. 6: 8). Voimme vain aavistella sitä suunnatonta ihmismäärää, joka hukkui vedenpaisumuksessa kaikkien eläinten kanssa ja hautautui maan uumeniin!
A series of human choices continued with the first twins and ended with the death of the other one (Gen. 4: 8). As people multiplied on earth, wrong choices increased in proportion to new generations. Only Noah found grace in the eyes of God (Gen. 6: 8). We can only imagine the huge number of people who were drowned in the Flood with all animals and buried in earth's crust!
Vedenpaisumuksesta pelastuineiden eläinten lisäksi arkin ovesta astui ulos ainostaan 8 saman perheen jäsentä. Luulisi, että he olisivat vetäneet yhtä köyttä ja puhaltaneet yhteen hiileen. Mutta ei! Anno Mundista (Kuoleman vuodesta), 1654 jälkeen luomisen, kului ainostaan noin sata vuotta, kun ihmiskunta jakaantui merkittävällä tavalla. There were only 8 members of the same family to step out of the arch door with the animals. You think they would have pulled one rope and blew together. But no! Only about one hundred years passed from Anno Mundi (the year of death), 1654 after creation, when humanity was divided in a significant way. The Tower of Babel became the divider of the people, though it was supposed to be their joint project. Peleg is reminding us of that event; he was Noah's offspring in the 4th generation (Noah - Shem - Arphaxad - Eber - Peleg... Gen. 10: 22 - 25). The name פלג Peleg is derived from the corresponding Hebrew verb meaning "divide, scatter".
Baabelin tornin tapaus näyttää eräänlaiselta vedenjakajalta ihmiskunnan valintojen kohdalla. Baabeliin saakka lähtijät ja valintansa ilmaisijat olivat niitä, jotka käänsivät selkänsä Jumalalle. Mutta Baabelin jälkeen lähtijät ovatkin niitä, jotka etsivät Jumalaa ja Hänen tahtoaan. Ajatelkaamme vaikka Terahin perheen lähtöä Kaldean Uurista (1. Moos. 11: 31) ja Aabrahamin lähtöä Harranista (1. Moos. 12: 4 - 7).
The Tower of Babel is showing a sort of watershed for humanity's choices. Until Babel those who went out and expressed their choices were those who turned their back on God. But after Babel the leavers are those who are seeking God and His will. For example let's think about the departute of Terah's family from Ur of the Chaldees (Gen. 11: 31) and Abraham's departure from Harran (Ge. 12: 4 - 7).
Paavalin opetuksen mukaan Aabraham on kaikkien uskovien hengellinen isä; kaikkien niiden, jotka ovat Jeshuan omia ja Jumalan lupauksen perillisiä (Gal. 3: 29). Aabraham on kaikkien uskovien esimerkki. Heprealaiskirjeessä sanotaan: "Uskon kautta oli Aabraham kuuliainen, kun hänet kutsuttiin lähtemään siihen maahan, jonka hän oli saava perinnöksi, ja hän lähti tietämättä, minne oli saapuva" (Hepr. 11: 8).
As Paul taught, Abraham is the spiritual father of all believers, of all those who are Yeshua's own and heirs according to God's promise (Gal. 3: 29). Abraham is an example for all believers. It's said in the book of Hebrews that "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went" (Hebrews 11: 8).
Kun ajattelemme nykyistä uskonnollista maailmaa, voimme rehellisyyden nimissä todeta, että se on kauhea sekoitus! Vaikka päällimmäisenä näyttää olevan kaikkien eri tavoin ajattelevien ja uskovien ihmisten yhteys/ykseys, hälytyskellojen olisi syytä soida totuuden etsijöiden mielissä! Valhe ja totuus eivät sovi koskaan yhteen! Eivät myöskään niiden kannattajat!
When thinking about the modern spiritual world we can state in the name of honesty, that it is an awful mix! Though it seems that the main thing is the connection/unity of people who think and believe differently, alarm bells should be ringing in the minds of the truth seekers! Lie and truth never match! Not even the supporters of them!
Olemme tulleet aikaan, jonka jo apostoli Johannes näki Patmos-saarella. Hänen sanansa Ilm. 18: 4, 5: ssä ovat mitä ajankohtaisimmat ja vakavimmat: "Lähtekää siitä ulos, te minun kansani, ettette tulisi hänen synteihinsä osallisiksi, ja saisi tekin kärsiä hänen vitsauksistansa. The time has come, which already the apostle John saw on the isle of Patmos. His words in Rev. 18: 4, 5 are the most actual and serious: "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities."

Now is the time to make a choice and get rid of Babylon's false doctrines!
