Minä uskon, että Jumala on yksi ja ainoa. Näin uskoi myös itse Jeshua. Puhuessaan Isälleen ennen ristiinnaulitsemistaan Jeshua tunnusti Isän ainoaksi todelliseksi Jumalaksi, joka oli antanut kaiken lihan Hänen valtaansa, jotta Hän lahjoittaisi heille iankaikkisen elämän. Jeshua tunsi lähestyvän ristin suurena haasteena itselleen, ja siksi Hän pyysi, että 'Isä kirkastaisi Pojan, jotta Poika kirkastaisi Isän' (Joh. 17: 1 - 3). I believe God is one and only. So did Yeshua Himself too. In speaking to His Father before his crucifixion, Yeshua acknowledged the Father as the only true God who had given all flesh to Him to give them eternal life. Yeshua felt the approaching cross a great challenge for himself, and therefore He asked 'the Father to glorify the Son, that the Son might glorify the Father (John 17: 1 - 3). Only God could support Yeshua in that most difficult task in the universe, and only Yeshua's complete success in that task would glorify the Father.
Jaakob, esittäytyy kirjeensä alussa vaatimattomasti Jeshuan palvelijaksi, vaikka hän oli myös tämän veli. Jeshuan lailla myös Jaakob uskoi yhteen ainoaa Jumalaan. Saman perheen jäsenet jakoivat näin yhteisen uskon. Jaakob rohkaisee jokaista yhteen Jumalaan uskovaa sanoilla: 'siinä teet oikein' (Jaak. 2: 19). James, at the beginning of his epistle, modestly introduces himself as a servant to Yeshua, though he was also his brother. Like Yeshua, James also believed in one God. The members of the same family thus shared a common faith. James encourages everyone who believes in one God by words: 'thou doest well' (James 2: 19). Even Jude, the brother of James, believed like his brother, in one God, for he writes of the only God (the only one in Hebrew יחיד = jachid) , who has saved us through Yeshua Messiah, our Lord... (in Hebrew 'Adon')... (Jude 25).
Myös apostoli Paavali uskoi yhteen Jumalaan, ja hän toi sen selvin sanoin esille kolmessa kirjeessään (Gal. 3: 20; Ef. 4: 6; 1. Tim. 2: 5). Paavalin uskon täytyi perustua juutalaisten uskontunnustukseen, Shemaan, jonka mukaan 'Jumalamme... on yksi'... hepreaksi אחד = echad (5. Moos. 6: 4).
The Apostle Paul also believed in one God, and he made it clear in his three epistles (Gal. 3: 20; Eph. 4: 6; 1. Tim. 2: 5). Paul's faith must have been based on the Jewish creed, Shema, according to which 'our God is one'... in Hebrew אחד = echad (Deut. 6: 4).
Niin kuin Paavali tunnusti vain yhden Jumalan, samoin hän tunnusti myös vain yhden Herran (hepr. Adon ) Room. 10: 12; Ef. 4: 5, 6, joka on ainoa välimiehemme 1. Tim. 2: 5.
Just as Paul confessed only one God, so did he confess also only one Lord (in Hebrew Adon) Rom. 10: 12; Eph. 4: 5, 6, who is our only mediator 1. Tim. 2: 5.
Koska Jumala on yksi, Hän puhuu itsestään yksikössä ja luonnollisesti sen ensimmäisessä persoonassa, sillä onhan Hän universumin ensimmäinen 'minä'. Juuri niin Hän teki ilmoittaessaan Moosekselle nimekseen אהיה, Ehjee, Minä olen (2. Moos. 3: 14).
Because God is one, He speaks of Himself in singular and naturally in the first person, for He is the first 'I' in the universe. This is what He did when He announced His name אהיה, Ehyeh, I am, to Moses (Ex. 3: 14).
Jeshua on tullut Isänsä nimessä (Joh. 5: 43). Niinpä Hän toisti moneen kertaan sanoja 'minä olen...' (hepr. אני הוא = anii huu). Nämä sanat esiintyvät jo Mooseksen virressä: אני אני הוא = anii anii huu, minä, minä olen hän (5. Moos. 32: 39).
Yeshua has come in the name of His Father (John 5: 43). So He repeated the words 'I am' (in Henrew אני הוא = ani hu). These words already appear in the hymn/song of Moses: אני אני הוא, ani, ani hu = I, I am he (Deut. 32: 39).
Ylistys yhdelle Jumalalle tulee varmuudella sisältymään myös Mooseksen ja Karitsan vierteen (Ilm. 15: 3), sillä Jumala on kautta aikain yksi ja ainoa. 'Katsokaa nyt, että minä, minä olen, eikä yhtäkään jumalaa ole minun rinnallani. Minä kuoletan, ja minä teen eläväksi, minä lyön ja minä parannan; eikä ole sitä, joka pelastaisi minun käsistäni' (5. Moos. 32: 39). Todellisen Jumalan tuntee siitä, että Hän hallitsee sekä elämän että kuoleman.
Praise to one God will surely also be found in the song of Moses and the Lamb (Rev. 15: 3), for God is one and only through the ages. 'See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and make alive, I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand' (Deut. 32: 39). How do you know the true God; He controls both life and death.
Totuus yhdestä ainoasta todellisesta Jumalasta ei muutu milloinkaan. Langenneet enkelitkin tietävät tämän. Heidän johtajansa, Saatana on tekeytynyt Jumalaksi pettääkseen ihmisiä. Mutta hänen valtansa ei ole jumalallista, sillä hän ei voi antaa elämää. The truth of one true God never changes. Fallen angels know this too. Satan has pretended to be God to deceive people. But his power is not divine, for he cannot give life. Although Satan is the Price of Death, his power didn't work on the Son of God, whom the eternal Father-God saved from death. Demons know this too, but knowledge alone cannot save them. Lucifer-Satan seduced them. They know they have made a wrong choice and therefore they are trembling (James 2: 19; Mark 1: 23, 24).
