Jumalan henki Joosefissa * The Spirit of God in Joseph

Kolminaisuusopin kannattajat sanovat heprean sanan אלהים (elohim) edustavan kolmea jumalaa (huolimatta siitä, että verbi on aina yksikössä), ja he näkevät vetten päällä liikkuneen "Jumalan Hengen" (1. Moos. 1: 2) tarkoittavan jumaluuden kolmatta persoonaa eli Pyhää Henkeä, vaikka itse Jumala on Henki (Joh. 4: 24).

The Trinitarians say that the Hebrew word אלהים (elohim) represents three gods (although the verb is always in singular), and they claim that "the Spirit of God" moving upon the face of the waters is the third divine person, the Holy Spirit/Ghost, although God himself is a Spirit (John 4: 24).

Jeshua opetti kyllin selvästi, mikä Pyhä Henki on.

Jakeessa 14: 26 on Jeshuan sanat: "Mutta Puolustaja, Pyhä Henki, jonka ISÄ ON LÄHETTÄVÄ MINUN NIMESSÄNI, opettaa teille kaikki ja muistuttaa teitä kaikesta, mitä minä olen sanonut"...

Yeshua taught clearly enough what the Holy Spirit is. He said: "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter; that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU comfortless: I WILL COME TO YOU" (John 14: 16 - 18).

Yeshua' words in 14: 26: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the FATHER WILL SEND IN MY NAME, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you"...

and then in 15: 26: "But when the Comforter is come, whom I WILL SEND UNTO YOU FROM THE FATHER, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"...

and then Matthew 28: 20: "and, lo, I AM with you alway, even unto the end of the world."

Thus the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, is a spirit common to the Father and the Son, because they are one in everything (John 10: 30). When the Father sends the Comforter in the name of the Son, it means that the Son himself comes to comfort God's children, just like Yeshua said: "I will not leave you comfortless/fatherless, I WILL COME to you" and "I AM WITH YOU alway, even unto the end of the world."

After his resurrection Yeshua had changed. He was no longer dependent on body restrictions, for He had become a spirit (2. Cor. 3: 17). He appeared before the disciples through the closed doors, on Emmaus´path and disappeared also from there and appeared again on a the shore of the lake to roast fish.

Puolustaja, Pyhä Henki, tarkoittaa siis itse Jeshuaa, Jumalan Poikaa, pelastussuunnitelman eri tehtävävaiheessa. Mitään kolmatta jumalpersoonaa ole olemassakaan.

The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, is Yeshua himself, the Son of God at different tasks of the rescue plan There is no third god personality at all.

Elohistisessa luomiskertomuksessa mainittu "Jumalan henki" ei sekään tarkoita kolmatta jumalpersoonaa, vaan yksinkertaisesti Jumalaa itseään, henki-Jumalaa (Joh. 4: 24).

"The Spirit of God" mentioned in the Elohistic creation story doesn't either mean any third god personality, but simply God himself, the spirit-God (Joh. 4: 24).

"Jumalan Henki/henki" on hepreaksi רוח אלהים (ruach elohim). Juuri nuo sanat esiintyvät hepreaksi 1. Moos. 1: 2:ssa. Täsmälleen samanlaiset sanat löydämme myös 1. Moos. 41: 38:ssa: Tuossa jakeessa on tallennettuna Egyptin faraon sanat, jotka koskevat hänen eteensä vankityrmästä tuotua Joosefia: Farao kysyi: "Voisimmeko löytää ketään, jossa on JUMALAN HENKI (רוח אלהים) niinkuin tässä?"

The Spirit/spirit of God is in Hebrew רוח אלהים (ruach elohim). Just those words are in Hebrew in Gen. 1: 2. Precisely the same words are also in Gen 41: 38. In that verse there are the words of the Egyptian Pharaoh concerning Joseph, who was brought from the prison before him. The Pharaoh asked: "Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom THE SPIRIT OF GOD (רוח אלהים) is?"

Pharaoh immediately noticed, that the spirit of Joseph was different than the spirit of all others. Joseph had left his life in God's direction/leadership, and the influence of God's spirit was visible in all his words and deeds. Or did the third god personality dwell/live in Joseph? Hardly not... a person in a person! Joseph had chosen to serve God, and the Spirit of God influenced on him.

Paha henki on saatanallinen henki.

One can choose between two spirits only; good or evil. If we imagine that "the Spirit of God" is a person, then we must also think that "the spirit of evil" is a person, too. Thus it's Satan himself inside everyone, who has chosen an evil spirit. Is it possible for Satan to be divided into so many persons? Just impossible! An evil spirit is a satanic spirit.

Let's make a chose to serve God, that His spirit would influence on us as it did on Joseph!

Eevan salaisuus * The secret of Eve

Vuonna 2007 aloin aktiivisesti etsiä nimen יהוה Jahve/Jehova lähtökohtaa ja alkuperää, mutta olin jo monia vuosia aikaisemmin merkinnyt Raamatussani kysymerkeillä kaksi tekstiä, joiden ristiriitaisuus oli kummastuttanut minua suuresti. Tekstit ovat 2. Moos. 6: 3 ja 1. Moos. 4: 26 (vertaa myös 1. Moos. 13: 4 )

In 2007 I started actively searching the starting point and origin of the name יהוה Yahweh/Jehovah, but already many years before I had marked with a question two verses in my Bible and wondered the conflict between them. The texts are Ex. 6: 3 and Gen. 4: 26 (compare also Gen. 13: 4).

Exoduksen (2.

According Exodus it seems that the name יהוה (Yahweh/Jehovah) had not been announced before Moses, who lived about 1400 BC. or about 2300 - 2400 years after the creation. However according to Genesis it seems that people began to use the name יהוה, and "call upon the name of the Lord" already in the time of Enos. Enos was the son of Adam's son Seth, and he was born 235 years after the creation.

Minun vastaukseni on: he keksivät sen itse... eli he loivat oman jumalansa!

How can you explain that people were calling Yahweh's name יהוה already 2000 years earlier than God supposedly announced the name? When there is only one real God and He didn't announce any name to the people in the time of Enos, how did they know that name? My answer is: they invented it themselves... or they created their own god!

Could it be possible that people would have the right to name God? It would be the same if the child named his parents, and it would be very weak and unreliable expression of the right names of the parents!

It's true and it can be proved in the Bible that God announced His name to Moses, BUT that name is אהיה, EHYEH (Ex. 3: 14)! That perfect name of God, I AM, has been tried to claim the same as יהוה (Yahweh/Jehovah), but everyone with eyesight can see with their own eyes, that אהיה is not the same as יהוה!

Mistä יהוה voisi olla sitten lähtöisin?
1. Ihmisiltä, jotka elivät Enoksen aikaan (1. Moos. 4: 26b).
3. Eevalta, sillä Eeva on ensimmäinen ihminen, jonka kerrotaan lausuneen tuon nimen,
Neljännen luvun ensimmäisessä jakeessa kerrotaan Kainin syntymästä, ja siinä yhteydessä Eevan sanotaan lausuneen "Minä olen saanut pojan Herran avulla"

Where the name יהוה could come from?
1. From people, who were living in the time of Enos (Gen. 4: 26b).
2. From Cain and his descendants, for in the fourth chapter of Genesis there is specially a story about Cain and his family. It's known that Cain lived 730 years, thus he was living very long with Enos, and the time was counted then from the descendants of Adam and Seth.
3. From Eve, for Eve was the first to name that name יהוה. In the first verse of the fourth chapter of Genesis it's told about Cain's birth, and Eve said then "I have gotten a man from the Lord."

Kyseiset Eevan sanat hepreaksi:
* Kainin nimi on johdettu heprean verbistä קנה (kanah), joka merkitsee "hankkia/voittaa/saavuttaa/ostaa", puhekielessä "hommata".
* Sana איש ei merkitse poikaa vaan miestä.
* את יהוה muodostuu prepositiosta ja tetragrammista. Prepositio את merkitsee "jonkun kanssa/puolella/yhteydessä toimimista - tasavertaisuutta jonkun kanssa/rinnalla/lisäksi - jonkun avulla - jonkun läsnäollessa/vieressä/lähellä olemista", ja tetragrammi, יהוה, suomennetaan yleensä sanalla "Herra."

Eve's words in Hebrew:
* Cain's name is derived from the Hebrew verb קנה (kanah), which means "to acquire".
* The word איש means really "man" not "son".
* את יהוה is made up of preposition and Tetragrammaton. The preposition means "with someone/on someone's side - equal with someone/next to someone/in addition to someone - with someone'shelp -  in the presence of someone/close to someone", and usually the Tetragrammaton has been translated  "the Lord."

Even the English translation lets us to understand that Eve was grateful to the Lord (יהוה) for the child she had got (as a gift). The Hebrew texts shows for itself that Eve was proud/arrogant of her achievement to acquire a man with the Lord (יהוה). To get a gift and to acquire are different things! Apparently Eve felt that she was continuing God's creation, for by giving birth to a new life, she increased the number of people. Wasn't she like God... a goddess at least!

(ELOHIM)! Heprean tekstissä ei ole sanaa Eeva!

When we speak about Cain it's worth to remember that his name doesn't belong at all to Adam's Family List (the fifth chapter of Genesis), although he is the first child of Eve. So, who was the father of Cain? It hasn't been said clearly enough, and it involves something secretive. It seems that Adam didn't worry about Cain's fate but about Abel's death (Gen. 4: 25, 26a). And when Seth was born Adam thanked God for having received a son instead of Abel, and he called God אלהים (Elohim)! There is no name Eve in the Hebrew text!

Eve worshipped יהוה (Yahweh), but Adam called his God אלהים (Elohim)!
So, there were two different objects to worship already in the beginning... two deities!

The mother-child myth is typical of all pagan religions, but in the Bible it's told about the salvation, which comes from the FATHER and the SON. Mother-child-myth themes existed right after the first murder. It's clear that Eve did cry of her lost son, Abel. But Abel's death and Cain's terrible act didn't move Cain at all ("am I my brother's keeper"). However Abe's death must have been an awful tragedy for the first family. Despite of his transgression Cain wanted to maintain a close relationship with his mother.

It's human and very obvious that Adam and Eve had even after Eden continued to blame each other  on whose sin was greater. Perhaps Eve has been marked a scapegoat even before her children. Maybe it was easier for Cain to approach the guilty mother after his transgression than his father. Cain had to do something to relieve the family atmosphere, and maybe he invented new procedures or even religious activities. Perhaps the mother-child-myth was born in Cain's mind when Eve was crying for Abel, for Cain's religion is called "the Religion of Lamentation." Abel's blood was the beginning for the continuous bloodshed in the pagan religions to appease the gods. Some scholars equate Abel to Tammuz, the incarnation of Nimrod.

The Father-God described in the Bible, who was in His Son, Yeshua, and reconciled the world unto Himself (2. Cor. 5: 19) doesn't need any appease and not continuous sacrifices but obeying (1. Sa. 15: 22). Perhaps Cain intended to establish his own religion already when he brought an offering to the Lord, יהוה, for nobody didn't urged him to such an activity, but he invented it by himself. Abel joined to Cain's religious activity. However he understood according to his parent's stories that the salvation of the mankind depends on the sacrifice of "the woman's seed" (Gen. 3: 15) or on the Human sacrifice, and therefore he gave a symbolic animal offering.

Abel's thought and action were right and even יהוה (Yahweh) accepted it. But it raised envy, hatred and murderess mind in Cain. Because God (Ehyeh) never wakes up envy, hatred or murderess mind etc. but gives the fruits of the Spirit to His followers (Gal. 5: 22), I think behind the name יהוה must be hiding Ehyeh's Opponent.

Eevan nimi on hepreaksi חווה (Havva/Chavva), joka kirjoitetaan kuitenkin vain yhdellä ו-kirjaimella, jonka keskellä vasemmalla puolella on piste ilmaisemassa toista vau-kirjainta. Ilman tuota pistettä Eevan nimi näyttää tältä: חוה.

Eve's name in Hebrew is חווה (Havva/Chavva), but it's written with one ו only, which had a point in it's center in order to express the other vau-letter. Without that point Eve's name looks like this: חוה.

Samannäköinen heprean verbi, חוה, merkitsee "kunnioituksen osoittamista ihmiselle maahan kumartamalla." Moos. 19: 1:ssä ja 5. Moos. 4: 19:ssa. Eevan nimen ja kyseisen verbin samankaltaisuus saa minut ajattelemaan, että ehkä Eeva halusi nousta taivaan jumalattareksi, jollaiseksi myöhemmin myös Semiramis ja neitsyt-Maria on nostettu; hekin molemmat äiti-lapsi-myytin perinteisiä edustajia.

A similar Hebrew verb, חוה, means "to show respect for a man by bending down to the earth." It means also "bow to the stars and idols", and it occurs in Gen. 19: 1 and Deut. 4: 19. The similarity between Eve's name and this verb makes me think, that perhaps Eve wanted to raise to the position of the heavenly goddess, just like Semiramis and the virgin-Mary have been raised; both of them representing the mother-child myth.

Eve's name also reminds us of the Hebrew verb havah, הוה, from which it's said the Tetragrammaton, יהוה, has been derived. But some Hebrew experts say there is no "havah" in the Tetragrammaton at all. "Havah" means "become to something/stay in place/strive for something/benefit from something". All those meanings fits very well even to Eve. Eve "became to something", when "she became the mother of all living" (Gen. 3: 20). When she accepted to be the mythic mother in Cain's religion, she "stayed" like "in place" to defend her previous choice in Eden, and at the same time she strived for the mythic position of the first goddess. Perhaps she also benefited of that status during her long life, when she was accused of the wrong choice, which caused curse and death to the whole mankind.

A Hebrew substantive, הוה, reminding Eve's name, means "lust/passion/destruction/undoing", and also all that have been true from the Fall!

When man is unwilling to confess the sins, he begins to look for defense and explanations and build a virtuous story of his actions. How was it with Eve? Did she humble herself to confess her sins or did she start to build a scenes for it, or did it some others for Eve?

Kauko Allénin maalauksessa ovat edustettuina kaikki pakanalliset aiheet (valheet eli sammakot):
1. taivaan jumalatar, egyptiläinen Nuit (vrt. Eeva)
2. Nuitin kohdussa sikiävä myytti Semiramiksesta, Nimrodista ja Tammuksesta (vrt. Pyhä Kolminaisuus). Tammus on pseudo-messias ja hänen toimensa korvike Jumalan Pojan kuolemalle ja ylösnousemukselle
3. kristillinen ikoni: Neitsyt-Maria ja Jeesus-lapsi on jatke Tammus-myytille, sillä Tammus syntyi joulukuun 25. päivänä
4. koko maapallo valheen otteessa Jahven nimessä (יהוה), jonka pyhyyttä todistellaan neljällä taivaallisella olennolla (Hes. 1: 10; Ilm. 4: 7), joista rakentuu sfinksi, jonka voima tulee 72 Goetia-demonilta.

All pagan topics (lies or frogs) can be seen in Kauko Allén's painting:
1. the heavenly goddess, an Egyptian Nuit (compare Eve)
2. the myth of Semiramis, Nimrod and Tammuz (compare the Holy Trinity) in the womb of Nuit. Tammuz is the pseudo-messiah and his actions a substitute for the death and resurrection of the Son of God
3. the Christian icon: the Virgin Mary and the Baby-Jesus is an extension of the myth of Tammuz, for Tammuz was born in the 25th of December
4. the whole globe with a lie in the name of Yahweh (יהוה), whose holiness is proved by the four heavenly creatures (Eze. 1: 10; Rev. 4: 7), of which the sphinx is built, which power comes from 72 Goethia demons.

Pois kuoleman varjosta * Out from the shadow of death

After his baptism Yeshua stayed in Judea and remained preaching the gospel of the kingdom of heaven and healing the diseases of men. Apparently Yeshua and John the Baptist worked together, for both of them had the same message of repentance to the people, and they both baptised men, when they confessed their sins.

But only John writes about Yeshua's ministry in Judea. The other three evangelists do not mention it at all. Matthew and Mark mention only that Yeshua left for Galilee at that point when John the Baptist was cast into prison (Matthew 4: 12; Mark 1: 14, 15). However, both evangelists get the impression that it would have happen immediately after Yeshua's baptism. John's gospel complements the narrative of other evangelists. John reveals that Yeshua's popularity in Judea rose above John's favor, for "all men came to him" to have baptism (John 3: 26). It's clear that such popularity can't arise in one day. Yeshua worked in Judea a good time before leaving to Galilee.

On outoa, että evankelistat vaikenevat Juudean ajan tapahtumista. Mutta tuomio alkaa Jumalan huoneesta (1. Piet.

It's strange that the evangelists are silent about the events of Judea. But the judgment begins with the house of God (1. Peter 4. 17), and there Yeshua began also to preach the gospel, and even the disciples had to do the same thing (Acts 1: 8). In this way the leaders of Israel were first given the privilege of hearing Yeshua's teaching.

The imprisonment of John was a message to Yeshua about the choice made by the leaders. They had heard the gospel of the kingdom of heaven both from John and Yeshua but hardened their heart and begun to persecute both of them. It's obvious that Yeshua's miracles and especially the healings on Sabbath irritated the minds of the leaders (John. 5: 1 - 18). Yeshua saw the direction of their choice and He considered it best to go looking for new listeners in Galilee.

Matt. 4: 15, 16).

Yeshua, however, didn't settle for his childhood landscapes in Nazareth but headed north to Capernaum on the shores of Lake Galilee. The evangelists saw here Isaiah's prophecy. "The land of Zabulon, and the land of Naphthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; the people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up" (Isa 9: 1, 2 compare Matthew 4: 15, 16).

Millä perusteella erityisesti Sebulonin ja Naftalin alueella elävien ihmisten voitiin sanoa elävä Kuoleman maassa ja varjossa? Emmekö me kaikki ihmiset ole saman kohtalon alaisia, sillä kuolema on meidän jokaisen osa! Voisiko kaupungin nimi antaa jotakin valaistusta tähän kysymykseen? Kapernaum on hepreaksi כפר נחום (keper-nachum) eli Naahumin kylä. Hyvin samankaltainen nimi on myös קבר נחום (qeber-nachum) eli Naahumin hauta.

On what bases could people, especially in the area of Zabulon and Naphthalim, be told to live in the land and shadow of death? Are we not all subject to the same fate, for death is part of every one of us! Could the city name give some light to this question? Capernaum is in Hebrew כפר נחום (keper-nachum) or the village of Nahum. Very much similar name is also קבר נחום (qeber-nachum) or the tomb of Nahum.

Profeetta Naahumin lyhyt kolme lukua sisältävä kirja löytyy Vanhasta Testamentista. Kirjan alussa Naahumin kerrotaan olevan Elkosilainen (Naah. 1: 1). Elkosin/Alkoshin tiedetään sijainneen n. 20 km Jerusalemista lounaaseen, ja Naahumin tiedetään toimineen profeettana Juudan kuningaskunnan puolella n. 640 eKr., sekä kirjoittaneen kirjansa juuri ennen Niiniven tuhoa 615 - 612 eKr. Miksi kuitenkin Kapernaumia kutsutaan Naahumin kyläksi tai Naahumin haudaksi?

A short three-capture book of the prophet Nahum  can be found in the Old Testament. In the beginning of the book it's told that Nahum came from Elkosh (Nahum 1: 1). It's known that Elkosh/Alkosh was located 20 km southwest of Jerusalem, and that Nahum worked in the kingdom of Judea about 640 B.C., and that he wrote his book just before the destruction of Niniveh 615 - 612 B.C. But why is Capernaum called the village of Nahum or the tomb of Nahum?

Nahum is probably buried in Capernaum, for the whole village is known to have been built around the tomb of Nahum and the memorial. It's also possible that even Nahum's message/proclamation has left Capernaum with a stamp of death. Namely there are only two light verses in Nahum's book telling just about the declaration of death and judgement to the city of Niniveh.

Even about 200 years before Nahum the prophet Jonah had declared judgment to Niniveh (800 B.C.), but his declaration raised the people to repent, and the city was pardoned and saved. But the same wicked thing returned and the city of Niniveh was destroyed in 612 B.C. The destruction was so perfect that even the location of the city was forgotten, and for example Alexander the Great in the battle of Arbela 331 B.C. didn't know that the ancient city of Niniveh was buried under the adjacent hill. Niniveh was found in 1842.

Niniveh faced judgment and destruction, when it had forgotten God's grace it got in the time of Jonah and hardened it's heart against the warnings of Nahum. Likewise the expectation of judgment was hovering above Jerusalem, when Yeshua left to Galilee.

Meidän jokaisen on syytä tuntea armonaika omalla kohdallamme (Joh. 3: 16 - 18).

Everyone of us have a good reason to know our own time of grace (John 3: 16 - 18). God's grace is revealed in Yeshua, and only our personal relationship with Him can save us in the judgment day and open for us the way out from the shadow of death to the eternal life.

Jeshuan sanoma galilealaisille oli: "Tehkää parannus, sillä taivasten valtakunta on tullut lähelle" (Matt. 4: 17). Sama sanoma on ajankohtainen vielä tänäänkin!

Yeshua's message to the Galileans was: "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4: 17). The same message is actual even today!

Hävytön kiusaaja * Disgusting tempter

Jeshua suostutteli Johanneksen kastamaan Hänet sanoessaan: "Salli nyt; sillä näin meidän sopii täyttää kaikki vanhurskaus" (Matt. 3: 15). Jeshuan missiohan on alusta loppuun saakka Jumalan laupeutta ihmiskuntaa kohtaan (Joh. 3: 16).

Yeshua persuaded John to baptize Him by the words: "suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness" (Matthew 3: 15). Franz Delitzsch has translated the words "all righteousness" into Hebrew כל הצדקה, which can also be translated "all mercy". Yeshua's mission is from the beginning to the end God's mercy towards humanity (John 3: 16).

Laupeus ei kuulu Saatanan ominaisuuksiin alkuunkaan. Hän aloitti armottoman taistelunsa maailman Vapahtajaa vastaan välittömästi tämän noustua Jordanin vedestä. Kerrotaan, että "sitten henki vei Jeesuksen ylös erämaahan perkeleen kiusattavaksi" (Matt. 4: 1).

Compassion/mercy doesn't at all belong to Satan's quality/features. He began his ruthless struggle against the Saviour of the world immediately when He got up from Jordan. It's said "then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil" (Matthew 4: 1).

The word רוח (ruach) appears only in the Old Testament almost 400 times meaning many different things such as breathing, sigh, respiratory air, exhalation/blowing, breeze/whiff, emptiness/nothing, wind, compass point, spirit of life, mind/thought/way of thinking, mood, courage, bad mood/irritation, skill/ability or God's spirit. More over when we remember that all angels are also spirits, even all the fallen angels, we have a silly question: what spirit took Yeshua into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil?

Onneksi Jeshua ei jättänyt meitä epäselvyyteen! Isä meidän rukouksen osio "äläkä saata meitä kiusaukseen" vakuuttaa ainakin minut siitä, ettei kysymyksessä voinut olla Jumalan henki. Olisiko Jeshua voinut jättää meille ensin mallirukouksen ja sitten esimerkin siitä, miten Isä jättää siihen vastaamatta! Vahvistaisiko sellainen ihmisen heikkoa uskoa!

Fortunately Yeshua didn't leave us in doupt! Part of our Father's Prayer assures at least me that God's spirit can't be in question. How could Yeshua at first give us a model of prayer and then an example of how the Father leaves it unanswered! How could it ever strengthen weak human faith!

I find it quite clear that it was Satan himself that took Yeshua into the wilderness in his great irritation and wrath, like he took Yeshua also from the wilderness to Jerusalem and on the top of the temple. The active spirit has been revealed clearly enough in this story! Satan's three temptations to Yeshua are full of disrespect and wrath.

However Satan had to arrest his rage for 40 days, for he wanted to attack Yeshua when he was weakest both physically and mentally. Yeshua's 40 days in the wilderness reminds me of the 40 years of Israel in the wilderness, when bread and water were needed every day and many rebellions were caused by them. Ultimately the merciful God arranged for them a guarantee of bread, manna, but it's worthiness was dependent on the obedience of the people to God's instructions.

1. kiusaus: "Jos sinä olet Jumalan Poika, niin käske näiden kivien muuttua leiviksi" (Matt. 4: 3).
"Kivi" on hepreaksi אבן (even), monikossa אבנים (avanim), mutta arameassa tässä kyseisessä jakeessa esiintyy kiveä/lohkaretta/kalliota tarkoittava sana כאפא.

1. temptation: "If thou be the son of God, command that these stones be made bread" (Matthew 4: 3). Stone is in Hebrew אבן (even), the plural אבנים (avanim), but in Aaramaic there is the word כאפא meaning stone/block/rock. The same word appears also in 1. Cor. 10: 4, where Paul states that "that rock was Messiah/Christ".

Saatana heitti Hänelle ilkeän herjan: no, Vesilähde, muutapa nyt nämä kivet/kalliot sitten leiviksi. Saatana asetti Jeshuan jumalallisen alkuperän ja voiman kyseenalaiseksi mitä inhottavimmalla tavalla!

The rock that gave water to the Israelis in the wilderness was now before Satan to be tempted of him. Satan threw a nasty dude to Him; oh you, Water-fountain, change then these stones to bread. Satan questioned Yeshua's divine origin and power in tho most disgusting way!

Moos. 8: 3 vrt. Matt. 4: 4). Jeshua on myös Jumalan lihaksi tullut Sana (Joh. 1: 1 - 3, 14). Jeshua todisti Saatanalle, että samalla tavalla kuin Hän vettä antavana kalliona pelasti Israelin nääntymästä janoon erämaassa, samoin Hän Jumalan sanana takaa leivän koko luomakunnalle ilman, että hänen tarvitsisi ryhtyä muuttamaan kiviä/kallioita leiviksi. Saatanan ensimmäinen kiusaus ei voinut murtaa Jeshuan uskoa siihen, että Hän on kirjoituksissa luvattu Messias.

But Yeshua had the right answer to Satan's delusion: "man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Deut. 8: 3 compare Matthew 4: 4). Yeshua is also God's Word that was made flesh (John 1: 1 - 3, 14). Yeshua testified to Satan that in the same way as He, being the rock, saved the Israelis from starving to thirst, He'll, being God's word, guarantee bread to all creation without changing the stones/rocks to bread. Satan's first temptation could not break Yeshua's faith that He is the promised Messiah.

2. kiusaus: Vietyään Jeshuan Jerusalemiin pyhäkön harjalle Saatana kehoitti häntä heittäytymään sieltä alas ja koettelemaan Mooseksen psalmin lupausta "sillä hän antaa enkeleilleen sinusta käskyn varjella sinua kaikilla teilläsi. He kantavat sinua käsillänsä, ettet jalkaasi kiveen loukkaisi" (Ps. 91: 11, 12 vrt. Matt. 4: 6). Huomattuaan ensimmäisen kiusauksensa menneen pieleen Jeshuan vastatessa hänelle kirjoituksilla, Saatana otti opikseen ja päätti siteerata nyt kirjoitettua sanaa.

2. temptation: When Satan took Yeshua to Jerusalem on the top of the temple and told him to cast himself down, he tried to get Yeshua to test the promise in the Psalm of Moses "for he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone" (Ps. 91: 11, 12 compare Matthew 4: 6).  When Satan found how he failed with his first temptation when Yeshua succeeded in answering with the written words, he learned his lesson and decided to cite the written words, too.

Erämaavaelluksen yhteydessä kansa oli sortunut monta kertaa kiusaamaan Jumalaa epäilemällä hänen läsnäoloaan, vaikka Jumala oli nimenomaan esittäytynyt nimellä "Minä Olen" ja luvannut auttaa heitä kaikessa, eli olla heidän kanssaan. Erityisesti juuri Massassa, jossa kansa sai vettä kalliosta, kansa solvasi Jumalaa sanoen"Onko Herra meidän keskellämme vai ei? (2. Moos. 17: 7).

In the wilderness the Israelis had many times fallen to tempt God by doubting His presence, although God had clearly presented Himself to them by the name "I Am" and promised to help them in everything, or to be with them. Especially in Massah, where they got water from the rock, they offended God, saying, "Is the Lord among us, or not" (Ex. 17: 7).

Toisessa kiusauksessaan Saatana otti solvauksensa kohteeksi itse Jumalan, joka oli lähettänyt Jeshuan (Joh. 5: 30 + kymmeniä muita jakeita, joissa Jeshua todistaa uskonsa siihen, että Hän on Jumalan lähettämä). Hetkeäkään epäröimättä Jeshua vastasi Saatanalle mukaillen Deuteronomiumin sanoja, jotka kuuluvat: "Älkää kiusatko Herraa, teidän Jumalaanne, niinkuin kiusasitte häntä Massassa" (Matt. 4: 7; 5. Moos. 6: 16).

In the second temptation Satan offended God Himself, who had sent Yeshua (John 5: 30 + tens of verses telling about the same thing). Without hesitation Yeshua answered Satan citing the words from Deuteronomium, saying: "Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted Him in Massah" (Matthew 4: 7; Deut. 6: 16).

Jeshua oli 100%:sti vakuuttunut Lähettäjänsä nimestä Minä Olen (2. Moos.

Yeshua was 100% convinced of God's name I Am (Ex. 3: 14) or Ehyeh, and He knew of his strong experience that the Father was with Him. Thus it was in vain to call the angels for help, when the Father Himself was present!

3. kiusaus: Varmaankin Jeshuan horjumattomuus uskossaan ja täydellinen luottamus Jumalaan ärsytti Saatanaa yhä suurempaan raivoon. Niinpä hän väitti itseään tämän maailman hallitsijaksi, jota Jeshuan olisi syytä kumartaa.

3. temptation: It's sure that Yeshua's unwavering faith and complete trust in God irritated Satan in an ever-greater rage. So he claimed to be the ruler of this world, whom Yeshua had to bow to.

Mutta jälleen Jeshua osoitti, miten hyvin Hän tunsi Vanhan Testamentin kirjoitukset. Vastauksessaan Saatanalle Jeshua yhdisteli Deuteronomiumin tekstien ajatuksia (5. Moos. 6: 4, 5 ja 6: 13; 10: 20 vrt. Matt. 4: 10).

But Yeshua showed once again how well He knew the writings of the Old Testament. He combined the thoughts of Deuteronomium's texts (Deut. 6: 4, 5 and 6: 13; 10: 20 compare Matthew 4: 10).

Yeshua emphasised the single God. In this way Yeshua gave his confession before Satan. We can read His confession also in John 17: 3. There is the only true God, not two Gods, nor three. Yeshua was not a trinitarian, for the Trinity is Satan's doctrine. Because there is only one true God in the whole universe, He is the only One, we should bow to.

Jeshua torjui Saatanan hyökkäykset sanan voimalla ja ajoi hänet menemään. Ja Saatanan lähdettyä enkelit tulivat palvelemaan Jeshuaa. Paha henki vaihtui jumalalliseen henkeen.

Yeshua rejected Satan's attacks by the power of the word and told him go away. When Satan left Him, angels came to minister him. The evil spirit was changed to divine spirit.

Joonan merkki * Jonah's sign

Vaikka fariseukset ja kirjanoppineet olivat varmasti lukeneet profeetta Jesajan ennustukset tulevasta ajasta, jolloin "sokeain silmät ja kuurojen korvat aukenevat" (Jes. 35: 5), jolloin "rampa hyppii niinkuin peura ja mykän kieli riemuun ratkeaa" (Jes. 35: 6), heidän oli lähes mahdotonta uskoa, että nuo profetiat toteutuisivat Jeshuan kautta heidän silmiensä edessä.

Surely the Pharisees and the scribes had read Isaiah's prophecies of the coming time when "the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped" (Isa. 35: 5), when "the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing" (Isa. 35: 6), but it was almost impossible for them to believe that those prophecies would be fulfilled by Yeshua in front of their eyes.

When Yeshua healed a man, possessed with a devil, blind and dumb, the Pharisees were enraged and accused Yeshua, that He is doing His miracles by Beelzebub (Matthew 12: 22 - 30). Yeshua replied that because evil spirits come from Beelzebub/Satan, a counterforce, God's spirit, is needed to cast them out.

Jeshua nuhteli fariseuksia Jumalan hengen pilkkaamisesta (12: 31, 32), muistutti heitä hedelmäpuun laadun ratkeavan sen tuottaman hedelmän laadun mukaan (12: 33), kutsui heitä Johannes Kastajan tapaan "kyykäärmeen sikiöiksi" ja totesi heidän puhuvan pahaa vain oman sydämensä kyllyydestä (12: 34, 35), ja varoitti heitä tulevasta tuomiosta, jolloin jokainen sana punnitaan (12: 36, 37).

Yeshua rebuked the Pharisees for mocking God's spirit (12: 31, 32), reminded them that the quality of a fruit tree is based upon it's fruits (12: 33), called them like John the Baptist "the generation of vipers" and said they were just talking about the content of their own evil hearts (12: 34, 35) and warned them about the coming judgment, when every word shall be justified (12: 36, 37).

The Pharisees were obviously embarrassed by Yeshua's straight words "teachings" and they wanted to shift their attention to something else. So the Pharisees and the scribes asked for a sign (12: 38). A sign! What kind of sign would be in that situation a greater proof about the divine power of Yeshua than the miracle of the blind and dumb man!

So Yeshua ("teacher" as they called Him now) answered them: "An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas" (12: 39). The sign of Jonah, what is it?

Prophet Jonah had worked in the kingdom of Israel about 800 years before Yeshua. God had called Jonah to warn the people of Nineveh, but Jonah had refused and got on board a ship leaving to Tarsis. The storm on the sea was set when Jonah offered to be a victim and he was cast into the sea. Jonah kept on praying and he was saved by a big fish, which at first swallowed him and then threw him on the dry land.

The ship's crew was rescued by Jonah's "victim", and he himself rose "like from the death" after tree days. Thus "Jonah's sign" contains the idea of the sacrifice on behalf of others, death and resurrection. Those omens given by Jonah's concrete life were fulfilled about 800 years later in Yeshua.

No, ainakin mielikuvissaan lukiessaan Joonan pientä kirjaa Toorasta.

But how could it have been possible for the scribes and the Pharisees of Yeshua's time to see that sign? At least they could imagine it in their minds when reading the small book of Jonah from Torah.

Siellä he saivat nähdä myös Joonan merkin, sillä kyyhkynen on hepreaksi יונה (lausutaan joona).

But the same "generation of vipers" was present on Jordan when John baptised people, and when even Yeshua came to him. There they were allowed to see Jonah's sign, for a dove is in Hebrew יונה (pronounced jonah).

Baptism describes death (falling under water) and resurrection (rising from water). It resembles vividly even Jonah's experience, when he fell under water and was brought up (Jonah 2: 6, 7). Jonah was a prophetical sign of the coming Redeemer, Yeshua.

The greatest divine miracle is a sacrifice/death on behalf others and overcoming death/resurrection. There is nothing greater in this world of sin and death!

Surely the Pharisees and the scribes knew all the prophecies of the Torah, on which they should have understand the sign of Jonah, the dove, they were allowed to see on Jordan when Yeshua came up. But they have wanted to close both their eyes and their minds from that miracle. I hope even some of them woke up from their hardness that day, when it was rumoured in Jerusalen that Yeshua's tomb is empty and the crucified is alive.

Kun ennustukset toteutuivat * When the prophecies were fulfilled

All that Matthew tells about the beginning of Yeshua's life in the second chapter of his gospel is actually fulfilling of the Old Testament's prophecies. However Matthew doesn't refer to all prophecies  concerning his theme, but he leaves something for us to investigate. I try now to follow his footsteps and pick up the prophecies, which were fulfilling in his days.

1. Idän viisaat
Jumala oli valinnut Israelin kansan levittämään Hänen tuntemustaan maan päällä. On vaikea tietää, kuinka moni israelilainen osasi odottaa Messiaan syntymää Matteuksen aikaan.

Mutta ainakin me voimme avata Vanhan Testamentin palauttaaksemme mieliimme Messias-ennustukset.

Idän viisaat seurasivat tähteä ja etsivät uutta kuningasta, valtikan käyttäjää, Jumalan voitelemaa Messiasta. Kenties he olivat lukeneet, mitä Bileam oli ennustanut Israelin erämaavaelluksen aikana.
* 4. Moos. 24: 17

* 1. Moos. 49: 10

* Ps. 2: 2, 9
"Maan kuninkaat nousevat, ruhtinaat yhdessä neuvottelevat Herraa ja hänen voideltuansa (hepr. Messiastansa) vastaan... Rautaisella valtikalla sinä heidät muserrat, niinkuin saviastian sinä särjet heidät."
* Ps. 45: 2, 7
"Minun sydämeni tulvii ihania sanoja; minä lausun: kuninkaasta on minun lauluni... Jumala, sinun valtaistuimesi pysyy aina ja iankaikkisesti; sinun valtikkasi on oikeuden valtikka."
* Ps. 60: 9
"Minun on Gilead, minun on Manasse, Efraim on minun pääni suojus, Juuda on minun valtikkani."

Herodes ja "koko Jerusalem" hämmästyivät kuullessaan Idän miehiltä uudesta kuninkaasta ja hänen tähdestään. Eivätkö he siis tunteneet Vanhan Testamentin ennustuksia? Mutta olivatko he salanneet tietonsa?

1. The wise men from the East
God had chosen Israel to spread knowledge of Him on earth. We don't know how many of the Israelis were waiting for the birth of the Messiah in the days of Matthew. Maybe there were some of them, but I find it quite surprising that the wise men of the East, astronomers, were so sure about the birth of the new Jewish King, that they went on a long journey to greet Him.

About 500 years before a Jewish Daniel managed to make a strong impression on Eastern men on the Babylonian and Persian courts. He testified that wisdom and power come from God (Dan. 1: 20). Daniel's writings had been investigated for hundreds of years. The Eastern wise men were familiar with Daniel's texts and therefore they were in the right place at the right time.

I wonder did they have other holy writings? But at least we can open the Old Testament and recall the prophecies about the Messiah.

The Easten wise men were following a star and seeking for a new king, a sceptre user, the Messiah, anointed by God. Perhaps they had read, what Balaam had predicted during the wilderness journey of Israel.
* Num. 24: 17
"I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel..."

Perhaps they knew even the words the patriarch Jacob/Israel had said in his blessing to his son, Judah.
* Gen. 49: 10
"The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh (?) come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."

We can find sceptre-texts even in the psalms:
* Ps. 2: 2, 9
"The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the lord, and his anointed (in Hebrew: Messiah)... Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel."
* Ps. 45: 1, 6
"My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer... Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre."
* Ps. 60: 7
"Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver (in Finnish: my sceptre)."

Herod and the whole Jerusalem were ashamed when they heard the Eastern men speaking about a new king and his star. Didn't they knew Old Testament's prophecies? It seems however that the chief priests and the scribes had knowledge when asked about them. But had they concealed their information?

2. Beetlehem
Profeetta Miika toimi Juudan kuningaskunnan puolella noin 740 - 700 eKr. Ja hänen ennustuksensa koski Messiaan syntymäpaikkaa, Beetlehemiä.
* Miika 5: 1
Messias) Israelissa, jonka alkuperä on muinaisuudesta, iankaikkisista ajoista."

Viisaat miehet saapuivat idästä, ja itä on hepreaksi קדם (qedem). Mutta qedem tarkoittaa myös historiaa ja muinaisuutta. Messias, jota idän miehet tulivat tervehtimään tuli vielä idempää,
מקדם מימי עולם (mi-qedem mimei oolam) eli hamasta muinaisuudesta.

2. Bethlehem
Prophet Micah worked in the kingdom of Judah about 740 - 700 B.C. His prophecy concerned Bethlehem, the birthplace of Messiah.
* Micah 5: 2
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

The wise men came from the East, and east is in Hebrew קדם (qedem). But gedem means also history and ancient time/time immemorial. Messiah, whom the Eastern men came to greet, was from further East, מקדם מימי עולם (mi-qedem mimei olam) or from ancient times.

3. Lahjat ja kumartaminen
Kaukaisten vieraiden ylelliset lahjatkin on paljastettu etukäteen ainakin Salomolle (971 - 931) ja Jesajalle (750 - 630).
* Ps. 72: 10 (Salomon virsi)
"Tarsiin ja saarten kuninkaat tuovat lahjoja, Saban ja Seban kuninkaat veroa maksavat."
* Jes. 60: 6

3. Gifts and bowing
Even the gifts/present of the distant guests have been revealed beforehand at least to Solomon (971 - 931) and Isaiah (750 - 630).
* Ps. 72: 10 (Solomon's song)
"The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts."
* Isa. 60: 6
"The multitudes of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord."

Isaiah's text makes me to think that there were much more wise men, not only three.

* Hoosea 11: 1
* 2. Moos. 4: 22
"Sano silloin faraolle: 'Näin sanoo Herra: Israel on minun esikoispoikani'."

Israelia kutsutaan Jumalan esikoispojaksi, koska yksi israelilainen, itse Messias, on Jumalan esikoinen ennen aikojen alkua. Poimitaanpa tästäkin pari VT:n jaetta.
* Ps. 89: 29 (Etanin virsi)
"Ja minä asetan hänet esikoiseksi, maan kuninkaista korkeimmaksi."
* Sanal. 8: 22 - 31
"Herra loi minut töittensä esikoiseksi, ensimmäiseksi teoistaan, ennen aikojen alkua. Iankaikkisuudesta minä olen asetettu olemaan, alusta asti, hamasta maan ikiajoista.
Ennenkuin syvyyksiä oli, synnyin minä, ennenkuin oli lähteitä, vedestä rikkaita.
Ennenkuin vuoret upotettiin paikoilleen, ennen kukkuloita, synnyin minä,

4. The firstborn, from Egypt
Even Yeshua' family's escape to Egypt and their return have been foretold beforehand through Hosea (753 - 729) and Moses (about 1400 B.C.).
* Hos. 11: 1
"When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt."
* 2. Moos. 4: 22
"And thou shalt say to Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn."

Israel has been called firstborn, because one of them, the Messiah Himself, is God's firstborn before the beginning of time. Let's take two texts from the OT.
* Ps. 89: 27 (Ethan's song)
"Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth."
* Prov. 8: 22 - 31
"The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
When there were no depts, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment:
when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
The I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight,
rejoicing always before him;
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men."

5. Beetlehemin lastensurma
Noin 1500 vuotta ennen Jeshuan syntymää Jaakob/Israel hautasi vaimonsa, Raakelin, Beetlehemiin, Efratan tien varteen (1. Moos. 35: 19), ja noin 900 vuotta myöhemmin profeetta Jeremia (627 - 586) ennusti näin:
* Jer. 31: 15

5. Killed children in Bethlehem
About 1500 years before Yeshua's birth Jacob/Israel buried his wife, Rachel, in Bethlehem, next to the road to Ephrath (Gen. 35: 19), and about 900 years later prophet Jeremiah (627 - 586) gave his prophecy:
* Jer. 31: 15
"Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not."

6.  Nezer, jälkeläinen, Messias
Paikannimeä Nasaret on vaikea löytää Vanhan Testamentin teksteistä, vaikka Matteus perustelee kirjoituksilla Jeshuan asettumista Nasaretin kaupunkiin. Lieneekö kysymyksessä käännösvirhe?  Sana nazarene tarkoittaa hylkyvesaa, ja עיר נצורה (iir nezurah) merkitsee vaikeuksissa olevaa kaupunkia (Jes. 1: 8).

Koska heprean sana נצר (nezer) tarkoittaa jälkeläistä, jälkikasvua, versoa, vesaa samoin kuin myös sana צמה (zemah), jotka on korvattu arameankileisessä Targumissa sanalla Messias, olen taipuvainen uskomaan, että Matteuksen toisen luvun loppuosan viittaus kirjoituksiin tarkoittaa VT:n Messias-lupauksia. Targumissa niitä on useita.

* Jes. 4: 2 (vesa = Messias)
* Jes. 9: 6 (vastaa meidän jaetta Jes. 9: 5)
Profeetta sanoo Daavidin huoneelle, sillä Lapsi on syntynyt meille, Poika on annettu meille, ja Hän on ottanut lain päälleen pitääkseen sen, Hänen nimensä on ikuisuudesta, Ihmeellinen, Väkevä Jumala,  joka elää ikuisesti, Messias, jonka rauha on oleva suuri meidän yllämme Hänen päivinään.
* Jes. 11: 1 (virpi, vesa = Messias)
* Jes. 14: 29
* Jes. 16: 5
Israelin Messiaan valtaistuin vahvistetaan hyvyydellä, ja Hän istuu sillä totuudessa Daavidin kaupungissa tuomiten ja etsien oikeutta ja toteuttaen oikeutta/totuutta.
* Jes. 28: 5
Siihen aikaan Herran Sebaotin Messias on ilon ja ylistyksen kruunu kansansa jäännökselle.
* Jes. 43: 10 (minun palvelijani = Messias)
* Jes. 52: 13 (minun palvelijani = Messias)
* Jer. 33: 13 (lampaitten laskija = Messias)
* Jer. 33: 15 (vesa = Messias)
* Sak. 3: 8 (Vesa = Messias)
* Sak. 6: 12, 13 (mies nimeltä Vesa = Messias)

6. Nezer, descendant, Messiah
It's difficult to find the name Nazareth in the Old Testament, although Matthew justifies with old writings, why Yeshua's settled in Nazareth. Is there a translation error? The word nazarene means abandoned seedling, and עיר נצורה (ir nezurah) means a city in troubles (Isa. 1: 8).

Because the Hebrew word נצר (nezer) means descendat, offspring, spring, seedling as well as the word צמה (zemah), which have been replaced in Aramaic Targum by the word Messiah, I tend to think, that writings mentioned in the end of the second chapter of Matthew refers to the Messiah-promises of the Old Testament. Targum has many of them. I'm just wondering where has the word Messiah/Anointed disappeared from the translations!

Here you have a list of the Messiah-texts according to Targum:
* Isa 4: 2 (branch = Messiah)
* Isa. 9: 6
The prophet said to the house of David, For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and He has taken the law upon Himself to keep it, His name is called from eternity, Wonderful, the Mighty God, who liveth to eternity, The Messiah, whose peace shall be great upon us in His days.
* Isa. 11: 1(branch = Messiah)
* Isa 14: 29
Rejoice not, O, Philistia, all of ye, because the government that hath made you servile is broken; because from the children of Jesse shall come forth the Messiah, and His works among you shall be as a flying serpent.
* Isa 16: 5
Then the throne of the Messiah of Israel shall be established in goodness, and He shall sit upon it in truth in the city of David, judging and seeking justice, and executing truth.
* Isa. 28: 5
At that time, the Messiah of the Lord of hosts shall be for a crown of rejoicing, and for a crown of praise to the remnant of His people.
* Isa 43: 10 (my servant = Messiah)
* Isa. 52: 13 (my servant = Messiah)
* Jer. 33: 13 (he that telleth them = Messiah)
* Jer. 33: 15 (branch = Messiah)
* Zech.3: 8 (branch = Messiah)
* Zech. 6: 12, 13 (branch = Messiah)

Nähdessään kaikkien näiden Vanhan Testamentin ennustusten täyttyvän Jeshuan elämässä Matteuksella on ollut vahvat perusteet evankeliuminsa kirjoittamiselle ja todistuksen antamiselle Jeshuasta kaikille tuleville sukupolville!

When Matthew saw all these Old Testament's prophecies be fulfilled in Yeshua he had strong arguments to write his gospel and to give a testimony of Yeshua to all future generations!

Matteuksen Jeshua * Matthew's Yeshua

Matteus esittelee evankeliuminsa ensimmäisessä luvussa Jeshuan varsin monipuolisesti. Esittelyn kannalta keskeisiä jakeita ovat 1, 20, 21 ja 23.

In the first chapter of his gospel Matthew presents Yeshua in many different ways. The key verses are 1, 20, 21 and 23.

1. Matt. 1: 1 -Jeshua, ihminen, Aabrahamin ja Daavidin poika:
Jakeissa 1 - 17 Matteus johdattelee lukijansa kertaamaan Jeshuan inhimillisiä sukujuuria.

3: 23).  Matteus on laatinut listansa alusta (Aabraham) loppuun (Joosef), ja Luukas puolestaan lopusta (Josef) alkuun päätyen inhimillisessä sukupuussa aina Adamiin saakka.

1. Matthew 1: 1 - Yeshua, man, the son of Abraham and David:
In the verses 1 - 17 Matthew leads his readers to recall the human roots of Yeshua. The genealogy of Yeshua begins from Abraham and ends to Joseph, although Joseph had nothing to do with Yeshua's birth.

According to the promise, God gave in Eden, Messiah should be known as "a seed of woman" (Gen. 3: 15). But in the time of Matthew the family tree was made following the male names. Both Matthew and Luke have joined Joseph's name in Yeshua's family list because "it was supposed" that Yeshua was the son of Joseph (Luke 3: 23). Matthew's list goes from the beginning (Abraham) to the end (Joseph), and Luke's list from the end (Joseph) to the beginning, ending up in the human family tree up to Adam.

2. Matt. 1: 20 - Jeshua, siinnyt pyhyyden hengestä:
Kaikki käännökset, joissa todetaan Jeshuan siinneen "Pyhästä Hengestä" alleviivaavat kolminaisuusoppia, ja korostamalla "Pyhää Henkeä" ne asettavat Isän sivurooliin Jeshuan syntymisen suhteen. Isä on Jeshuan isä/Isä eikä Pyhä Henki!

hepreaksi: מרוח הקדש = min-ruach ha-qodesh = pyhyyden hengestä
רוח (ruach) = henki
קדש (qodesh) = pyhä paikka t. esine
                           pyhäkön käyttöön annetut lahjat
                           PYHYYS (Jumalan pyhyys)
                           pyhäkkö
                           Pyhä (pyhäkön osana)
                           Kaikkeinpyhin (pyhäkön osana)

=> Jeshua sikisi JUMALAN (= ISÄN) PYHYYDEN HENGESTÄ, kun Jumalan SANA tuli lihaksi (Joh. 1: 14)

2. Matthew 1: 20 - Yeshua, conceived of the spirit of holiness:
All the translations, in which it's said that Yeshua was conceived of the Holy Ghost, are underlining the Trinity, and when lifting up "the Holy Ghost" they push the Father aside from the birth of Yeshua. The Father is Yeshua's father/Father not the Holy Ghost!

Both according to the Hebrew and the Aramaic text Yeshua was conceived of "the spirit of holiness".

In Hebrew: מרוח הקדש = min-ruach ha-qodesh = of the spirit of holiness
רוח (ruach) = spirit
קדש (qodesh) = a holy place or a thing
                           gifts given to the sanctuary
                           HOLINESS (God's holiness)
                           sanctuary
                           the Holy (as a part of the sanctuary)
                           the Most Holy (as a part of the sanctuary)

=> Yeshua was conceived OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD'S (= THE FATHER'S) HOLINESS, when God's WORD was made in flesh (John 1: 14).

3. Matt. 1: 21 - Jeshua, Hän vapauttaa/pelastaa:
Sekä hepreaksi että arameaksi Jeshuan nimi kirjoitetaan

Koska enkeli perusteli Joosefille hänen vaimonsa lapselle annettavaa nimeä sanoilla "hän on vapahtava kansansa heidän synneistänsä", kannattaa pitää kiinni lukuarvosta 386 (= 10+300+6+70) arvioitaessa Jeshuan nimen oikeaa kirjoitustapaa. Useita eri vaihtoehtoja on tuotu esille.

Samoin kuin kolminaisuusoppia on korostettu Jeshuan sikiämisellä Pyhästä Hengestä, samoin Jeshuan nimen vaihtoehtoisilla kirjoitustavoilla (esim. יהושע) on haluttu korostaa tetragrammia (יהוה). Okkultismissa Yeshuan nimi kirjoitetaan יהשוה.

3. Matthew 1: 21 - Yeshua, He delivers/saves:
Both in Hebrew and in Aramaic Yeshua's name is written
As a Hebrew verb the same word ישוע means HE DELIVERS/ HE SAVES.

Although I'm not very fond of the Hebrew gematria every now and then I must note it. For example now in this case I want to stress that also the numeral value of Yeshua's name changes if it is written in a different way. The numeral value  of the name ישוע is 386, and of course the numeral value of the the Hebrew verbal expression ("He delivers/He saves") is the same.

Because the angel argued Joseph the name of his wife's son with the words "he shall save his people from their sins", it's worth remembering the number 386 (= 10+300+6+70) when evaluating the correct way of writing Yeshua's name. Several different ways have been brought out.

In the same way when the Trinity has been underlined by connecting the Holy Ghost and Yeshua's breeding, the Tetragrammaton (יהוה) has been underlined by different ways to write the name of Yeshua (for example יהושע).  An occult way to write Yeshua's name is יהשוה

4. Matt. 1: 23 - Jeshua, Jumala meidän kanssamme:
Jakeessa 23 Matteus viittaa Jesajan messiasennustukseen (Jes. 7: 14), jossa on annettu merkiksi se, että nuori nainen/neitsyt (vaimo - 1. Moos. 3: 15) tulee synnyttämään poikalapsen ja antamaan hänelle nimen Immanuel = Jumala meidän kanssamme.

Vain Jumala voi vapahtaa ihmisen synnistä. Koska Jumalan pyhyyden hengestä siinneen Jeshuan tehtävä oli pelastaa kansansa heidän synneistään, on selvää, että Jeshuassa ilmeni Jumalan pelastava voima, toisin sanoen Jeshua oli/on Immanuel, Jumala meidän kanssamme.

Koska Jumala, joka ilmaisi Moosekselle nimekseen אהיה (Ehjee), on toistamiseen vakuuttanut olevansa valitsemiensa Israelin johtajien kanssa (kts. edelliset kirjoitukset), on loogista, että Jumala, joka on Jeshuassa meidän kanssamme, on nimenomaan Ehjee.

4. Matthew 1: 23 - Yeshua, God with us:
In the verse 23 Matthew refers to the Messianic promise of Isaiah (Isa 7: 14), which gives us a sign that a young woman/virgin (woman - Gen. 3: 15) shall give birth to a baby boy and call him Immanuel  = God with us.

Only God is able to deliver man from sin. Because the task/mission of Yeshua conceived of the spirit of God's holiness was to deliver/save his people from their sins, it's clear that God's saving power was manifested in Yeshua, or in other words Yeshua was/is Immanuel, God with us.

Because that God, who expressed his name אהיה (Ehyeh) to Moses, has repeatedly promised to be with his chosen leaders of Israel (look at my previous texts), it's logic that God, who is with us in Yeshua, is exactly Ehyeh.
