Tutkiessani tänään Sananlaskujen kirjaa, huomioni kiinnittyi vuoden 2012 Raamattu kansalle -versiossa oleviin Herra-sanoihin. Kyseinen käännös tunnetaan siitä, että siinä ilmaistaan jokainen tetragrammi muodossa 'HERRA', ja adon/adonai-sanan käännökset muodossa 'Herra'. Kääntäjillä lienee ollut hyvä tarkoitus, mutta joku meni taas sekoittamaan pakan, tai sitten tuli paljastettua jotakin, jonka piti pysyä salassa.
Silmiini osui Sananlaskuissa ainakin 4 tekstiä, joissa tetragrammin vastine on kirjoitettu 'Herra': Sanal. 2: 5; 8: 13; 9: 10; 16: 6. Löytyy siis "HERRAN pelkoa" ja "Herran pelkoa". Kuitenkin hepreassa kaikissa noissa teksteissä on tetragrammi.
Olisiko syytä käydä läpi koko Vanha Tetsamentti!
As I studied the book of Proverbs today, my attention was drawn to the words meaning 'Lord' in the version of 2012, Bible for the People. This translation is known for expressing each Tetragrammaton in the form of 'LORD', and translations of the word adon/adonai in the form of 'Lord'. The translators must have had a good purpose, but someone went to mix it, or something came to light that had to be kept secret.
My eyes hit in the Book of Proverbs at least 4 texts where the equivalent of the Tetragrammaton is written ‘Lord’: Prov. 2: 5; 8:13; 9:10; 16: 6. There is thus "the fear of the LORD" and "the fear of the Lord." However, in Hebrew, all those texts have the Tetragrammaton.
Would it be worth going through the whole Old Testament!

Muutama tunti myöhemmin: Käytyäni läpi koko Sananlaskujen kirjan vuoden 2012 käännöksestä, löysin yhteensä 33 jaetta, joissa on ristiriitaista tietoa koskien tetragrammin ja adon/adonai -sanojen esiintymistä siinä.
Käännöskomitea lienee seurannut jotakin valmista versiota, joka poikkeaa siitä heprean VT:sta, joka minulla on käytössä. Mistä tämä kertoo? Siitä, että tetragrammeja on lisäilty!
A few hours later: After going through the entire 2012 translation of the book of Proverbs, I found a total of 33 verses with conflicting information about the occurrence of the Tetragrammaton and adon/adonai words in it.
The Translation Committee must have followed some finished version that differs from the Hebrew OT I have. What does this mean? Tetragrammatons have been added!
Hepreankielinen Raamattuni on ilmeisesti 1800-luvulta, koska siinä on mukana Franz Delitzschin (1813 - 1890) tekemä käännös Uudesta Testamentista. Olisipa hauska tietää, mikä versio vuoden 2012 Raamatun kääntäjillä oli käytössä, sillä siinä oli vielä 33 adon-pohjaista herra-sanaa Sananlaskujen kirjassa! Minun Heprean Raamatussani niitä ei ole ainuttakaan Sananlaskujen kirjsassa.
My Hebrew Bible is apparently from the 19th century because it includes a translation of the New Testament by Franz Delitzsch (1813 - 1890). It would be fun to know which version the 2012 Bible translators were using, as it still had 33 adon-based lord-words in the Book of Proverbs! There are not a single one in my Hebrew Bible in the Book of Proverbs.

Tarkistin kyseiset tekstit myös ns. Juutalaisten perheraamatusta (jossa on vain Vanha Testamentti). Jokainen Herra-teksti Sananlaskuissa on lähtöisin tetragrammista, joten vuoden 2012 käännöksessä pitäisi lukea 'HERRA' joka kohdassa.
I also checked those texts from the Jewish Family Bible (which contains only the Old Testament). Every 'Lord' word in Proverbs comes from the Tetragrammaton, so in the 2012 version should read ‘LORD’ everywhere.
Sananlaskujen kirjassa jokainen 'Herra'-sana on lähtöisin tetragrammista (tetragrammin lisäksi Sananlaskuissa esiintyy 4 kertaa sana 'elohim' ja 2 kertaa sana 'eloah'). Salomo, kirjan kirjoittaja, eksyi okkultismiin, ja okkultismin lähteiden mukaan hän manasi esiin jokaisen Goetia-demonin, ja rakensi ns. Laajennetun Herran nimen, Shem-ha-Mephorashin tetragrammin ympärille, joten ei ole mitenkään ihmeellistä, ettei hänen kirjassaan esiinny lainkaan sana אדון / אדני adonai/adon, joka varsinaisesti merkitsee Herra/Herrani. Mutta Salomon tekstiä on myös Saarnaajan kirja, jossa esiintyy pelkästää sana Elohim, ei siis yhtäkään tetragrammia tai adon/adonai-sanaa. In the book of Proverbs, every word ‘Lord’ comes from the Tetragrammaton (in addition to the Tetragrammatom the word 'elohim' occurs four times and the word 'eloah' two times in Proverbs). Solomon, the author of the book, got lost in the occult, and according to the sources of the occult, he revealed every Goetian demon, and built the so-called The Extended Name of the Lord based on the Tetragrammmaton, Shem-ha-Mephorash, so it is no wonder that the word אדון / אדני Adonai / adon, which actually means Lord / Lord, does not appear in his book at all. But Solomon wrote also Ecclesiastes and there is no Tetragrammaton no adon/adni but only Elohim. And The Song of Solomon has none of them.
