Moosesko asialla * Is Moses on the case?

Näyttää vahvasti siltä, että yksilön kuolema ja tästä maailmasta poistuminen antaa jälkeenjääville mahdollisuuden asioiden vääristelylle ja edesmenneen henkilön nimen/maineen muuttamiselle! Ehkä jokaisen pitäisi itse kirjoittaa itsestään oma elämäkerta, jotta pysyttäisiin edes jonkunlaisissa kohtuuden rajoissa asioiden muuntelemisessa!

It seems strongly that an individual's death and departure from this world gives the survivors the opportunity to distort things and change the name/reputation of the deceased person! Maybe everyone should write their own biography about themselves, in order to stay at least within some reasonable limits when changing things!

Tässä kirjoituksessa pohdin sitä, mikä lienee totuus Mooseksen elämästä ja hänen tekemisistään.

In this article, I'm ponding what might be the truth about Moses' life and his actions.

Piileskellessään vuosina 1521/22 Wartburgin linnassa Eisenachissa Martti Luther (1483 - 1546) alias Junker Jörg (Yrjö-herra) käänsi 11 viikon aikana Uuden Testamentin kreikasta saksaksi. Päästyään käännöstyössä hyvään vauhtiin Luther keskittyi seuraavaksi Vanhan Testamentin kääntämiseen. Lutherin Uuden Testamentin käännös julkaistiin Filip Melachtonin ja muiden asiantuntijoiden tarkastamana  ja muokkaamana jo vuonna 1522, ja ensimmäinen saksankielinen koko Raamattu julkaistiin vuonna 1543.

While hiding in Wartburg Castle in Eisenach in 1521/22, Martti Luther (1483 - 1546) alias Junker Jörg translated the New Testament from Greek into German in 11 weeks. After getting to a good pace in the translation work, Luther next focused on translating the Old Testament. Luther's translation of the New Testament was published, revised and edited by Filip Melachton and other experts, already in 1522, and the first complete Bible in German was published in 1543.

Mahtoiko Lutherin naamioituminen Yrjö-herraksi (pitkän tukan ja parran kanssa) vaikuttaa siihen, että hän kätki myös Mooseksen hahmon Pentateukin viiden kirjan nimiin; Das Erste Buch Mose (1. Mooseksen kirja), Das zweite Buch Mose (2. Mooseksen kirja), Das dritte Buch Mose (3. Mooseksen kirja), Das vierte Buch Mose (4. Mooseksen kirja) ja Das fünfte Buch Mose (5. Mooseksen kirja).

Could Luther's disguise as Junker Jörg (with long hair and beard) affect the fact that he also hid the figure of Moses in the names of five books of the Pentateuch; Das Erste Buch Mose (The Book of Genesis), Das zweite Buch Mose (The Book of Exodus), Das Dritte Buch Mose (The Book of Leviticus), Das vierte Buch Mose (The Book of Numbers) and Das fünfte Buch Mose (The Book of Deuteronomy).

Nuo Vanhan Testamentin viisi ensimmäistä kirjaa tunnettiin siihen saakka kreikankielisillä nimillä: Genesis (synty), Exodus (lähtö), Leviticus (leeviläinen), Numeri (luvut) ja Deuteronomium (toinen laki).

The first five books of the Old Testament were until then known by their Greek names: Genesis (birth), Exodus (departure), Leviticus (levites), Numeri (numbers) and Deuteronomium (second law).

Mooses on kyllä keskeinen henkilö Pentateukin neljässä kirjassa (2. - 5.), mutta häntä ei mainita sanallakaan Genesiksessä. Mooseksen syntymästä kerrotaan Exoduksen alussa ja Deuteronomiumin lopussa hänen kuolemasta.

Moses is indeed a central figure in the four books of the Pentateuch (2. - 5.), but he is not mentioned by any word in Genesis. The birth of Moses is told at the beginning of Exodus and his death at the end of Deuteronomy.

Pentateukin neljässä kirjassa Mooseksesta puhutaan/kirjoitetaan koko ajan kolmannessa peroonassa, eikä ”Mooses” kerro/kirjoita mitään itsestään minä-muodossa, niin kuin odottaisi tapahtuvan, jos kirjoittaja olisi Mooses itse. Aivan samalla tavalla evankeliumeissa kirjoitetaan Jeshuasta kolmannessa persoonassa. Mutta totta kai näin pitääkin olla, koska Jeshua ei itse kirjoittanut evankeliumeja, vaan Matteus, Markus, Luukas ja Johannes. Siis kuka kirjoitti Pentateukin kirjat?

In the four books of the Pentateuch, Moses is always spoken/written about in the third person, and "Moses" does not say/write anything of himself in the first person, as one would expect to happen if the author were Moses himself. In exactly the same way, the Gospels write about Yeshua in the third person. But of course it has to be like this, because Yeshua himself did not write the Gospels, but Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did. So who wrote the books of the Pentateuch?

Kukapa osaisi kirjoittaa etukäteen elämänsä loppuvaiheista ja omasta kuolemasta? Tuskin siihen kykeni Mooseskaan! Siksi hänen loppuvaiheista ja kuolemasta kertova Deuteronomiumin loppuosa täytyy olla jonkun toisen henkilön kirjoittama!

Who could write in advance about the final stages of his life and his own death? Even Moses was hardly capable of that! Therefore, the rest of Deuteronomy, which tells about his final stages and death, must have been written by someone else!

Exoduksen toisen luvun alussa Mooseksen syntymästä kerrotaan pelkkiä tosiasioita ilman minkäänlaista inhimillistä kiintymyksen tunnetta. Mikäli kirjoittaja on Mooses itse, näyttää siltä, että hänellä ei ollut lämpimiä suhteita sen paremmin geneettisiin vanhempiinsa kuin hänet Niilistä pelastaneeseen faraon tyttäreenkään.

In the beginning of the second chapter of Exodus, the birth of Moses is told simply as facts without any human feeling of affection. If the author is Moses himself, it seems that he did not have a warm relationship with his genetic parents, nor with the Pharaoh's daughter who rescued him from the Nile.

Se tosiasia, että Mooses on keskeinen henkilö Exoduksessa, Leviticuksessa, Numerissa ja Deuteronomiumissa, ei vielä tee hänestä noiden kirjojen kirjoittajaa, eikä ainakaan Genesiksen kirjoittajaa.

The fact that Moses is a central figure in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy does not make him the author of those books, and certainly not the author of Genesis.

On muistettava myös se seikka, että noiden Vanhan Testamentin viiden ensimmäisen kirjan kreikankieliset nimet eivät nekään ole alkuperäisiä nimiä. Nuo viisi kirjaa muodostavat heprealaisen Tanakin (Vanhan Testamentin) ensimmäisen osan, jota hepreaksi kutsutaan nimellä תורה, Toora eli OPETUS.

Tooran ensimmäisen kirjan hepreankielinen nimi on בראשית, beReshit eli Alussa.

Tooran toisen kirjan hepreankielinen nimi on שמות, Shemot eli Nimet.

Tooran kolmannen kirjan hepreankielinen nimi on ויקרא, Vajikra eli Ja Hän kutsui.

Tooran neljännen kirjan hepreankielinen nimi on במדבר, baMidbar eli Erämaassa.

Tooran viidennen kirjan hepreankielinen nimi on דברים, Devarim eli Kertomukset.

It must also be remembered that the Greek names of the first five books of the Old Testament are not original names either. Those five books make up the first part of the Hebrew Tanak (Old Testament), which in Hebrew is called תורה, Torah, or TEACHING.

The Hebrew name of the first book of the Torah is בראשיט, beReshit, or the Beginning.

The Hebrew name of the second book of the Torah is שמות, Shemot, or the Names.

The Hebrew name of the third book of the Torah is ויקרא, Vajikra, or And He called.

The Hebrew name of the fourth book of the Torah is במדבר, baMidbar, or in the Wilderness.

The Hebrew name of the fifth book of the Torah is דברים, Devarim, or the Stories.

Exoduksen hepreankielinen nimi SHEMOT alleviivaa siis nimiä. Ja miten ollakaan kiista ja sekasotku Jumalan nimistä näyttää keskittyvän juuri Exodukseen!

SHEMOT, the Hebrew name of Exodus therefore underlines the names. And anyway, the controversy and mess about God's names seems to focus on Exodus!

Mooses kysyi palavan pensaan luona hänelle ilmestyneeltä olennolta JUMALAN NIMEÄ (2. Moos. 3: 13). Mooseksen saama vastaus on kirjattu seuraavaan jakeeseen näin: ”JUMALA vastasi Moosekselle: *Minä olen se, joka minä olen*. Ja hän sanoi vielä: ’Sano heprealaisille näin: *Minä olen* lähetti minut teidän luoksenne’.”

Moses asked the creature that appeared to him at the burning bush THE NAME OF GOD (Exodus 3: 13). The answer Moses received is recorded in the next verse as follows: "GOD answered Moses: *I am that I am*. And he said again: 'Tell the Hebrews thus: *I am* sent me to you'."

HUOM! Omalla blogillani minä otan oikeuden erottaa Moosekselle vastauksena annetut nimet tähtimerkein **

NOTE! On my own blog, I have right to separate the names given in response to Moses with special signs **

*Minä olen se, joka minä olen* on hepreaksi אהיה אשר אהיה, ehjee asher ehjee

*Minä olen* on hepreaksi אהיה, ehjee (hepreassa vain yksi sana)

*I am who I am* is in Hebrew אהיה אשר אהיה, ehyeh Asher ehyeh

*I am* is in Hebrew אהיה, ehyeh (only one word in Hebrew)

Kumpaakin ilmausta kunnioitetaan Jumalan nimenä. 'Minä olen' on lauseen subjekti, mikä todistaa sen puolesta, että se on nimi, aivan samoin kuin myös ’Helinä' on nimi.

Both expressions are respected as the name of God. 'I am' is the subject of the sentence, which proves that it is a name, just as 'Helinä' is also a name.

Kun luemme Exoduksen 3. lukua eteenpäin, törmäämme jakeessa 15 heprean tekstissä nimeen יהוה (tetragrammi - Jahve/Jehova/Jahuah/Iova jne.), joka on suomennettu sanalla ”Herra". Mistä kummasta tuo sana/nimi ilmestyi?

As we read forward in Exodus 3, in verse 15 in the Hebrew text, we come across the name יהוה (the Tetragrammaton - Yahweh/Jehova/Yahuah/Iova, etc.) translated as “Lord.” Where did that word/name come from?

Sana יהוה/Herra määritellään seuraavasti:

Herra (יהוה- Jahve/Jehova jne.),

teidän isienne Jumala,

Aabrahamin Jumala,

Iisakin Jumala

ja Jaakobin Jumala (2. Moos. 3: 15).

The word יהוה/Lord is defined as:

Lord (יהוה- Yahweh/Jehovah etc.),

the God of your fathers,

God of Abraham,

The God of Isaac

and the God of Jacob (Exodus 3:15).

Mooseksen tuli siis kertoa israelilaisille:

1. Ehjee lähetti hänet (2. Moos. 3: 14)

2. Jahve, israelilaisten isien Jumala, lähetti hänet (2. Moos. 3: 15)

????????????????????????

So Moses had to tell the Israelites:

1. Ehyeh sent him (Exodus 3: 14)

2. Yahweh, the God of Israel's fathers, sent him (Exodus 3: 15)

?????????????????????????

Did Moses really write both verse 3:14 and verse 3:15 in Exodus? If he wrote verse 3: 15, did he also write verses 6: 2, 3, which say this: “And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him: I am the Lord (יהוה- Yahweh). And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac and unto Jacob by the name God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah (יהוה- Yahweh) I have not made known to them."

Genesiksen 17. luvun ensimmäisessä jakeessa sanotaan Jumalan todella esittäytyneen Aabrahamille ’Jumalana Kaikkivaltiaana’.

In the first verse of the 17th chapter of Genesis, it is said that God really appeared to Abraham as 'God Almighty'.

Jos on totta, etteivät israelilaisten isät (Aabraham, Iisak ja Jaakob) tunteneet nimeä יהוה eli Jahve /Jehova, joku ’Mooses' on tehnyt pahan virheen jakeessa 2. Moos. 3: 15.

Ellei Aabraham tuntenut Jahven/Jehovan nimeä, Jahvea ei voida kutsua Aabrahamin Jumalaksi. Sama koskee myös Iisakia ja Jaakobia.

If it is true that the fathers of the Israelites (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) did not know the name יהוה or Yahweh/Jehovah, some 'Moses' has made a bad mistake in the verse Exodus 3: 15.

If Abraham did not know the name Yahweh/Jehovah, Yahweh cannot be called the God of Abraham. The same applies to Isaac and Jacob.

Kun vertaa Exoduksen jaetta 3: 15 saman luvun jakeisiin 3: 6 ja 3: 13, herää väkisinkin mieleen hämmennys siitä, kuka on kirjoittanut ja mitä!

When comparing Exodus verse 3: 15 with verses 3: 6 and 3: 13 of the same chapter, confusion about who wrote and what comes to mind!

Jos on niin kuin Raamatun lukijoille yritetään näköjään todistella, että Jumala ilmoitti vasta Moosekselle nimen Jahve/Jehova (ja että nimi אהיה EHJEE on sama kuin יהוה Jahve/Jehova/Jahuah/Iova pienistä kirjoituseroista huolimatta), niin miksi tetragrammi esiintyy jo Genesiksessä?

If it is like they are apparently trying to prove to the readers of the Bible that God only revealed the name Yahweh/Jehovah to Moses (and that the name אהיה EHYEH is the same as יהוה Yahve/Jehovah/Yahuah/Iova despite the small spelling differences), then why does the Tetragrammaton already appear in Genesis?

No niin, Helinä, etkös nyt ymmärrä? Kas kun Mooses sai kerran tietää Jumalan nimen, hän kirjoitti sen innostuksissaan joka paikkaan, myös Genesikseen! Mutta tyhmä Helinä ei vain ymmärrä! Jos Mooses kirjoitti myös Genesiksen ja kaikki sen tetragrammit, miksi hän sitten jätti Elohistisen luomiskertomuksen täysin ilman ainuttakaan tetragrammia?

Well, Helinä, don't you understand now? When Moses once learned God's name, he wrote it everywhere in his excitement, including also Genesis! But stupid Helinä just doesn't understand! If Moses wrote even Genesis and all its Tetragrammatons, then why did he leave the Elohist creation story completely without a single Tetragrammaton?

Elohistisessa luomiskertomuksessa (1. Moos. 1: 1 - 2: 3) sana אלהים elohim (Jumala) esiintyy kaikkiaan 35 kertaa, eikä yhdenkään elohim-sanan eteen ole lisätty tetragrammia (niin kuin on enimmäkseen laita VT:n tekstissä).

In the Elohistic story of creation (Genesis 1: 1 - 2: 3), the word אלהים Elohim (God) appears a total of 35 times, and not a single word elohim is preceded by the Tetragrammaton (as is mostly the case in the OT texts).

SIIS: kuka kirjoitti Genesiksen ja ilmoitti, että tetragrammia alettiin käyttää jo Enoksen, ”epäjumalanpalvelijan", toimesta ja ihmiset huusivat Jahven/Jehovan nimeä kun luomisesta oli kulunut vasta 200-300 vuotta (1. Moos. 4: 26)? (Juutalaisissa lähteissä Enosta kutsutaan ”epäjumalanpalvelijaksi”).

SO: who wrote Genesis and announced that the Tetragrammaton was already being used by Enos, the "idolater", and people were calling out the name of Yahweh/Jehovah when only 200-300 years had passed since creation (Genesis 4: 26)? (Jewish sources refer to Enos as an "idol worshiper”).

Väkisin tulee mieleen ajatus, että tetragrammilla on yritetty yhtenäistää eri lähteiden/kirjoittajien tekstejä (Jahvisti, Elohisti, Pappiskirja ja Deuteronomium), peittää tekstien pirstaleisuutta ja luoda mielikuvaa yhdestä ja samasta kirjoittajasta. Kuka se ”Mooses" sitten lieneekin!

The thought that most comes to mind is that the Tetragrammaton has been used to unify the texts of different sources/authors (Jahwist, Elohist, Priestly Book and Deuteronomium), to cover up the fragmentation of the texts and to create an image of one and the same author. Who is that "Moses" then!

Mutta jos Mooses kirjoitti Genesiksen (1. Moos. kirja), miksi hän kirjoitti kaksi erilaista luomiskertomusta, joissa on eri tekijänimet ja erilaiset tekemistä kuvaavat heprean verbit? Mitä järkeä siinä on?

But if Moses wrote Genesis, why did he write two different narratives of creation with different author names and different Hebrew verbs describing creating/making? What's the point?

Vastaukseni Teppo Salmelan allaolevaan kommenttiin:

Isaiah, the son of Amos, served as a prophet in the kingdom of Judah during at least four kings. At the beginning of the book of Isaiah, the names of four kings are mentioned; Uzziah (790 - 739 BC), Jotham (750 - 731 BC), Ahaz (735 - 715 BC) and Hezekiah (729 - 686 BC).

En tiedä, miten tarkkaa tietoa Jesajan toimintavuosista on olemassa, mutta yleensä hänen toimikaudekseen annetaan vuodet (750 - 630 eKr.), mikä on varsin pitkä aika.

I don't know how accurate information exists about Isaiah's years of activity, but his tenure is usually given as the years (750 - 630 BC), which is quite a long time.

Kun tuota Jesajan toiminta-aikaa rinnastaa Juudan kuninkaiden hallitusaikoihin, mieleen nousee monia kysymyksiä;

1) hallitsivatko Ussia ja Jootam myös rinnakkain jonakin aikana

2) toimiko Jesaja tehtävässään vielä myös Manassen (696 - 641 eKr.) ja Aamonin (641 - 639 eKr.) aikaan

3) kuka lienee ollut ns. ”deutero-Jesaja”, jonka kirjoittamiksi sanotaan Jesajan kirjan lukuja 44 - 55

4) kuka oli ns. Trito-Jesaja, jonka tekstiksi sanotaan Jesjan kirjan lukuja 56 - 66

5) sisältyvätkö kaikkien kolmen Jesajan toimikaudet aikavälille (750 - 630 eKr.)

6) mitä Israelin joutuminen Assyrin pakkosiirtolaisuuteen (722 eKr.) on vaikuttanut Jesajan kirjan tekstiin

When comparing that period of Isaiah's activity with the reigns of the kings of Judah, many questions come to mind;

1) did Uzziah and Jotham also rule side by side in some years

2) did Isaiah still work during the time of Manasseh (696 - 641 BC) and Amon (641 - 639 BC)

3) who might have been the so-called "deutero-Isaiah", which is said to be the author of chapters 44 - 55 of the book of Isaiah

4) who was the so-called Trito-Isaiah, whose text is said to be chapters 56 - 66 of the book of Isaiah

5) are the tenures of all three Isaiahs included in the period (750 - 630 BC)

6) what effect did Israel's exile to Assyria (722 BC) have on the text of the book of Isaiah

In this article, however, I am not going to focus on any of those questions, because my attention was once miraculously drawn to Isaiah’s words in 51: 6, 7, which were opened up to me in a surprising way. Those verses, as well as the whole chapter, comforted me in that situation probably in the same way as they have comforted God's people in Isaiah's own time.

Jakeessa 51: 12 huomioni kiinnitettiin sanoihin ”Minä, minä olen teidän lohduttajanne”, hepreaksi אנכי אנכי הוא מנחמכם, anoki anoki huu menachemkem.

In verse 51:12 my attention was drawn to the words “I, I am your comforter”, in Hebrew אנכי אנכי הוא מנחמכם, anoki anoki huu menachemkem.

Sanat ”anoki huu” on käännetty Septuagintassa (LXX) kreikaksi εγω ειμι, egoo eimi. Samanlainen käännös esiintyy Septuagintassa myös 2. Moos. 3: 14:ssa, jossa Jumala esittäytyy Moosekselle nimellä ”Minä olen". Heprean Ehjee on siis kreikaksi Egoo eimi.

The words "anoki huu" are translated in the Septuagint (LXX) into Greek εγω ειμι, egoo eimi. A similar translation occurs in the Septuagint also in Exodus 3:14, where God introduces himself to Moses as ”I am". So Ehyeh in Hebrew is Egoo eimi in Greek.

Jesajan 51: 12:ssa esiintyvä Lohduttaja on siis Jumala nimeltä אהיה, Ehjee eli "Minä olen”.

The Comforter appearing in Isaiah 51: 12 is therefore God called אהיה, Ehyeh or "I am".

Vuodesta 2008 olen kirjoittanut tästä ihanan selvästä Jumalan nimestä אהיה, EHJEE, MINÄ OLEN, ja korostanut sitä toistuvasti. Samalla olen pyrkinyt todistamaan oman uskoni siihen, että אהיה, Ehjee, ei ole sama kuin יהוה Jahve/Jehova.

Since 2008, I have been writing and repeatedly emphasizing this wonderfully clear name of God, אהיה, EHYEH, I AM. At the same time, I have tried to prove my own belief that אהיה, Ehjee, is not the same as יהוה Yahweh/Jehovah.

On selvää, että olen joutunut kokemaan vastustusta. Mutta koska en ole itse osannut valita tätä tietä, olen hyökkäysiä kohdatessa yrittänyt aina turvautua siihen Voimaan, jonka koen johtaneen minut tälle Tielle. Enkä ole joutunut pettymään milloinkaan. Kiitos rakkaalle Isälle taivaissa ja Hänen voittoisalle Pojalleen Jeshualle!

It is clear that I have had to experience resistance. But since I have not been able to choose this path myself, when faced with attacks, I have always tried to rely on the Power that I feel has led me to this Path. And I have never been disappointed. Thank you dear Father in Heaven and His victorious Son Yeshua!

Jesajan 51. luku on yksi Isän minulle antamista vastauksista. Vaikka tetragrammi יהוה esiintyy tuossa Jesajan luvussa 11 kertaa, minulle avattiin muutaman sanan kautta (jakeissa 6 ja 7) näky, joka vahvistaa vakaumustani Jumalan nimestä אהיה Ehjee, ja käsitystäni siitä ajankohdasta, jolloin tetragrammia יהוה alettiin käyttää.

Isaiah 51 is one of the Father's answers to me. Although the Tetragrammaton יהוה occurs 11 times in that chapter of Isaiah, a vision was opened to me through a few words (in verses 6 and 7) that confirms my conviction of God's name אהיה Ehyeh, and my understanding of the time when the Tetragrammaton יהוה began to be used.

Jakeissa 6 ja 7 esiintyy yksi ja sama heprean sana kolme eri kertaa. Vain yhdessä kohdassa tuo sana on käännetty vastaamaan sen varsinaista merkitystä.

In verses 6 and 7, the same Hebrew word appears three different times. Only in one passage is that word translated to match its actual meaning.

Jes. 51: 6, 7 hepreaksi / Isa. 51: 6, 7 in Hebrew:

שאו לשמים עיניכם והביטו אל-הארץ מתחת כי-שמים כעשן נמלחו והארץ כבגד תבלה וישביה כמו-כן ימותון וישועתי לעולם תהיה וצדקתי לא תחת: שמעו אלי ידעי צדק עם תורתי בלבם אל-תיראו חרפת  אנוש ומגדפתם אל-תחתו

Kolmesti esiintyvä sana erottuu paksunnettuna heprean tekstissä. Kyseinen sana on תחת tachat, ja se merkitsee 1. alla/ alapuolella 2. juurella 3. sijaan  4. vuoksi

A word that occurs three times stands out in bold in the Hebrew text. The word in question is תחת tachat and it means 1. under/below 2. at the root 3. instead of 4. because of

Sana תחת tachat on käännetty jakeessa 6 ”alhaalla” kohdassa, jossa puhutaan maasta. Alhaalla olevan maan vastakohtana on ylhäällä oleva taivas, joita kumpaakin profeetta kehoittaa katsomaan ja tarkkaamaan.

The word תחת tachat is translated “below” in verse 6 when it is talking about the earth. The earth below is contrasted with the heaven above, both of which the prophet exhorts us to look at and observe.

Sana תחת tachat esiintyy toisen kerran 6. jakeen lopussa ja sitä edeltää kieltosana לא, lo, ”ei”. Heprean tekstin sanat לא תחת, lo tachat (= ei alhaalla), on suomennettu seuraavilla tavoilla: ”ei ole puuttuva” (1642/1776), ”ei kukistu” (1933), ”eikä... murene” (1922), ”eikä... kukistu” (2012).

The word תחת tachat occurs a second time at the end of verse 6 and is preceded by the prohibition word לא, lo, “not”. The words of the Hebrew text לא תחת, lo tachat (= not below), are translated in the following ways: "is not missing" (1642/1776), "does not fall" (1933), "does not crumble" (1922), " and will not... fall” (2012).

Mistä on siis kysymys? Saamme asiaan ymmärrystä heprean sanasta וישועתי, jeshuati (alleviivattu heprean tekstissä), joka on käännetty suomeksi sanoilla ”vanhurskauteni" (1642/1776 ja 2012), ”autuuteni” (1933), ”pelastukseni” (1992).  Kun heprean sanasta erotetaan alussa oleva konjunktio ja sen lopussa oleva omistuspääte (ו-ישועת-י), jäljelle jää sana ישועת (pelastus), jossa on tuttu nimi ישוע, Jeshua.

So what's the matter? We get an understanding of the matter from the Hebrew word וישועתי, jeshuati (underlined in the Hebrew text), which is translated into Finnish as "my righteousness" (1642/1776 and 2012), "my bliss" (1933), "my salvation" (1992). When separating the conjunction inthe beginning of the Hebrew word and the possessive ending (ו-ישועת-י), what remains is the word ישועת (salvation) with the familiar name ישוע, Yeshua.

Jeshua tuli ylhäältä alas (tachat), kun Hän ”alensi itsensä ja oli kuuliainen kuolemaan asti” (Fil. 2: 8/1992), mutta Hän ei jäänyt alas, eikä Hän ole enää alhaalla, sillä "Jumala on korottanut hänet yli kaiken” (Fil. 2: 9/1992).

Yeshua came down (tachat) from above when He "humbled Himself and was obedient unto death" (Phil. 2: 8/1992), but He did not remain low, and He is no longer low, for "God has exalted Him above all" (Phil. 2: 9/1992).

Heprean sana תחת esiintyy kolmannen kerran 7. jakeessa etuliitteen ja omistuspäätteen kanssa muodossa אל-תחתו, al-tachattu. Etuliite אל, al, on kieltosana, joka ilmaisee kieltoa tai toivomusta, että jotakin ei tapahdu. Sanan lopussa omistuspääte ( ו ) viittaa yksikön kolmanteen persoonaan (hän), joka edustaa suurempaa joukkoa (heitä).

The Hebrew word תחת appears a third time in verse 7 with a prefix and a possessive ending as אל-תחתו, al-tachattu. The prefix אל, al, is a prohibition word that expresses a prohibition or a wish that something not happen. At the end of a word, the possessive suffix ( ו ) refers to the third person singular (he) representing a larger group (they).

Mutta kuka on "hän", jonka mukaan kutsutaan ”heitä”? Sana אנוש (alleviivattu Heprean tekstissä) on henkilön nimi, joka esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa ensimmäisen kerran 1. Moos. 4. viimeisessä jakeessa.

But who is the "he" after whom "they" are called? The word אנוש (underlined in the Hebrew text) is the name of a person that appears in the Old Testament for the first time in the last verse of Genesis 4.

Kysymyksessä on Seetin poika, Enos, jonka aikana alettiin huutaa nimeä יהוה Jahve/Jehova. Juutalaisessa kirjallisuudessa Enosta kutsutaan epäjumalanpalvelijaksi ja epäjumalanpalveluksen aloittajaksi. Epäjumalanpalvelus on alhaalta (tachat).

The question is of Enos, the son of Seth, during which the name יהוה Yahweh/Jehova began to be called. In Jewish literature, Enos is called an idolater and the initiator of idolatry. Idolatry is from below (tachat).

Jesajan tekstissä (51: 7) tuo nimi אנוש, enosh, on käännetty sanalla ”ihmiset”, sillä Seetin poika, Enos, johti suuren ihmisjoukon epäjumalanpalveluksen tielle. Tavallisesti ”ihminen/ihmiset” on hepreaksi אדם, adam. Mutta myös nimi אנוש, enosh, esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa merkityksessä ”ihminen/ihmiset” 42 kertaa.

In the text of Isaiah (51: 7), that name אנוש, enosh, is translated by the word "people", because Enos, the son of Seth, led a large number of people to the path of idolatry. Usually ”man/men/people" is in Hebrew אדם, adam. But also the name אנוש, enosh, appears 42 times in the Old Testament meaning ”man/men/people”.

Heprean sana אנוש, enosh, on myös adjektiivi, joka merkitsee ”parantumaton/tuhoa ja turmiota tuottava”, ja sehän on alhaista (tachat).

The Hebrew word אנוש, enosh, is also an adjective that means "incorrigible/bringing destruction and ruin”, and it is low (tachat).

Jes. 51: 7:ssä enokselaisten  (Enoksen seuraajien) sanojen kerrotaan olevan ”pilkkaavia” (1642/1776), ”herjaavia” (1933), ”herjauksia” (1992/2012). Mutta taivaallisen Lohduttajan seuraajien ei tarvitse säikkyä, pelätä eikä kauhistua heidän ”alhaisia puheita” (tachat), sillä Hän suojelee omiaan aina ja kaikkialla.

In Isa. 51: 7 the words of the Enochites (followers of Enos) are said to be "mockery" (1642/1776), "blasphemous" (1933), "blasphemy" (1992/2012). But the followers of the heavenly Comforter need not be frightened, afraid or terrified of their "low talk” (tachat), for He protects His own always and everywhere.

Ikuinen Isämme, Ehjee, johtaa ylhäältä taivaasta käsin alhaalla maan päällä (tachat) eläviä lapsiaan halliten kaiken, mitä täällä tapahtuu. Jumalan Poika tuli Ihmisen Pojaksi laskeutuessaan alas (tachat) ihmisten maailmaan.

Our Eternal Father, Ehyeh, leads from heaven his children living on the earth below (tachat) controlling everything that happens here. The Son of God became the Son of Man when he descended down (tachat) into the world of men. He lived a man's life and suffered a man's death. But He overcame the power of death, rose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Down on earth (tachat) the worshipers of Yahweh, the followers of Enos, persecute and slander with ”low words” (tachat) the servants of the true God. But our Eternal Father, Ehyeh, has promised to be with his own and give them salvation in his Son Yeshua.

Ilm. 12: 7- 12:

Rev. 12: 7 - 12:

”And there was a war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast outinto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

Hes. 28: 18 * Eze. 28: 18

Tässä kirjoituksessa yritän selvittää, mitä Hes. 28: 18:ssa lukee.

In this writing I will try to find out what Ezek. 28: 18 reads.

Koko jae hepreaksi/ The entire verse in Hebrew:

מרב עוניך בעול רכלתך חללת מקדשיך ואואצא אש מתוכך היא אכלתך ואתנך לרפר על הארץ לעיני כל ראיך

Teksti-analyysi yksi sana kerrallaan selityksineen (seuraa jakeen sanoja oikealta vasemmalle):

Text analysis one word at a time with explanations (follow the words of the verse from right to left):

מאב (merob) = paljous, enimmäismäärä, maximi

                      = majority, maximum, amount

עוניך (awoneka) = väärät/pahat tekosi, syntisi; עון (awon) = väärä/paha teko, synti, ך (ka) = omistuspääte ”sinun”

your wrong/evil deeds, sin; עון (awon) = wrong/evil deed, sin, ך (ka) = possessive ending "your"

בעול (ba-ewel) = vääryydessä, epärehellisyydessä; ב (ba) = -ssa/-ssä, עול (avel/evel, vrt Engl ”evil”) = rikos, epärehellisyys

= in injustice, dishonesty; ב (ba) = in/in, עול (avel/evel, cf. Engl "evil") = crime, dishonesty

רכלתך (rekullateka) = kaupankäyntisi; רכלה (rekulla) = kaupankäynti, ך = sinun

= your trading; רכלה (rekulla) = trading, ך = yours

חללת (hillalta) = saastuit, tulit saastutetuksi

= you defiled, you became defiled

מקדשיך (miqdasheka) = pyhyydestäsi; מ on lyhenne prepositiosta מן (min) = jostakin/-sta/-stä,  קדש (qadosh) = pyhä/pyhyys, ך (ka) = ”sinun” => kadotit/menetit pyhyytesi, merkitys edellisen sanan kanssa: saastuit menettämällä pyhyytesi

= of your holiness; מ is an abbreviation of the preposition מן (min) = of something, קדש (qadosh) = holy/holiness, ך (ka) = “your” => you lost your holiness, meaning with the previous word: you became defiled by losing your holiness

-ואוצא (wa-owzi-) = ja menee ulos;  ו (wa) = ja, אוצא (owzi) = mennä ulos

= and goes out; ו (wa) = and, אוצא (owzi) = to go out

Tähän yhteyteen voisi sopia myös heprean verbi אוצ (kirjoitetaan loppu-צ:n kanssa אוץ), joka merkitsee 1. ahdistaa/hoputtaa 2. karttaa/pakoilla, johon liittyy myös prepositio מ (min) seuraavan sanan alussa, juuri niin kuin tässä kohdassa on: ואוצא-אש מתוכך (wa-owzi-esh mit-towka). Tuli siis ahdistaa sisällä ja pakenee/menee ulos.

In this context, the Hebrew verb אוצ but (אוץ written with the final-צ) could also be suitable, which means 1. to harass/haunt 2. to avoid/drive away, which is also accompanied by the preposition מ (min) at the beginning of the next word, just as in this passage : ואוצא-אש מתוכך (wa-owzi-esh mit-towka). The fire therefore oppresses inside and escapes/goes out.

Käännösohjelmassa (Bible Hub) tarjotaan tuoda-verbiä, mutta ei paljasteta verbin juurikirjaimia.
The translation program (Bible Hub) offers the verb to bring, but does not reveal the root letters of the verb.

אש (esh) = tuli; heprean tekstissä tämä sana on yhdistetty tavuviivalla edellisen sanan (wa-owzi) kanssa => tuli menee ulos

= fire; in the Hebrew text this word is hyphenated with the previous word (wa-owzi) => the fire goes out

מתוכך (mit-towka) = sinun sisältäsi; מ on lyhenne prepositiosta מן (min), joka merkitsee ”pois jostakin”, sanan lopussa ך (ka) on yksikön 2. persoonan omistuspääte ”sinun”, ja preposition ja omistuspäätteen välissä oleva sana תוכ merkitsee ”keskiosa, sisällä, sisin” => sana merkitsee siis sinun sisältäsi.

from within you; מ is an abbreviation of the preposition מן (min), which means "away from something", at the end of the word ך (ka) is the 2nd person singular possessive ending "your", and the word תוכ between the preposition and the possessive ending means "middle, inside, innermost" => so the word means from within you.

Näin ollen tuli tulee ulos Luciferista, joka turmeli pyhyytensä pahuudellaan ja epärehellisyydellään.

Thus the fire comes out of Lucifer, who corrupted her holiness with her wickedness and dishonesty.

Vuoden 1642/1776 suomalainen käännös kuuluu ”sinusta”... oikein!

The Finnish translation of 1642/1776 reads ”from you”... right!

Tämä kohta on käännetty suomeksi seuraavilla tavoilla:
”sentähden tahdon minä antaa tulen sinusta tulla” (1642/1776),
”niin minä annoin sinun keskeltäsi puhjeta tulen (1933),
”Siksi minä sytytin keskellesi tulen” (1992),
”niinpä minä annoin tulen syttyä sinun keskelläsi” (2012).
Kaikissa on lisätty sanoja, joita ei heprean tekstissä ole!

This passage has been translated into Finnish in the following ways:
"therefore I will let fire come from you" (1642/1776),
"so I let a fire break out from amongst you (1933),
"Therefore I lit a fire in your midst" (1992),
"so I let fire will light up in your midst” (2012).
All have added words that are not in the Hebrew text!

Tuli lähtee aivan yksiselitteisesti Luciferista/Saatanasta itsestään. Luonnollisesti Pahuuden ruhtinas voi tehdä maan päällä vain sen, minkä Jumala sallii, mutta sellaista mainintaa ei tässä jakeessa ole!

The fire emanates unequivocally from Lucifer/Satan himself. Naturally, the Prince of Evil can only do on earth what God allows, but there is no such mention in this verse!

Tärkeintä  on panna merkille, että Jumala ei ole osallinen tuomion tulen sytyttämiseen, sillä Hän ei riko omaa käskyä ”älä tapa”!

The most important thing to note is that God is not involved in starting the fire of judgment, for He does not break His own commandment "thou shalt not kill”!

היא (hi) = se

              = it

אכלתך (akalatka) = syö sinut; אכל (akal) = syödä, ך (ka) = sinut

= eat you; אכל (akal) = to eat, ך (ka) = you

ואתנך (wa-ettenka) Tämän sanan kääntämisessä on pieniä ongelmia.
Käännösohjelmassa (Bible Hub) tarjotaan muuttaa/kääntää-verbiä, mutta ei paljasteta verbin juurikirjaimia.

There are some small problems with the translation of this word.
The translation program (Bible Hub) offers the verb to turn, but does not reveal the root letters of the verb.

Olemme jo huomanneet, että heprean sanat on jaettava osiin. Sen teemme tällekin sanalle.
We have already found, that Hebrew words must be divided into parts. That is what we do for this word as well.

The conjunction ו (wa) = and , the possessive ending ך (ka) at the end of the word = your, the word אתנ (atten, which is written with the final n אתן) between the conjunction and the possessive ending mainly refers to the 2nd person plural pronoun "you". Wa-ettenka means "and your you", where "you" is the group that follows its leader, which in this text is called ”you". Wa-ettenka therefore means "and your group/followers”

Myös tämän jakeen suomalaisissa käännöksissä (1933, 1992, 2012) käytetyt sanat ”sinun keskeltäsi”/”keskellesi”/”sinun keskelläsi” viittavat siihen, että kysymys on ihmisjoukosta eikä pelkästään yhdestä yksilöstä. Jakeessa 28: 12 Luciferia/Saatanaa tässä luvussa edustavasta Tyyron kuninkaasta käytetään yksikön mukaista persoonapronominia אתה (atta) ”sinä”.

Also the words ”from amongst you"/"in your midst" used in the Finnish translations of this verse (1933, 1992, 2012) indicate that it is question of a group of people and not just one individual. In verse 28: 12, the singular personal pronoun אתה (atta) "you" is used for the king of Tyre, who represents Lucifer/Satan in this chapter.

לאפר (le-eper) = tuhkaksi; prepositio ל (le) = joksikin(-ksi), אפר (efer, פ = p/f) = tuhka

                         = to ashespreposition ל (le) = "to", אפר (efer, פ = p/f) = ashes

-על (al) = prepositio ”päällä”, joka on heprean tekstissä yhdistetty tavuviivalla seuraavaan sanaan

= the preposition ”upon/on", which in the Hebrew text is joined by a hyphen to the next word

הארץ (ha-arez) = maa; tavuviivalla yhdistetyt sanat merkitsevät siis ”maan päällä”

= earthwords connected with a hyphen mean "on earth”

לעיני (le-ene) = nähden; ל (le = johonkin, jonkin eteen), עיני (ene) = silmät

= in the sight/ in front ofל (le = to/before something), עיני (ene) = eyes

-כל (kal-) = kaikki; sana on yhdistetty tavuviivalla seuraavaan sanaan

= all; the word is joined by a hyphen to the next word

ראיך (roeka) = jotka sinut näkevät; ראות  (rot) = nähdä, ך (ka) = sinut

= who see you; ראות (rot) = to see, ך (ka) = you

Tässä on kaikki sana-palikat jakeeseen Hes. 28: 18. Jokainen voi itse koota niistä kokonaisen lauseen.

Here are all the word blocks for Ezekiel. 28: 18. Everyone can put together a whole sentence from them.

Minun lauseeni on seuraavanlainen: Äärimmäisellä pahuudellasi, epärehellisellä kaupankäynnilläsi sinä saastuit/saastutit itsesi menettämällä pyhyytesi. Tuli tulee/menee ulos sinun sisältäsi. Se syö sinut. Ja sinun joukkosi/seuraajasi (tulevat) tuhkaksi maan päällä kaikkien (niiden) silmien edessä, jotka sinut näkevät.

My sentence is as follows: By your extreme evilness, by your dishonest trading, you became defiled by losing your holiness. The fire comes/goes out from within you. It eats you. And your troops/followers (will be reduced) to ashes on the earth before the eyes of all (those) who see you.

Kääntämisestä yleisesti:
About translation in general:

Sanakirjojen luettelemista vaihtoehdoista eivät läheskään kaikki sanat vastaa aina kyseisen heprean sanan varsinaista merkitystä, sillä luetteloihin on otettu myös jo tehdyt käännökset.

Of the alternatives listed in the dictionaries, not nearly all words always correspond to the actual meaning of the Hebrew word in question, as translations that have already been made are also included in the lists.

Myönnän avoimesti, että käännökseni poikkeaa Bible Hub’in käännöksestä.

I openly admit that my translation differs from Bible Hub's translation.

Peto ja Saatana tulen sytyttäjinä:
The beast and Satan the kindler of the fire:

Ilmestyskirjan mukaan maasta nouseva peto saa tulen lankeamaan taivaasta (Ilm. 13: 13). Kun kerran peto osaa tuon tempun, johan itse Saatanakin sen osaa!

According to the Book of Revelation, the beast rising from the earth causes fire to fall from heaven (Rev. 13: 13). Once a beast knows that trick, even Satan himself must know how to do it!

Jumala ei lopettanut kapinoivaa Luciferia alussa, eikä Hän tee sitä lopussakaan, koska Jumala ei tapa. Pahuus tulee loppumaan omaan mahdottomuuteensa. Pahuuden Ruhtinas ajautuu häpeälliseen tappioon jopa omien joukkojensa edessä. Siitä ei ole muuta pakotietä kuin itsemurha, joka koituu myös hänen seuraajiensa tuhoksi.

God did not put an end to the rebellious Lucifer in the beginning, and He will not do it in the end, because God never kills. Evil will end in its own impossibility. The Prince of Evil is driven to shameful defeat even in front of his own people. There is no other way out of it than suicide, which will also lead to the destruction of his followers.

Lucifer-Saatana on saanut mahdollisuuden näyttää oman hallintonsa mallin kaikille Jumalan luoduille. Kapina ei tule toistumaan Jumalan luomakunnassa enää milloinkaan, sillä sen seuraukset on nähty kyllin selvästi.

Lucifer-Satan has been given the opportunity to show the model of his rule to all of God's creatures. Rebellion will never happen again in God's creation, because its consequences have been seen clearly enough.

Herra-nimet järjestykseen * Order to the Lord-names

Kun monia vuosia sitten sain tietää, että heprean Tanakissa (Vanha Testamentti) on 6828 tetragrammia (יהוה), aloin merkitä omaan hepreankieliseen Raamattuuni jokaisen löytämäni tetragrammin tietyllä värillä. Tetragrammihan יהוה on suomennettu sanalla Herra.

When I learned many years ago that there are 6828 Tetragrammatons (יהוה) in the Hebrew Tanakh (Old Testament), I started marking with a certain colour each Tetragrammaton I found in my own Hebrew Bible. Tetragrammaton יהוה is translated into Finnish as Herra (Lord).

Lukiessani sitten suomalaista vuoden 1992 raamatunkäännöstä huomioni kiinnittyi siihen, että siinä näytti olevan Herra-sanoja huomattavasti enemmän kuin niiden vastineita hepreankielisessä Raamatussa. Osa noista Herra-sanoista selittyi luonnollisesti sillä, että myös heprean Adon אדון / Adoni אדני / Adonai אדני on suomennettu sanalla Herra. Niinpä aloin merkitä kaikki Adon/Adoni/Adonai-sanat heprealaisessa Raamatussa ja niiden käännökset suomalaisessa vuoden 1992 versiossa toisella värillä kuin tetragrammit ja niiden käännökset.

Then, while reading the Finnish translation of 1992, my attention was drawn to the fact that there seemed to be significantly more Herra (Lord in engl.) words in it than the corresponding counterparts in the Hebrew Bible. Some of those Herra words were naturally explained by the fact that the Hebrew Adon אדון / Adoni אדני / Adonai אדני  is also translated as Herra. So I started marking all the Adon/Adoni/Adonai words in the Hebrew Bible and their translations in the Finnish 1992 version with a different colour than the Tetragrammatons and their translations.

In 2012, I received a freshly printed Bible translation called "Bible for the People". In its opening pages, the committee enlightens the readers as follows: "There are no vowels in the Hebrew. Thus, the most common name of God is hidden in the Tetragrammaton YHWH. In translations, it is usually translated as Herra. However, we have tried to bring out the Tetragrammaton in such a way that the word HERRA is printed in capital letters...” (YHWH comes from the Hebrew consonants of the Tetragrammaton יהוה)

Kuitenkin tutkiessani erästä tiettyä teemaa huomasin poikkeuksia tuosta toimikunnan periaatteesta. Siksi aloin merkitä kaikki herra-sanat myös vuoden 2012 versioon. Samalla kaikki muutkin Jumalasta käytetyt nimitykset saivat kukin oman värinsä.

However, while researching a certain topic, I happened to notice exceptions to that committee's principle. Therefore I started to mark all Herra-words even in the 2012 version. At the same time, all other names used for God also got their own colour.

Minulla on siis kolme ’värikirjaa’; hepreankielinen Raamattu, suomalainen vuoden 1992 käännös ja Raamattu kansalle-käännös (2012). Kuluneella viikolla tein yhteenvedon kaikista merkinnöistäni.

So I have three 'coloring books'; the Hebrew Bible, the Finnish translation of 1992 and the Bible for the People (2010). Last week I summarised all my entries.

Yhteenvedossani ovat mukana kaikki löytämäni poikkeamat koskien Jumalasta käytettyjä nimityksiä.  Olen siis verrannut kahta suomalaista käännöstä heprean tekstiin. Herra-nimien lisäksi olen huomioinut myös nimet אלהים Elohim ja צבאות Sebaot. Mutta valtaosa merkinnöistä koskee poikkeamia, jotka on käännetty tai jätetty kääntämättä Adon/Adoni/Adonai-sanoista ja tetragrammista.

My summary includes all the deviations I found regarding the names used for God. So I have compared the two Finnish translations with the Hebrew text. In addition to Herra-names, I have also taken into account the names אלהים Elohim and צבאות Zebaoth. But the vast majority of entries concern deviations translated from, or left untranslated from, the words of Adon/Adoni/Adonai and the Tetragrammaton.

Poikkeamia löytyy puoleen ja toiseen. Molemmissa suomalaisissa käännöksissä (1992 ja 2012) on jakeita, joissa lukee Herra tai HERRA, vaikka heprean tekstissä ei ole Adon/Adoni/Adonai-vastinetta eikä tetragrammia. Kaikki sellaiset tekstit on merkitty plussalla (+), koska ne ovat lisäyksiä.

Deviations include both additions and subtractions. Both Finnish translations (1992 and 2012) have verses that read Herra or HERRA, although the Hebrew text does not have an Adon/Adoni/Adonai nor the Tetragrammaton. All such texts are marked with a plus (+) because they are additions.

Molemmissa käännöksissä on myös jakeita, joista puuttuu vastine sekä Adon/Adoni/Adonai-sanalle että tetragrammille. Tällaiset tekstit on merkitty miinuksella (-) puuttuvien vastineiden johdosta.

Both versions also have verses that lack the equivalent of both the word Adon/Adoni/Adonai and the Tetragrammaton. Such texts are marked with a minus (-) due to missing counterparts.

En voi mennä vannomaan, että olen löytänyt jokaisen poikkeaman (silmät alkoivat jo harittaa), mutta eiköhän nämä löydökset kelpaa jonkinlaiseksi näytöksi.

I can't swear that I've found every deviation (my eyes began to strain), but here is some kind of display.

Vuoden 1992 käännöksessä Hesekielin kirjan kohdalla huomio kiinnittyy merkintöjen poikkeuksellisen suureen määrään. Hesekielin kirjassa toistetaan tiuhasti heprean sanoja אדני יהוה (lue oikealta vasemmalle) Adonai Jahve, jotka on käännetty vanhimmissa suomalaisissa Raamatuissa (1542, 1776, 1933/38) ’Herra Herra’, ja Raamattu kansalle -käännöksessä Herra HERRA, mutta 1992-käännöksessä lukee ”Herra Jumala”. Vuoden 1992 versiossa tetragrammi on siis vaihdettu sanaan ’Jumala’. Hepreassa Jumala-sanan vastineita ovat אלהים Elohim, אל El ja אלוה Eloah, eikä niistä yksikään esiinny vastaavissa jakeissa heprean tekstissä. Sana Jumala on lisätty, kun taas tetragrammin vastine (Herra) puuttuu.

In the version of 1992 attention is drawn to the large number of entries in the book of Ezekiel. The very repetitive Hebrew words אדני יהוה (read from right to left) Adonai Yahwe are translated in the oldest Finnish Bibles (1542, 1776, 1933/38) as ”Herra Herra” and in the version of 2012 as ”Herra HERRA" but in the version of 1992, the Tetragrammaton has been changed to the word 'God'. In Hebrew, the equivalents of the word God are אלהים Elohim, אל El, and אלוה Eloah, none of which appear in the Hebrew text. The word God is an addition, while the Tetragrammaton (Herra - Lord) is missing.

Mikä lienee ollut raamatunkäännös-toimikunnan (1992) päämäärä ja tarkoitus?

What must have been the aim and purpose of the Bible translation commission (1992)?

Tuossa samassa käännöksessä on myös seitsemän tekstiä ( 2. Moos. 3: 15, 6: 2; 6: 3; 15: 3; 33: 19; 34: 5; Jes. 42: 8), joissa ’Herra’ on vaihdettu nimeen ’Jahve’ tai ne molemmat on kirjoitettu peräkkäin. Mainituista seitsemästä jakeesta kahdessa ensimmäisessä ja viimeisessä lukee joko ”Jahve, Herra” tai ”Herra, Jahve”, vaikka heprean tekstissä on AINOASTAAN YKSI tetragrammi.

There are also seven texts in that same translation (Exodus 3: 15, 6: 2; 6: 3; 15: 3; 33: 19; 34: 5; Isa. 42: 8 ), where Herra (Lord) has been changed to Jahve (Yahweh) or both have been written consecutively. Of the seven verses mentioned, the first two and the last read either "Yahweh, Lord" or "Lord, Yahweh", even though there is ONLY ONE Tetragrammaton in the Hebrew text.

MUTTA: on hyvä tietää ja muistaa heprean Adon/Adoni/Adonai-sanan merkitykset!

BUT: it is good to know and remember the meanings of the Hebrew word Adon/Adoni/Adonai!

Ihmisestä/ihmiselle puhuttaessa käytetään muotoja אדון adon (herra) ja אדני adoni (herrani), ja kysymyksessä on silloin YKSIKKÖMUOTO. Nämä herrat eivät sisälly listaani.

When talking of or to a person, the forms אדון adon (lord) and אדני adoni (my lord) are used, and the form is then SINGULAR. These lords are not included in my list.

Jumalasta/Jumalalle puhuttaessa käytetään muotoa אדני adonai, joka on MONIKKOMUOTO ”HERRAT”. Tämä monikkomuoto eroaa yksikön muodosta ”Herrani" אדני ainoastaan vokaalien puolesta, mikä ei ilmene mitenkään konsonantti-kirjoituksessa.

When speaking of/to God, the form אדני Adonai is used, which is PLURAL meaning ”HERRAT”, (LORDS). Only vowels make difference in this plural form when comparing it to the singular form Herrani אדני Adoni (my Lord), but it does not appear at all in the consonant writing.

SIIS: Jumalan kohdalla אדני Adonai merkitsee ”Herrat/Monet Herrat". Sanat אדני יהוה (lue oikealta vasemalle) Adonai Jahve vihjaavat siis, että Jahvessa on useita Herroja. Mutta kuinka monta Herraa?

SO: When we are speaking to/of God  אדני Adonai means ”Lords/Many Lords". Therefore the words אדני יהוה (read from right to left) Adonai Yahweh hint that there are many Lords in Yahweh. But how many Lords?

Monikkomuotoa käytetään hepreassa, kun lukumäärä on kolmesta (3) äärettömään (kahdesta käytetään duaalia). Sanat אדני יהוה Adonai Jahve pitävät sisällään siis vähintäin kolminaisuuden (kolme Herraa/Jumalaa), mutta se sisältää myös ns. Laajennetun Jumalan nimen (Shem ha-Mephorash), jossa on 72 lisänimeä. MUTTA mitä muuta?

In Hebrew, the plural form is used when the number is from three (3) to infinity (dual is used of two). The words אדני יהוה Adonai Yahweh thus contain at least the Trinity (three Lords/Gods), but it includes also the so-called  Expanded Name of God (Shem ha-Mephorash) with 72 additional names. BUT what else?

Vuoden 2012 käännöstä lukiessa tulee kummallinen olo, kun tetragrammista käännettyjen HERRA-sanojen väliin on lisätty Herra-sanoja, joilla ei ole vastineena heprean Adon/Adoni/Adonai-sanaa! Mikä Herra lienee silloin kysymyksessä?

When reading the 2012 translation, one gets a strange feeling when between the HERRA-words translated from the Tetragrammaton have been added the Lord-words, which do not have the equivalent of the Hebrew word Adon/Adoni/Adonai! What Lord might be in question then?

Tavalliselle kansalle on opetettu kautta aikain, että "Jumalan nimi on salattu". TODELLAKO? Jumala itse on ilmoittanut itsensä kyllin selvästi! Sentähden Jumalan opastuksella voimme tietää, missä ja milloin meille valehdellaan tai puhutaan sivistyneesti akateemisesta sopimuksesta liittyen Jumalan nimeen.

The common people have been taught throughout the ages that "God's name is hidden.” REALLY? God himself has revealed himself clearly enough! Therefore with God's guidance we can know where and when we are being lied to or spoken to in a civilised manner about the academic agreement regarding the name of God.

My summary also shows several additional ’God' words (20) in the book of Job, for which there are no equivalents in Hebrew. The Hebrew word used for God in the book of Job is almost invariably אל El, and it appears 50 times by my calculations. In addition אלוח Eloach meaning God appears 40 times and שדי Shaddai meaning Almighty 31 times. When looking at the book as a whole, attention is drawn to the fact that the Tetragrammatons (32) are placed at the beginning and end of the book. This inevitably leads to an idea that at some point a Yahwistic beginning and end were made to Job’s book. But what is the purpose of the 20 added God words?

Onneksi Jumala, hyvä Isämme taivaassa, tietää totuuden kaikesta! Kunnia Isälle ja Pojalle iankaikkisesta iankaikkiseen!

Fortunately, God, our good Father in heaven, knows the truth about everything! Glory to the Father and the Son forever and ever!

Rukouksesta * About prayer

Juuri ennen kuin Jeshua opetti Isä meidän-rukouksen, Hän paljasti, että taivaallinen Isämme tietää tarpeemme jo ennen kuin pyydämmekään mitään. Miksi sitten pitäisi rukoilla? Ja mitä meidän tulisi rukoilla?

Right before Yeshua taught Our Father’s Prayer, He revealed that our heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask anything. So why should we pray? And what should we pray?

Jeshuan opettamaa rukousta kutsutaan englanniksi nimellä "the Lord’s prayer". Englannin sanalla ”Lord”  korvataan tetragrammi, יהוה, samoin kuin suomen sanalla”Herra”. Kuitenkaan Jeshua ei kutsunut Isää  eikä itseään milloinkaan tuolla nimellä.  Siksi minä haluan kutsua tuota Jeshuan opettamaa rukousta myös englanniksi nimellä ”Isä meidän-rukous”.

The prayer Yeshua taught us is called "the Lord's prayer” in English. The English word "Lord" replaces the Tetragrammaton, יהוה, as does the Finnish word ”Herra”However, Yeshua never called the Father or himself by that name. Therefore I call the prayer Yeshua taught us even in English Our Father's Prayer.

Isä meidän-rukous on hyvä malli rukouksesta ja tärkeä opetus rukoilemisesta. Tuskin Jeshua kuitenkaan tarkoitti, että tuo rukous pitää lukea ulkoa sanasta sanaan ja aina samalla tavalla. Tähän viittaa jo se seikka, että Matteus (Matt. 6: 9 - 13) ja Luukas (Luuk. 11: 2 - 4) tallensivat saman rukouksen hiukan eri sanoin.

Our Father's Prayer is a good example of prayer and an important lesson on praying. However, it is unlikely that Yeshua meant that we should repeat that prayer word for word and always in the same way. This is already indicated by the fact that Matthew (Matthew 6: 9 - 13) and Luke (Luke 11: 2 - 4) recorded the same prayer with slightly different words.

Rukouksen ajatusten ymmärtäminen ja niiden sisäistäminen lienee kaikkein tärkeintä. Isä meidän-rukousta ei ole pituudella pilattu. Siinä on kolme selkeää osaa, jotka on helppo muistaa: 1. kunnian Isälle 2. maallinen elämämme 3. hengellinen elämämme.

Understanding the thoughts of the prayer and internalizing them is probably the most important thing. Our Father's prayer is not too long. It has three clear parts that are easy to remember 1. glory to the Father 2. our temporal life 3. our spiritual life.

Kuolevaisen ihmisen on tarpeellista oppia kuuntelemaan rukouksessa Isän ääntä.

”Pyhitetty olkoon sinun nimesi”, eli olkoon sinun nimesi erotettu omaan käyttöösi. Heprean sana קדוש qadosh merkitsee ”pyhä/Jumalan käyttöön erotettu”.

Meidän ei ole tarpeellista tietää Jumalan nimeä tässä ajassa ja täällä Saatanan hallinnoimassa maailmassa, koska Jeshua ei sitä meille kertonut, mutta Hän puhui Jumalasta aina nimellä ”ISÄ”.

”Tulkoon sinun valtakuntasi...” hepreaksi תבא מלכותך tavo malkuteka, ja malkuteka merkitsee ”(sinun) kuningaskuntaa”. Isämme valtakunnassa on siin kuningas, ja Hän on kuningasten Kuningas, Jeshua, Isän Voideltu.

Näillä sanoilla annamme kunnian Isälle ja Pojalle taivaallisesta pelastusoperaatiosta, jonka he toteuttavat yhdessä.

1. Glory to the Father:

”Our Father...” Yeshua taught us to think of Heavenly Father as our common Father. So private prayer also connects each person who prays to the great universal family of the Father.

”which art in heaven...” So our Father is the Father of all men, but beyond that He is the Father of all creatures and the Father of all worlds. He is in the “heavens” (dual in Hebrew), all of which are his creations, even though we do not know them yet.

The Father's eternal being (אהיה Ehyeh, I Am) everywhere at once is beyond human understanding. That's why being silent and stilling in front of Him is probably the wisest way to pray. It would be necessary for a mortal man to learn to listen to the Father's voice in a prayer.

”Hallowed be thy name... that is, let your name be set apart for your own use. The Hebrew word קדוש qadosh means ”holy/separated for God's use.”

We don’t need  to know the name of God in this time and here in the world administered by Satan, because Yeshua did not tell us his name, but He always spoke of God as "FATHER”.

”Thy kingdom come...” in Hebrew תבא מלכותך tavo malkuteka, and malkuteka means "(your) kingdom". In our Father's kingdom there is a king, and He is the King of kings, Yeshua, the Anointed One of the Father.

With these words we give glory to the Father and the Son for the heavenly rescue operation which they carry out together. The Son became man, suffered death for us, rose Victorious from the dead and returned to the Father in heaven, from where we now await him back to take his followers to heavenly dwellings. God's judgment ends Satan's reign, after which the Father's Kingdom will be fully realised.

”Thy will be done in earth...” It is clear that as long as Satan is the ruler of this Earth, God's will will be continually violated here on Tellus. But when the last judgment has taken place, and when God's New Jerusalem comes down from heaven with the saints, and when the Earth is created anew, after that and from then on, God's will will be able to happen perfectly also on Earth "as it is in heavens”... in God's heaven and unfallen worlds.

2. Maallinen elämämme:

Yleensä meidän rukoukset sisältävät pitkän listan pyyntöjä koskien tätä aikaa ja maallista elämäämme. Mutta Isä meidän -rukouksessa on ainoastaan kaksi pyyntöä. Ensimmäinen niistä koskee ajallista elämää, ja sen välttämätöntä perustarvetta, ravintoa. ”Päivittäinen leipä” merkitsee kohtuullista määrää ruokaa päivittäin.

Useimmilla meistä on leipää yllin kyllin, yli oman tarpeen.

2. Our temporal life:

Usually our prayers contain a long list of requests regarding this time and our earthly life. But there are only two requests in Our Father's Prayer. The first of them concerns temporal life, and its essential basic need, food. "Daily bread" means a reasonable amount of food every day.

Most of us have plenty of bread, more than we need. The miracles performed by Yeshua, when he fed thousands of people with minimal food, teach us about sharing with people living in the midst of abundance and thereby getting rich from the heavenly blessing. Even a small piece of shared bread produces a multiple blessing. Heavenly blessing multiplies our small gifts that we give to the hungry and suffering.

This section of the prayer includes the inner request: Our Father in heaven, remove from our hearts selfishness, greed, hardness and indifference. Teach us to notice those in need and distress and to help them.

Me olemme velassa Isälle, koska Jeshua on maksanut lunastusmaksun meistä, jotka olemme syntiemme tähden kuoleman omat. Me emme voi lunastaa itseämme vapaiksi kuolemasta millään rahamäärällä, mutta syntien tunnustaminen on rahaakin arvokkaampaa valuuttaa Isän edessä.

Mutta sellainen tulkinta, että Jumala, Isämme, saattaisi tai johtaisi meidät kiusaukseen ei ole mitenkään sopusoinnussa Jeshuan opetuksen kanssa!

Isän pyhä tahto on, että myös hänen lapsensa pyhittyvät (1. Tess. 4: 3, 7; 2. Tess. 2: 13), ja vain puhdassydämiset saavat nähdä Jumalan (Matt. 5: 8). Näin ollen on mahdotonta että ”Isä johtaisi meidät kiusaukseen”.

Isä lähetti Poikansa pelastamaan/lunastamaan meidät pahasta ja varjelemaan meidät pahalta... varjelemaan meidät itse Pahuudenruhtinaalta.

Näin ollen viimeinen pyyntö hengellistä elämäämme koskien kuuluu: varjele meitä joutumasta kiusaukseen ja päästä meidät pahasta

Jokaista ihmistä ”kiusaa hänen oma himonsa” (Jaak. 1: 14, 15). Siksi on syytä pyytää Isältä varjelusta hänen Poikansa, Jeshuan, nimessä.

3. Our spiritual life:

”And forgive us our debts... The biggest pain point in every person's spiritual life is sin, which separates us from the Father. But the Father has loved us first, for He has sent his Son into the world to live as a man according to his sacred will perfectly and to die for our sins.

However, the caring love of the Father does not benefit us in any way, unless we bow before the Father to confess our own debt, that is, unless we are able to confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. Anyone who confesses and forsakes his sins will receive mercy (Prov. 28: 13).

The Father's blessings have been prepared before the foundation of the world, and they have been ready before we were even born. So we don't need to beg for the Father's blessings and cry to him to look on us, because He has already done it (1 John 5: 9, 10). Our task is to open our ears to hear God's voice and prepare ourselves to receive his blessings.

As we forgive our debtors...”  When God has loved us abundantly, we too are obliged to love one another, and to forgive one another (1 John 5:11). However, our forgiveness of our neighbours is not any model or yardstick according to which the Father would forgive us, but totally the opposite.

Matthew's model has the words כאשר מחלנו גמ אנחנו ka-asher machalnu gam-anachenu, as we also forgive, and in Luke's model כאשר ka-asher ’as’ has changed to the word כי kii meaning for.

But כי kii is a particle that can be translated in many ways, one of which is "that", which sounds like the best option in this context. -> Forgive us our debts/sins, that we may also forgive our debtors.

We are in debt to the Father because Yeshua has paid the ransom for us who are subject to death because of our sins. We cannot redeem ourselves from death with any amount of money, but the confession of sins is a currency more valuable than money before the Father.

But such an interpretation that God, our Father, would tempt us or lead us into temptation is in no way in accordance with Yeshua's teaching!

The holy will of the Father is that his children are also sanctified (1. Thess. 4: 3, 7; 2. Thess. 2: 13), and only the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5: 8). Therefore, it is impossible for "the Father to lead us into temptation".

The Father sent His Son to save/redeem us from evil and to keep us from evil... to keep us from the Prince of Evil himself.

Thus, the last request regarding our spiritual life is: keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil.

Each person is "tempted by his own lust" (James 1: 14, 15). That is why it is necessary to ask the Father for protection in the name of his Son, Yeshua.

Isä meidän-rukouksen loppu:

Rukouksen lopussa olevat sanat Jumalan ikuisesta valtakunnasta, hänen voimasta ja hänelle kuuluvasta kunniasta muodostavat todennäköisesti myöhemmin kirjoitetun lisäyksen. Mutta onhan Jumalan valtakunta nähtävissä jo nyt hänen omissaan ja tunnistettavissa siinä voimassa, jota Hän omilleen jakaa.

Siksi kunnia kuuluu Isälle ja Pojalle לעולמי עולמים, le-oolmei oolamim, iankaikkisesta iankaikkseen!

The end of Our Father’s Prayer:

The words at the end of the prayer about God's eternal kingdom, his power and his glory are probably a later addition. But God's kingdom can already be seen in his own and recognisable in the power that He distributes to his own.

Therefore, the glory belongs to the Father and the Son לעולמי אולמים, le-oolmei oolamim, from everlasting to everlasting!

5: 44; Luuk. 6: 28) sekä työmiehet, joita tarvitaan Jumalan elonkorjuuseen (Matt. 9: 38; Luuk. 10: 2). Näiden rukousaiheiden kautta Jeshua tahtoo opettaa meitä (Luuk. 11: 1) ja vahvistaa uskoamme (Luuk. 22: 32).

Maailman houkutukset varastavat jatkuvasti huomiomme ja sekoittavat keskittymistämme Jumalan valtakunnan asiaan. Oppikaamme valvomaan väsymättöminä rukouksessa (Luuk. 18: 1; 21: 36).

General information about praying:

It is amazing that Our Father's Prayer contains absolutely everything a person needs. The Father knows what is best for everyone, and so we can include in the words "Thy will be done" anything we need or want, and then wait for his will to be done.

Complying with the Father's will is not always self-evident or easy, but still bending to it calms the restless human mind. Being calm and confident, we also avoid using useless and empty words (Matthew 6: 7, 8).

The position of prayer and the moment of prayer do not matter before the Father, because He looks into the heart of the person praying. Falling on our faces, bowing or standing, resting or working, in the sanctuary or in nature, in the midst of people or in a lonely place, in a group or alone, in a public place or in one's own chamber, we can at any time establish a prayer connection with the Father, whose reception has no limits. The most important thing is to quiet down to hear his speech and learn to understand his will.

Since the Father is Spirit (John 4: 24) and the Son is Truth (John 14: 6), Yeshua taught to pray "in spirit and in truth" (John 4: 23, 24). The Father hears the prayer in the name of his Son, Yeshua (John 14: 13).

As special subjects of prayer Yeshua mentioned people who persecute us or our enemies (Matthew 5: 44; Luke 6: 28) and workers, who are needed in God's harvest (Matthew 9: 38; Luke 10: 2). Through these prayer topics, Yeshua wants to teach us (Luk. 11: 1) and strengthen our faith (Luk. 22: 32).

The temptations of the world constantly steal our attention and confuse our focus on the things of God's kingdom. Let us learn to watch tirelessly in prayer (Luke 18: 1; 21: 36).

Viimeiset päivät * The last days

’Viimeisiä päiviä’ tarkoittava heprankielinen sanapari באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa 13 kertaa. Tekstit näkyvät edellä olevassa taulukossa.

The Hebrew word pair באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim, meaning 'last days', appears 13 times in the Old Testament. The texts are shown in the table above.

Nämä heprean sanat on käännetty Septuagintassa (LXX, Vanha Testamentti kreikaksi) yhtä jaetta lukuunottamatta (Jer. 48: 47, joka puuttuu kokonaan) muodossa: επεσχατων των ημεπων. Kreikan εσχατως, eskatos, merkitsee ’viimeinen, äärimmäinen’, ja ημερα, eemera, merkitsee ’päivä, vuorokausi’.

These Hebrew words are translated in the Septuagint (LXX, Old Testament in Greek) with the exception of one verse (Jer. 48: 47, which is completely missing) as: επεσχατων των ημεπων. The Greek εσχατως, eskatos, means 'last, extreme', and ημερα, emera, means 'day, day and night'.

Uudessa Testamentissa on puolestaan kuusi jaetta, joissa esiintyy kreikaksi tuo sama sanapari kuin Septuagintassa. Kts. seuraava kuva.

In the New Testament, on the other hand, there are six verses in which the same Greek word pair appears as in Septuagint. See the next picture.

Puolestaan Franz Delitzsch (1813 - 1890), joka on kääntänyt Uuden Testamentin hepreaksi, on käyttänyt käännöksessään noissa kuudessa Uuden Testamentin jakeessa juuri samaa heprean sanaparia באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim, joka esiintyy 13 kertaa Vanhassa Testamentissa (Tanakissa).

For his part, Franz Delitzsch (1813 - 1890), who has translated the New Testament into Hebrew, has used in his translation in those six verses of the New Testament exactly the same pair of Hebrew words באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim, which appears 13 times in the Old Testament (Tanak).

13 heprean jaetta Vanhassa Testamentissa ja 6 kreikan jaetta Uudessa Testamentissa tuntuvat merkittäviltä, kun niissä on täsmälleen sama ilmaisu koskien ’viimeisiä päiviä, lopun aikoja’.

13 Hebrew verses in the Old Testament and 6 Greek verses in the New Testament seem significant when they contain exactly the same expression regarding 'the last days, the end times'.

Mutta koskevatko nuo kaikki 19 jaetta MAAILMAN LOPPUA? Se selviää ainoastaan tutkimalla, jokaista jaetta erikseen ja kutakin sen omassa asiayhteydessä!

But are those 19 verses all about THE END OF THE WORLD? It can only be found out by studying each verse separately and each one in its own context!

📖 1. Moos. 49: 1:

📖 Gen. 49: 1:

A verse that begins a whole chapter cannot be torn out of the whole, nor can any other verse in the Bible. The 49th chapter of Genesis contains Jacob's words of blessing to his sons. Since Jacob and his sons have have died long ago, one must carefully consider what the words באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim, the last days’, mean in this verse. Do these words in any way refer to the end of the world?

From the first table, we can see that this text is translated to refer to 'future times, future days' both in the oldest Finnish translation (1462/1776) and the 1992 translation, as well as in the German and Swedish translations.

In the New Testament, the saying 'in the last days' is used when writing about Yeshua's time, meaning the time He was born on earth. Jacob's prophecy to Judah reaches up to Yeshua (49: 10). Thus, there are grounds for the fact that the translation 'in the last days' is also used in the verse (49: 1).

Since there is no clear information about the 12 tribes of Israel today, it is impossible and very misleading to begin to spiritualize the text and apply the entire 49th chapter to the end of the world.

📖 4. Moos. 24:14:

Tämän tekstin yhteydessä kohtaamme Mooabin kuninkaan, Baalakin, ja hänen avukseen kutsuman profeetan nimeltä Bileam (kertomus alkaa jo luvusta 22). Baalakin toistuvista pyynnöistä huolimatta Bileam ei suostunut kiroamaan Israelia, vaan päin vastoin Bileam antoi sille siunauksen. Ennen poistumistaan Baalakin luota Bileam lausui yhden Vanhan Testamentin tärkeimmistä Messias-ennustuksista, joka on kirjoitettu jakeeseen 4. Moos. 24: 17.

Bileamin ennustus koskee Jeshuan syntymää, jonka yhteydessä Itämaan viisaat miehet seurasivat taivaalle ilmestynyttä tähteä, jonka he tulkitsivat merkiksi uuden Kuninkaan syntymisestä. Näin ollen tämäkin teksti ja sen hepreankieliset sanat באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim viittaavat maailman viimeisten aikojen alkamiseen Jeshuan syntymän hetkellä.

📖 Num. 24: 14:

In connection with this text, we meet the king of Moab, Balak, and a prophet named Balaam whom he called to help (the story already begins in chapter 22). Despite Balak's repeated requests, Balaam did not agree to curse Israel, but on the contrary, Balaam gave them a blessing. Before leaving Balak, Balaam recited one of the most important Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament, written in Numbers 24:17.

Balaam's prophecy concerns the birth of Yeshua, in connection with which the wise men of the East followed a star that appeared in the sky, which they interpreted as a sign of the birth of a new King. Thus, this text and its Hebrew words באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim refer to the beginning of the end times of the world at the time of Yeshua's birth.

📖 5. Moos. 4: 30:

📖 Deut. 4: 30:

At the beginning of the fourth chapter, it is told how God gave the law as Israel's most precious possession and warned the people not acting against its principles. But Moses knew the people and how they were stubborn and disobedient, and therefore he also foretold the punishment that would befall Israel, which was exile in a foreign land. But Moses even foresaw that the people would learn ’eventually' through those trials. Seen from Sinai, those days of tribulation facing Israel were still far in the future. Forced migration befell both Israel and Judah in the 'last days' of their last kings.

In this text, the 'last days' refer to the time when Israel finally wholeheartedly accepted the law God gave them.

📖 5. Moos. 31: 29:

📖 Deut. 31: 29:

This verse relates to the same subject as the previous verse. Moses repeated the warning words of judgment to the people of Israel one more time before Joshua took his place as the leader. Under the leadership of Joshua, Israel arrived in the promised land. There they were led first by judges and then by kings. However, the people's life was turning from right to left, because God's way did not please them. Therefore, the days of trial and judgment befell them in the 'last days' of grace.

📖 Isa. 2: 2 and Micah 4: 1:

In this verse, the Hebrew words באחרית הימים beAcharit haJamim most obviously refer to the end of this world.

The time when the 'temple mount' or Mount Zion is higher than all other mountains is not our time... this day. But it is said that it once happened immediately after creation. Earthquakes etc. have caused changes in the earth's crust in that area as well, and Mount Zion is no longer the highest of all mountains.

But according to the Book of Revelation, we can expect that it will be so in the day when the heavenly New Jerusalem descends on earth. According to Zechariah 14: 4, the Mount of Olives will be split wide as the bottom of that city, but that city alone (Rev. 21: 16, 17) and especially its height will overcome even the highest mountains on this planet.

📖 Jer. 23: 20 ja 30: 24:

Juudan kuningaskunnassa profeettana toiminut Jeremia (627 - 586) kirjoitti viimeisiä varoituksen sanoja juuri ennen Juudan joutumista Babyloniin. Tottelematon Juudan kansa kohtasi rangaistuksensa, samoin kuin Israelille oli jo käynyt. Mutta koettelemuksen myötä 'vielä tulisi aika', jolloin kansa lopulta ymmärtäisi syyn ja seurauksen... tottelemattomuuden ja rangaistuksen välisen suhteen.

Jeremia ennusti Juudan pakkosiirtolaisuuden kestävän 70 vuotta (Jer. 25: 11, 12; 29: 10). Pakkosiirtolaisuuden päätyttyä Nehemia luki kansalle lain sanat (Neh. 8. luku), ja kansa katui tottelemattomuuttaan ja tunnusti syntinsä (Neh. 9. luku), ja etsi Jumalaansa.

📖 Jer. 23: 20 and 30: 24:

Jeremiah (627 - 586), who acted as a prophet in the Kingdom of Judah, wrote the last words of warning just before Judah was taken to Babylon. The disobedient nation of Judah faced its punishment, just as it had already happened to Israel. But with the tribulation 'there would yet come a time' when the people finally would understand cause and effect... the relationship between disobedience and punishment.

Jeremiah foretold that Judah's exile would last 70 years (Jer. 25: 11, 12; 29: 10). After the forced migration ended, Nehemiah read the words of the law to the people (Neh. chapter 8), and the people repented of their disobedience and confessed their sins (Neh. chapter 9), and sought their God.

📖 Jer. 48: 47 ja 49: 39:

Jeremia ennusti myös Mooabin ja Eelamin kohtaloista. Tämän nimisiä kansoja me emme tunne nykypäivänä. Siksi on selvää, että heprean sanat באחרית הימים be-Acharit ha-Jamim koskevat noiden kansojen viimeisiä aikoja, jotka ovat jo olleet ennen meidän aikaamme.

📖 Jer. 48: 47 and 49: 39:

Jeremiah also prophesied about the fates of Moab and Elam. We don't know peoples with these names today. Therefore, it is clear that the Hebrew words באחרית הימים be-Acharit ha-Jamim refer to the last times of those nations that have already existed before our time.

📖 Hes. 38: 16:

Tämä jae koskee selvästi maailman loppua! Googista puhutaan Hes. 38: 14 - 39: 29 ja myös Ilm. 20: 8:ssa.

📖 Eze. 38: 16:

This verse is definitely about the end of the world! Gog is also spoken of in Eze. 38: 14 - 39: 29 and also in Revelation 20:8.

📖 Dan. 10: 14:

Danielin kirjassa esitetyt näkysarjat yltävät Danielin päivistä Messiaan päiviin ja vielä siitäkin eteenpäin  aina maailman loppuun saakka. Silloin taivaan Jumala on pystyttävä valtakunnan, joka ei ikinä tuhoudu, eikä sitä valtakuntaa anneta toiselle kansalle. Se murskaa lopullisesti kaikki muut valtakunnat, ja se pysyy ikuisesti (Dan. 2: 44).

📖 Dan. 10: 14:

The series of visions presented in the book of Daniel reach from the days of Daniel to the days of the Messiah and even beyond until the end of the world. Then the God of heaven must set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be given to another nation. It will crush all other kingdoms once and for all, and it will stand forever (Dan. 2: 44).

📖 Hoos. 3: 5:

Kysymyksessä on pakkosiirtolaisuuden aika, jonka päättyessä kansa kääntyi Nehemian johdolla etsimään uudelleen Jumalaansa.

📖 Hos. 3: 5:

This verse is very fondly interpreted today, and equated with modern Israel. However, Hosea has clearly stated which time and period he is writing about when he speaks about 'the last days'. Let's read the previous verse (Hosea 3: 4)!

So it is a question of a period when the Israelites have no king or prince, no sacrifice or object of worship (statue), no priest wearing a cassock, and no household god. There is no mistaking that period because it is so clearly defined. In question is the period of forced exile, at the end of which the people, led by Nehemiah, turned to seek their God again.

📖 Ap.t. 2: 17:

Tämän jakeen ennustus toteutui kertaalleen helluntaina. Mutta Jooelin ennustuksen (Jooel. 3: 1 - 5) mukaan voimme odottaa sen toteutuvan vielä toisen kerran ennen Ihmisen Pojan paluuta taivaan pilvissä.

📖 Acts 2: 17:

The prophecy of this verse was fulfilled once at Pentecost. But according to Joel's prophecy (Joel. 3: 1 - 5), we can expect it to come true a second time before the return of the Son of Man in the clouds of heaven.

📖 2. Tim. 3: 1 ja 2. Piet. 3: 3 ja Juuda 18:

Nämä jakeet lohduttavat meitä, sillä näiden perusteella tiedämme elävämme maailman viimeisiä päiviä. Maailmaa koetteleva ahdinko ja pilkkaajien valtavat joukot ovat siitä todistuksena.

📖 2. Tim. 3: 1 and 2. Peter 3: 3 and Jude 18:

These verses give us comfort because we know that we are living in the last days of the world. The tribulation that afflicts the world and the vast multitudes of scoffers are proof of that.

📖 Hepr. 1: 2 ja 1. Piet. 1: 20:

Nämä kaksi jaetta osoittavat, että ihmiset elivät maailman aikojen loppupuolella jo Jeshuan syntymän aikoihin.  Samalla tavalla keskipäivän mentyä me sanomme olevamme loppupäivässä.

📖 Hebrews 1: 2 and 1. Peter 1: 20:

These two verses show that people were already living at the end of the world at the time of Yeshua's birth. In the same way, after noon, we say that we are at the end of the day.
