Ensimmäinen ja viimeinen * The first and the last

Risti on ollut Aleksanteri Suuren ajoista (300 eKr.) alkaen rikollisten teloitusväline. Häpeällinen kuolema ristillä on leimannut ajan kuluessa jopa kahden toisiaan leikkaavan viivan muodostaman kuvionkin häpeän tunnukseksi ja synkäksi kuoleman symboliksi.

The cross has been a means of execution since the days of Alexander the Great (300 B.C.). Disgraceful death on the cross has stamped during the ages even the pattern of cross... a figure of two perpendicular lines... a symbol of shame and a sad icon of death.

Kaikista maailman uskonnoista kristinusko kantaa tätä häpeän merkkiä. Ristiin liittyvästä häpeästä huolimatta synnitön ja puhdas Jumalan Karitsa, Jeesus, alentui ristiinnaulittavaksi ryövärien rinnalle (Hepr. 12: 2). Näin Jeesuksen kautta häpeän merkistä on tullut toivon symboli.

Among all the religions of the world it is Christianity which carries this symbol of shame. Despite the shame of the cross the sinless and pure Lamb of God, Jesus, descended to be crucified with robbers/criminals (Hebrew 12: 2). Therefore through Jesus the symbol of shame has changed to the mark of hope.

Yksinkertaisimmillaan risti muodostuu kahdesta kohtisuorasta viivasta. Erilaisia ristejä tunnetaan kymmeniä jopa satoja. Ristin vaakajanalla voidaan nähdä ihmiskunnalle annettu aika, ja ristin pystyjana kuvaa Vapahtajan alentumista taivaasta alas maailmaan ja hänen laskeutumista aina kuoleman syvyyksiin asti. Risti jakaa armonajan Vanhaan liittoon ja Uuteen liittoon Jumalan kasvojen edessä.

In it's simplest form the cross consists of two perpendicular lines. Different crosses are known to thens and hundreds. We can see on the cross's horizontal line the symbol of the age given to the mankind and on it's vertical line the Redeemer coming down on the earth and going down as far as the depth of death. The cross divides the grace into the Old Covenant and the New Covenant before the face of God.

We have been used to think that the cross refers to death, but in Egypt the cross was the sign of rescue for the Israelis. Daniel Brecher writes in his book (Through the Jewish eyes): The cross was God's Name marked with blood on the doors of Israel. Absence of that sign on the Egyptian doors opened the way to the angel of death, and therefore the Egyptian firstborns died or at least they got sick, for the Hebrew word מת (met) means both death and leprosy.

The cross was God's Name even on the arch and on the foreheads of the priests, for the cross was the sign of the covenant. It was not the catholic cross, the symbol of the of Christianity, but simply (+) or the cross on it's side, or the tick (x), this is what Daniel Brecher writes, and he is a Jew, born in Israel.

Pappien oli helppo vihmoa/piirtää tuollainen mahdollisimman yksinkertainen merkki uhrieläimen verellä. Ristinmuotoinen Tav oli temppelin Kaikkeinpyhimmän tärkein salaisuus. Kun lapsi ympärileikattiin, hänen otsaansa merkittiin risti liiton merkkinä. Koko Israelin kansa kulki erämaassa 40 vuotta ristimuodostelmassa.

It was easy for the priests to drizzle/draw this kind of a simple sign with blood. The cross-shaped Tav was the most important secret of the Temple. When a child was circumcised a cross was made on his/her forehead as a sign of the covenant. The whole Israel wandered 40 years in the wilderness in the formation of the cross.

Perhaps the Israelis saw the sign of cross the first time in the sky when they were escaping from Egypt. God was protecting them during the day in the pillar of cloud and during the night in the pillar of fire (Ex. 13: 21). Light rays and clouds make interesting patterns in the sky. A special revelation makes us to use a camera, but even without a camera we can remember the picture we see in the clouds. That is exactly what happened even to the Israelis when they saw God's sign in the sky during 40 years.

Egyptiläisten rientäessä israelilaisten perään suojapatsaassa kulkenut "Jumalan enkeli" asettui heidän väliinsä valaisten tien israelilaisille ja pimentäen sen egyptiläisiltä. Tästä tapahtumasta kerrotaan 2. Moos. 14: 19 - 21:ssa, ja juuri näiden kolmen jakeen pohjalta Salomon (?) kerrotaan tehneen ns. Laajennetun Jumalan nimen eli Shem-ha-Mephorasin, jossa 72 epäjumalan nimeä on liitetty kirjainyhdistelmään יהוה, jota sanotaan tetragrammiksi.

When the Egyptians rushed after the Israelis God's angel in the pillar moved between them lightening the way to the Israelis and darkening the way to the Egyptians. This event is told about in Ex. 14: 19 - 21, and just on the basis of these three verses Solomon (?) made the Expanded name of God or Shem-ha-Mephorash connecting 72 names of pagan idols to the letter combination יהוה called Tetragrammaton.

Pilvistä suodattuva nelisakarinen valo on tetragrammi (tetra = neljä).

The word tetra-grammaton/gram is similar to other grams showing how many horns there are in each star in question. Pentagram is a five-horned star (penta = five), and hexagram is six-horned star (sexa = six -> hexa = witch... the is magic in the hexagram). A four-horned light from the clouds is a tetragram -> tetragrammaton (tetra = four).

Risti löytyy myös heprean aakkosista. Heprean aakkosten viimeinen kirjain on Tav.

We can see the cross even in the Hebrew alphabet. The last consonant of the Hebrew ABC is called Tav. In the previously used paleo-Hebrew Tav was cross-shaped (+). All the consonants in the Hebrew alphabet have also a symbolic meaning, and Tav means covenant/union, seal/sealing.

When paleo-Hebrew was replaced with the square font (we use even today) Tav's shape was changed, but it's meaning remained.  Tav in the square font looks like this ת. It is no longer a reminder of the cross. But the change of the Hebrew alphabet created a new mark of cross. It is now the first consonant of the Hebrew ABC called Alef, and it looks like this א... a cross on it's side. Alef means ox, power, leader/leadership and firstborn.

Apostoli Johannes puhuu Jumalasta käyttämällä ilmaisuja "a ja o" (Ilm. 1: 8; 21: 6; 22: 13), "ensimmäinen ja viimeinen" (Ilm. 2: 8; 22: 13), "alku ja loppu" (Ilm. 21: 6; 22: 13). Käännös "a ja o" seuraa kreikan tekstiä, sillä kreikan aakkosissa alfa (a) on esimmäinen kirjain ja omega (o) viimeinen.

The apostle John speaks about God with such expressions as "Alpha and Omega" (Rev. 1: 8; 21: 6; 22: 13), "the first and the last" (Rev. 2: 8; 22: 13), "the beginning and the end" (Rev. 21: 6; 22: 13). "Alpha and omega" comes from the Greek, for alpha is the first and omega the last letter in Greek.

The Hebrew Alef and Tav form together a picture of God's Rescue Plan; an ox (three years old) was slaughtered to fit our sins, a cross was the place where the Lamb of God gave his live for us. But after being crucified on the "cross" "the ox" showed it's "power" and resurrected as the "firstborn" of God, and therefore he was promoted to the "leader" of the universe, the King of kings.

Alef, א, on ensimmäinen kirjain myös nimessä Ehjee, אהיה.
Ehjee eli MinäOlen (2. Moos. 3: 14) on elämänantaja ja iankaikkisen elämän takaaja (Joh. 3: 16). Ehjee on ollut ikuisesti... jo ennen universumin alkua... ja Hän jatkaisi olemistaan ikuisesti, vaikka kaikki muu universumissa tuhoutuisi.

Alef, א, is also the first consonant in the name Ehyeh, אהיה.
Ehyeh or IAm (Ex. 3: 14) is the life-giver and the guarantor of the eternal life (John 3: 16). Ehyeh has been forever... already before the beginning of the universe... and He'll exist forever, even if everything else in the universe would be destroyed.

Risti oli juutalaisilla Jumalan Nimi, kuten Daniel Brecher mainitsee kirjassaan moneen kertaan. Alkukirjaimensa kautta nimi Ehjee liittyy vahvasti ristiin. Alef on ristinmerkki, Jumalan tunnetuin merkki, ja א on Ehjeen nimikirjain.

The cross was God's Name for the Jews as Daniel Brecher mentions many times in his book. Through the initial letter the name Ehyeh is strongly related to the cross. Alef is a sign of cross, God's most famous sign, and א is Ehyeh's initial.

Although the letter combination יהוה has been claimed to be God's name, it has no cross (rather a pile/Wav), no the first or the last consonant of the Hebrew alphabet. It doesn't relate to God, from which John used the words/expressions "the first and the last", "the beginning and the end", "alpha and omega". There is not any indication to the ox or to God's "firstborn" among all the resurrected ones or to the highest "leader", the King of kings. There is no sign of God's covenant and no sign of the "sealing".

Mutta kaikki nuo tunnusmerkit liittyvät nimeen Ehjee, אהיה! Siksi se on minun valintani!

But all those signs are related to the name Ehyeh, אהיה! Therefore it's my choice!

Jumalan kunniaa * God's glory

"Taivaat julistavat Jumalan kunniaa,
taivaanvahvuus ilmoittaa hänen kättensä tekoja.
Päivä sanoo päivälle,
ja yö ilmoittaa yölle.
Se ei ole puhetta,
se ei ole kieltä,
jonka ääni ei kuuluisi.
Niiden mittanuora ulottuu yli kaiken maan
ja niiden sanat maanpiirin ääriin.
Auringolle hän on tehnyt niihin majan." (Ps. 19: 2 - 5)

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,.
and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language,
where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun." (Ps. 19: 1 - 4)

"Kun minä katselen sinun taivastasi,
sinun sormiesi tekoa,
kuuta ja tähtiä,
jotka sinä olet luonut,
niin mikä on ihminen,
että sinä häntä muistat,
tai ihmislapsi,
että pidät hänestä huolen?" (Ps. 8: 4, 5)

"When I consider thy heavens,
the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which thou hast ordained;
What is man,
that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man,
that thou visitest him?" (Ps. 8: 3, 4)

Minä olen = אהיה = I am

Koska toistuvasti törmään siihen väitteeseen, että "Minä olen" (2. Moos.

Because I repeatedly face the claim that "I am" (Ex. 3: 14) = Yahweh/Jehovah (יהוה), I'll publish these tables and pictures once more.

Ensimmäisessä kuvassa näkyy 2. Moos. 3: 14 hepreaksi. Teksti kulkee oikealta vasemmalle ja tärkeät kolme sanaa (vokaaleineen) löytyvät toisen rivin vasemmasta lopusta. Tuosta jakeesta on turha etsiä tetragrammia יהוה.

In the first picture we see Ex. 3:14. Read from right to left. There are three important words (with vowels) in the end of the second line. אהיה אשר אהיה = I am that I am. In vain we'll seek for the Tetragrammaton, יהוה, in this verse.

Klikkaa kuvat suuremmiksi
Click the pictures and make them bigger

אהיה = olen/minä olen.

In the next picture we see the conjugations of the verb hajah/hjh, היה, in Qal Imperfect. Take the third vertical column from left and study thoroughly every word. The order of the persons differs from us; first comes 3. masculine person in singular, then feminine, after that both 2. persons and then 1. person in singular. The important word is the fifth one. אהיה = (I) am.

Kuten edellisestä kuvasta näemme tetragrammia, יהוה, on turha etsiä hajah-verbin taivutustaulukoista. Kummallinen ristiriita! Kuvasta näkyy myös muiden havah-verbiä muistuttavien sanojen merkitys.

As we saw in the previous picture it's in vain to seek for the Tetragrammaton, יהוה, among the conjugations of the verb hajah. Let's notice that the Tetragrammaton is not even the third singular person of the verb hajah! Maybe therefore it has been claimed that the Tetragrammaton has been derived from the verb havah/hvh, הוה. In the next picture we can see the meanings of that verb (havah/hvh) and how many times it appears in the Old Testament. You should study even the mentioned texts in order to get a better understanding of the meaning of the verb havah. So, it occurs only five times in the Old Testament while the Tetragrammaton appears nearly 7000 times. A strange contradiction! In this picture we can also see the meanings of the similar words.

Kahdessa seuraavassa kuvassa palataan takaisin hajah-verbiin, היה, joka esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa noin 3500 kertaa. Se tulee tutuksi jo heti ensimmäisessä luomiskertomuksessa, sillä kutsuessaan kaikki luomansa asiat ja olennot tulemaan ja olemaan, Jumala (ELOHIM) käytti hajah-verbiä... samaa verbiä, jolla Hän ilmaisi oman nimensä Mooseksella.

In the next two pictures we go back to the verb hajah and see how many times it appears in the Old Testament... nearly 3500. We'll face it already in the first creation story. When God (ELOHIM) called all the things and creatures to come/become and exist he used the verb hajah... with the same verb he expressed his name to Moses.

The one who still claims that the Tetragrammaton means "I am" does it at his own risk before God. Some Hebrew specialists say that the Tetragrammaton has not even been derived from the verb havah/hvh... not to mention the verb hajah/hjh.

Myrsky asettuu * The storm gets silent

How very human it is that we get nervous and distressed in the midst of difficulties and hardships. So did the disciples, too. Maybe their experience has been written to us for encouragement.

The disciples were fishermen and every time they had an opportunity they got on bout and headed for the lake. So they did even that night when Jesus had just fed 5000 men with their families.  Jesus sent them before himself and he stayed to sent the multitudes away. Whether they have fortune to get fish or was it the storm that delayed their journey, for the disciples were still on lake at 3 - 6 a'clock in the morning. Both Mathew (14: 23 - 33), Mark (6: 46 - 51) and John (6: 16 - 21) write about the event.

Evankelistojen kertomukset poikkeavat toisistaan siinä määrin, että niiden perusteella on vaikea sanoa, olivatko opetuslapset menossa Beetsaidaan vai Kapernaumiin, ja mistä he lähtivät matkaan. Samoin on pientä epäselvyyttä siitä, miten kaukana järvellä he olivat.

The stories of the evangelists differ so much that it is difficult to say where did they go to (Bethsaida or Capernaum) and from where did they leave on their journey. As well as there is a little ambiguity about how far on the lake they were. But along Mark's text their ship was in the midst of the sea, when Jesus saw them.

Saatuaan kansan lähtemään koteihinsa Jeesus nousi vuorelle rukoilemaan.

When the multitudes had gone Jesus went up on the mountain to pray. Mark tells that Jesus saw from there how the disciples were toiling in rowing. If that moment was still light (in the evening) and Jesus met them just in the morning, they had to be very exhausted and frightened after fighting so many hours against the storm.

Whether their situation was different if they knew (and believe) that Jesus knew all the time everything of them.

Hehän eivät olleet lainkaan yksin tai ilman apujoukkoja. Jeesus näki heidän tilanteensa ja tiesi koko ajan, miten he jaksoivat.

They were not alone at all and without any help. Jesus saw their situation and knew every moment how they did. Jesus were high on the mountain like God sitting on his throne and having an accurate situation assessment of every human being.

Jeesuksen lähestyessä opetuslapsia, he eivät tunnistaneet rakasta Mestariaan, vaan luulivat häntä aaveeksi. Onhan totta, että veden päällä kävelevä ihminen on todella harvinainen näky vieläkin, mutta muutaman leipäpalan ja kalan muuttaminen monien tuhansien ihmisten ateriaksi olisi pitänyt herättää heidät miettimään ja kyselemään, kuka heidän Mestarinsa oikeasti oli.

When Jesus approached the disciples they did not recognise their Master, but thought of him as a ghost. It is true however that a man walking on the water is still a rare sight, but after the great wonder of feeding the multitudes they should have think and ask, who their Master really is.

Apparently they had not yet considered that question. Perhaps the storm demanded their attention. Therefore Jesus had to introduce himself to them. And that introduction was not any call out like: hey guys, it's me. Definitely not! The translations... as it happens very often... waste the core of the matter.

Miettikäämme siis hetken tuota Jeesuksen esittäytymistä:
"MINÄ se OLEN; älkää peljätkö" (Matt. 14: 27; Mark. 6:50; Joh. 6: 20)

Tuleeko mitään mieleen Vanhan Testamentin puolelta?
Jumala sanoi sekä Iisakille, Jaakobille, Moosekselle, Joosualle, Gideonille että Daavidille samaan tapaan: älä pelkää, MINÄ OLEN sinun kanssasi. Kyseiset tekstit Vanhan Testamentin puolella kuuluvat ns. EHJEH-teksteihin.

Therefore let's think about Jesus' introduction:
Read Matthew 14: 27; Mark 6: 50; John 6: 20.
The English translation is very poor. The Finnish translation reminds the Ehyeh-texts (I AM in Ex. 3: 14) in the Old Testament and God's encouraging words to Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Gideon and David.

Em. Uuden Testamentin tekstit
Juuri nämä samat sanat löytyvät myös useissa Uuden Testamentin teksteissä, joissa Jeesus sanoo: "Minä olen..."

The previous texts
- in Hebrew: כי אני הוא (ki ani hu)
- in Aramaic: אני אני (ena'na)
- in Greek: εγο ειμι (ego eimi)
These same words appear also in many texts of the New Testament where Jesus says "I am..."

Kun ajattelen yön pimeydessä ja rajun myrskyn keskellä vastatuuleen soutavia opetuslapsia, se on mielestäni mitä osuvin vertauskuva siitä kamppailusta, jonka sielunvihollinen demoneineen (aaveineen) aiheuttaa synnintuskissaan kamppaileville ihmisille. Jumala lupaa upottaa tunnustetut synnit meren syvyyteen (Miika 7: 19), mutta Saatana yrittää alituisesti muistuttaa meitä niistä.

When I think of those disciples rowing against the headwind in the darkness of night and in the midst of the heavy storm, I think it's the most appropriate metaphor of the struggle the Devil causes with his demons (ghosts) to every person who feels guilty and has confessed his sins, but Satan continues to blame him. God promises to cast our confessed sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7: 19), but Satan recalls them continuously.

He tunnustivat: "Totisesti sinä olet Jumalan Poika" (Matt. 14: 33).

But let's see what happened when Jesus entered the boat of the disciples. The wind ceased... at once! No wonder why even the disciples knew after that experience, with whom they had been eating the previous day. Their fear of storm changed to honour the Master. They said "Of  a truth, thou art the Son of God" (Matthew 14: 33).

Rangaistus tulee * The punishment will come

Epäoikeutta ja vääryyttä kokemaan joutuneet tietävät, miten inhimillinen mieli huokaa oikeudenmukaisen Jumalan puoleen ja etsii itselleen oikeutta, hyvitystä ja tasoitusta jopa rukoilemalla rikkoneelle osapuolelle rangaistusta, kostoa ja tuomiota. Raamatusta löytyy monia esimerkkejä tuollaisista rukouksista. Ehkä kaikkein hurjimmassa koston- ja rangaistuksen toivossa elettiin Baabelin virtain vierillä (Ps. 137).

Those who have had to experience injustice know how the human mind sighs to a just God and seeks justice, reward and equalisation even by praying punishment, revenge and judgment for the guilty persons. There are many examples of such prayers even in the Bible. Perhaps people prayed with the most deep hope of revenge and punishment by the rivers of Babylon (Ps. 137).

But will God's just punishment ever happen? Doesn't it look that all the criminals and wrong doers in this world do quite well! And is it righteous and right at all to pray like in the Psalm 137 that God will dash the little ones of your enemy against the stones? At least for me such a prayer is repugnant and it tells of a bitter anger in one's heart.

I think everyone knows in his/her conscience when he/she has violated his neighbour, for the Creator made everything once beautiful and perfect and he has set it to stay so for ever (Ecc. 3: 11)! But all unsolved violations etc. harden human mind and the more there are unsolved things the more difficult it is to begin to recognise and find them out.

Sometimes it seems to me that some people want even to have cremation and their ashes to be strewed around on the earth or on sea in order to prove themselves that they can avoid God's judgment. Maybe they never read some verses in the Revelation:
"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works" (Rev. 20: 12, 13).

But why the judgment comes only after death and resurrection? Apparently because all people are present then.

Tällaisia ajatuksia nousi mieleeni lukiessani tänään 1. Samuelin kirjasta kuningas Saulin ja profeetta Samuelin kostomatkasta amalekilaisen Agagin luo (1. Sam. 15. luku).

This is what I have been thinking when I read today in the first book of Samuel about the revenge tour of the king Saul and the prophet Samuel to Agag, the king of Amalek. The reason for this revenge tour was a war, which had happened 300 years earlier between Israel and Amalek. Perhaps the name Agag is a dynasty name like pharaoh in Egypt referring to the leader of the nation. In 300 years there have been many leaders but some agag is always in power.

Erämaavaelluksen aikana amalekilaiset asettuivat vastustamaan israelilaisten kulkemista alueittensa läpi ja kävivät hyökkäykseen heitä vastaan. Käydyn taistelun aikana Mooses piti Jumalan sauvaa kohotettuna koko päivän ajan. Mooseksen käsien uupuessa amalekilaiset pääsivät niskan päälle, mutta Aaronin ja Huurin kannatellessa Mooseksen käsivarsia Joosua lopulta voitti amalekilaiset.

During the wilderness wandering Amalek stood up against Israel and denied them to pass through their country, and they attacked Israel. During that fight Moses hold up God's rod in his arms all day long. When he got tired with his arms Amalek prevailed, but when Aaron and Hur stayed up his arms Joshua succeeded in winning Amalek.

Jo tuolloin Jumala kehoitti Moosesta kirjoittamaan päivän tapahtumat muistiin ja antoi kauaskantoisen lupauksen: .
"Minä pyyhin pois amalekilaisten muiston taivaan alta" (2. Moos. 17: 14).

Even then God told Moses to write a memorial, and he gave a far-reaching promised:
"I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven" (Ex. 17: 14).

Moos. 36: 10 - 12), ja siksi he olivat israelilaisten sukulaisia.

Even the nation of Amalek descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, for Amalek was the son of Eliphas, the son of Esau (Gen. 36: 10 - 12), and therefore they were relatives to Israel. But not even relationship helps God's judgment if the crimes are not investigated in time.

Mooseksen ja Joosuan aikaiset amalekilaiset kai luulivat selvinneensä Israelille tekemistään ilkeyksistä ilman rangaistusta, mutta miltä Jumalan rangaistus mahtoi tuntua 500 vuotta myöhemmin!

Maybe the nation of Amalek in the time of Moses and Joshua believed they avoided God's punishment, but how could the punishment of God be felt 500 years later!

Jesaja lohduttaa kaikkia Jumalan oikeutta odottavia näin: "Sanokaa hätääntyneille sydämille: 'Olkaa lujat, älkää peljätkö. Katso, teidän Jumalanne! Kosto tulee, Jumalan Rangaistus! Hän tulee ja pelastaa teidät" (Jes. 35: 4).

Isaiah comforts all those who are waiting for God's justice:
"Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you" (Isa. 35: 4).

Kaksi jumaluutta * Two deities

Ensimmäinen Mooseksen kirja (Genesis) alkaa kahdella eri luomiskertomuksella:
1. Ensimmäinen luomiskertomus löytyy jakeista 1: 1 - 2: 3.
Tätä luomiskertomusta kutsutaan elohistiseksi, koska siinä toimii luojana  אלהים eli Elohim.
Elohim on väkevä Luoja, joka sai kaiken elollisen ilmestymään tyhjästä ja olemattomasta Sanansa voimalla (Ps. 33: 9).
Hänen luomisvoimaansa kuvaa heprean sana ברא (bara) "tehdä olemattomasta oleva".
Elohim antoi meille kodiksi täydellisen maailman ja asetti meihin 7-päiväisen rytmin.

The book of Genesis begins with two creation stories:
1. The first creation story is in 1: 1 - 2: 3.
This story is called Elohistic, because it's author is אלהים or Elohim. Elohim is a mighty Creator, who succeeded in making all living things from nothing/null by the power of his Word (Ps. 33: 9).
His creative power is described with a Hebrew word ברא (bara) "to make an existing thing from nothing". Elohim gave a perfect world to be our home and he set a 7-day-rhytm in us.

2. Toinen luomiskertomus löytyy jakeista 2: 4 - 25.
Tätä luomiskertomusta kutsutaan jahvistiseksi, koska siinä toimii luojana יהוה אלהים  eli Jahve Elohim... lyhyesti hepreasta Jahve/Jehova. Jahven luomisvoima rajoittuu jo olemassa olevan materian uudelleenmuokkaamiseen.

2. The second creation story is in 2: 4 - 25.
This creation story is called Yahwistic, because it's author is יהוה אלהים or the Lord God... shortly from Hebrew Yahweh/Jehovah. The creative power of Yahweh is limited to reshape the already existing material. With Adam he used dust from earth (2: 7) and with Eve he used Adam's bone (2: 22). His acts are described with a Hebrew word עשה (asa). Yahweh's/Jehovah's interest is concentrated in the relationship between man and woman.

When/if you mark those different deities with two colors, you can see even as a layman with your own eyes, how the text of Genesis has been put together from alternately the parts of the Elohistic and Yahwistic sources. But this kind of combination of texts makes those two deities look like one and the same. Has it been even the aim and the goal?

It is clear that the true god knows his own name, but it is equally clear that even the false god knows it. However we must remember that the goal of the false god is to blur our perception and knowledge of the true god and to mix it as perfectly as possible with his own name. This is because the aim and the goal of the false god is to ascend to the level of the true god and rather higher above him (Isa. 14: 13, 14).

Eräs mielenkiintoinen keskustelu on tallennettu jakeisiin 1. Moos. 3: 1 - 5, jossa kerrotaan käärmeen ja Eevan keskustelusta. Kannattaa huomioida, mitä nimeä he käyttivät tosijumalasta! Vaikka "kertoja" johdattelee heti alkuun lukijan mieleen kuvan Jahvesta/Jehovasta (suomeksi "Herra Jumala"), käärme ei käyttänyt tuota nimeä lainkaan... ei myöskään Eeva omassa vastauksessaan. He molemmat käyttivät nimeä ELOHIM! Miksi? Siksi, että he molemmat tiesivät, että juuri Elohim on universumin Luoja/tosijumala... eikä Jahve/Jehova!

One interesting conversation has been written in Gen. 3: 1 - 5, a conversation between Eve and the serpent. Please note the name they used of the true god! Although the "storyteller" opens the conversation using the name of Yahweh/Jehovah (the Lord God in English), the serpent didn't use that name at all... not even Eve in her reply. They both used the name of ELOHIM! Why? Because they both knew that Elohim is the true god/the creator of the universe... not Yahweh/Jehovah!

Tuon lankeemuksen seurauksena Eeva synnytti Jahven/Jehovan/Herran avulla (1. Moos. 4: 1) Kainin. Moos. 5. luku). Miksi ei? Koska Kain oli "käärmeen siementä" (1. Moos. 3: 15).

Therefore it was Elohim that warned Adam and Eve! But after all neither of them didn't believe in his warning. And what happened? They sinned, and that sin was the first sexual crime of the mankind... not any "apple" eating! As a result of that fall Eve conceived and got Cain with the help of Yahweh/Jehovah/Lord (Gen. 4: 1). But that first son hasn't been accepted into the generations of Adam (the 5th chapter of Genesis). Why not? Because Cain is of "the seed of the serpent" (Gen. 3: 15).

The fact that Cain doesn't belong to the generations of Adam means also that he doesn't even belong to the human chain descending from Seth, from which also the Redeemer was born 4000 years later. The fact that there will be an "antichrist" in the end of the world makes sense that there was an "antichrist" also in the beginning of the world. And Cain fits perfectly into that picture.

Elohim gave life in the creation and he gives  new life in the redemption. Lucifer, once created as an angel of light, has always known the human genome regulating our physical life as well as the modern science knows it now. Therefore it was very easy for him to fulfil his own purpose with Adam and Eve who fell into his trap. By helping Eve to conceive he succeeded in rising to a considered and valued deity before the first human couple. From that time there has been a struggle between two deities.

Looginen tunnustus * Logical confession

Meille kaikille lienee varsin tuttua se, miten lujasti me pidämme kiinni omasta tunnustuksestamme ja puolustamme omaa näkemystämme toisinajattelevien argumentteja vastaan. Mutta joskus tunnustuksemme menee kyllä komiikan puolelle.

Everyone knows how firmly we stick to our own confession and defend our own view of the dissenting arguments. But you see, sometimes our confession goes to the comic side.

Ajatellaan nyt esim. Luuk. 23: 43:n tulkintaa!
Kyseinen jae kuuluu 1938-version mukaan:
"Niin Jeesus sanoi hänelle: 'Totisesti minä sanon sinulle: tänä päivänä pitää sinun oleman minun kanssani paratiisissa'."
Ja 1992-version mukaan:
"Jeesus vastasi: ' Totisesti, jo tänään olet minun kanssani paratiisissa'."

Let's think for example the interpretation of Luke 23: 43!
According to KJV:
"And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, to day shalt thou be with me in paradise."

Kuka on valinnut välimerkkien paikat?

Who has chosen punctuation locations? There is no punctuation in the original text! Therefore a translator can choose the location of the colon; either before or after the words "to day." The idea is completely different, if we set the colon after those words.

Viittaavatko sanat "tänä päivänä" siihen päivään, jolloin Jeesus antoi tuon lupauksen ryövärille, vai siihen päivään, joilloin paratiisi toteutuu käytännössä uudelleen?

Do those words "to day" refer to that day Jesus gave the promise to the robber or to the day, when the paradise becomes reality again?

It's absolutely certain that the paradise didn't yet happen to anyone; not to Jesus, not to the robber and not to this world.

We say in our creed that Jesus stayed in the tomb until the third day, and that it was "the third day" after the crucifixion when He resurrected. Thus it's a mere impossibility that Jesus were in paradise in that same day, not to mention the robber.

Ryövärin ylösnousemus tulee tapahtumaan "viimeisen pasuunan soidessa" Jeesuksen paluun yhteydessä (Joh. 5: 28, 29; 14: 1 - 3;1. Tess. 4: 13 - 18).

The resurrection of the robber will happen when Jesus comes back "with the voice of the trump of God" (Joh. 5: 28, 29, 14: 1 - 3; 1. Thess. 4: 13 - 18).

Jesus was raised to be the King after his resurrection, for God accepted his perfect salvation mission. But immediately after his resurrection Jesus didn't allow Mary to touch him, for he had nor yet visit Father (John 20: 17). The meeting of the Son and the Ancient (as Daniel describes in 7: 13, 14) happened very soon after that, for we see that a little later Jesus allowed Thomas to touch his hands and side (John 20: 27, 28).

Kor. 15: 51 - 55). Vanhurskauden Valtakunta on olemassa kansalaistensa myötä! Jeesuksen lupaus koski siis tulevaa päivää... sitä päivää, jolloin hän itse istuu vanhurskauden valtaistuimella ikuisena Kuninkaana, ja jolloin hänen valtakuntansa kansalaiset saavat ikuisen perintönsä.

When Jesus returns to receive his children he will come as the King of kings and the Lord of lords (Rev. 19: 11 - 16). The kingdom of God and the Lamb, the robber referred to (Luke 23: 42), will be fulfilled at the moment when Jesus raises his followers from the dead and puts them with the living holy ones on immortality and incorruption (1. Cor. 15: 51 - 55).
The Righteous Kingdom of the will be true with it's citizens! Therefore Jesus' promise referred to the coming day... the day, when He'll sit on the righteous throne as the eternal King and when  the citizens of this kingdom will get their everlasting heritage.
