Tällä hetkellä koko maailmaa kuohuttaa monin eri tavoin Covid 19:ksi nimetty pandemia. Pandemia tarkoittaa maailmaajuisesti levinnyttä epidemiaa, ja epidemia puolestaan tarkoittaa kulkitautia. Molemmat sanat pandeamia (πανδεμια) ja epidemia (επιδεμια) ovat suoria lainoja kreikan kielestä, eikä kumpikaan sana esiinny Raamatussa. Uudessa Testamentissa ei siis esiinny sanaa επιδεμια (epideemia) eli kulkutauti.
Currently, the whole world is being ravaged by a pandemic called Covid 19 in many different ways. A pandemic means a worldwide epidemic, and an epidemic means a deadly disease that is transmitted from person to person. Both the words pandemia (πανδεμια) and epidemic (επιδεμια) are direct quotations from the Greek language, and neither word appears in the Bible. Thus, the word επιδεμια (epidemic) does not appear in the New Testament.
Apostoli Johannes ennusti Ilmestyskirjassa merkittävistä kansojen kohtaloista ja pelottavista aikojen merkeistä, jotka tapahtuisivat ennen Jeeshuan paluuta taivaan pilvissä. Koska Johanneksen teksti on ollut ihmisten luettavissa ensimmäisen vuosisadan puolesta välistä (jKr.) lähtien, on selvää, että kaikki ihmisiä suurin määrin tappaneet pandemiat on haluttu nähdä kukin omana aikanaan Johanneksen ennustusten täyttymyksenä.
In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John foretold the significant destinies of the nations and the frightening signs of the times that would take place before the return of Jeshua in the clouds of heaven. Since the text of John has been available to the people since the first century (AD), it is clear that all the pandemics that have killed the people the most have been seen as the fulfilment of John's prophecies in their own time.
Suuria ja vakavia pandemioita on ollut maailmassa Johanneksen ajan jälkeen useita. Vanhemmista pandemioista nimekkäimpiä lienevät Musta Surma (1346 - 53), Ryssänkuume (1889 - 90), monet rutto- ja kolerapandemiat 1800- ja 1900- luvuilla ja Espanjan tauti (1918 - 20). Uusimpia pandemioita meidän aikanamme ovat AIDS (1981 -> ), sikainfluenssa (2009) ja tämänhetkinen Covid19 (2020 -> ).
There have been several major and serious pandemics in the world since the time of John. The most notable of the older pandemics are probably the Black Death (1346-53), the Russian fever (1889-90), many plague and cholera pandemics in the 19th and 20th centuries, and the Spanish disease (1918-20). The most recent pandemics in our time are AIDS (1981 ->), swine flu (2009) and the current Covid19 (2020 ->).
Olisi hienoa olla ennustaja, joka tietäisi sanoa, milloin covid tulee loppumaan. Mutta ehkä se ei lopukaan, tai kenties se kestää 7 vuotta niin kuin Musta Surma. Ihmisen osana on suuri tietämättömyys. Mutta kannustakoon se meitä itse kutakin etsimään turvaa ja viisautta Taivaan Jumalalta!
It would be great to be a fortune teller who would know when the covid will run out. But maybe it has no end, or maybe it will take 7 years like Black Death. There is great ignorance on the part of man. But may it encourage each of us to seek refuge and wisdom from the God of Heaven!
Mediassa leviää kaikenlaisia viestiä; faktaa ja fiktiota, propagandaa ja anti-propagandaa. Kuka tästä kaikesta saa enää mitään tolkkua! Samalla vihan ja raivon määrä on kasvanut nopeasti suuriin mittoihin. Elämme "totuuden jälkeisessä ajassa”, ja meidän kannattaa suhtautua kaikkeen kuulemamme/lukemaamme terveellä epäilyllä ja tarmokkaalla päätöksellä ottaa asioista itse selvää.
All kinds of messages spread in the media; fact and fiction, propaganda and anti-propaganda. Who can make any sense of all this! At the same time, the amount of anger and rage has grown rapidly to large proportions. We live in a “time after the truth,” and we should treat everything we hear/read with a healthy doubt and a vigorous decision to find out for ourselves.
Uskovien keskuudessa on levinnyt huhu, jonka mukaan apostoli Johannes olisi kätkenyt sanan Korona/covid tai ainakin kulkutauti sanaan ”rutto" Ilmestyskirjan jakeessa 6: 8. Tämä voi olla tulenarka aihe, sillä ihmiset ovat laskeneet sanasta covid tavalla tai toisella pedon lukua ja vääntäneet rokotepakkoa pedon merkiksi.
There is a rumor among believers that the apostle John hid the word Corona/covid, or at least the pentilence, in the word ”death" in Revelation 6: 8. This can be a fiery topic, as people have, in one way or another, calculated the number of the beast from the word covid and twisted the vaccine compulsion as a sign of the beast.
Mutta näin lukee Ilm. 6: 8:ssa ”Ja minä näin, ja katso: hallava hevonen; ja sen selässä istuvan nimi oli Kuolema, ja Tuonela seurasi hänen mukanaan, ja heidän valtaansa annettiin neljäs osa maata, annettiin valta tappaa miekalla ja nälällä ja rutolla ja maan petojen kautta.”
But this is what Revelation 6: 8 says: ”And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with beasts of the earth."
Kuten jo heti alussa totesin ”kulkutauti” on kreikaksi επιδεμια (epideemia), mistä tuntemamme sana ’epidemia’ on suora laina, eikä tuota sanaa löydy kreikankielisestä Uudesta Testamentista, siis ei myöskään Ilm. 6: 8:sta.
As I said at first, “epidemic” is επιδεμια (epidemic) in Greek, of which the word ‘epidemic’ as we know it is a direct quote, and that word is not found in the Greek New Testament, nor in Revelation 6: 8.
Sen sijaan kyseisessä jakeessa on sana θανατοζ (thanatos), joka on suomennettu sanalla ”rutto”. θανατοζ (thanatos) merkitsee 1. kuolemaa, 2. kuolemanrangaistusta, 3. kuolemanvaaraa, 4. ruttoa, 5. Kuolemaa (henkilöitynä), 6. hengellistä kuolemaa, 7. kuoleman aiheuttajaa, 8. iankaikkista kuolemaa.
Instead, that verse contains the word θανατοζ (thanatos), which is translated into Finnish as ’rutto'. θανατοζ (thanatos) means 1. death, 2. death penalty, 3. danger of death, 4. plague, 5. Death (in person), 6. spiritual death, 7. cause of death, 8. eternal death.
Jotta ymmärtäisimme suomalaisen ”rutto”-sanan, on katsottava selitystä ”Suomen sanojen alkuperä”-teoksesta, jonka mukaan ’rutto’ merkitsee nopeaa/ripeää/äkkipikaista (vrt. Room. 9: 28 ”lopullisesti ja rutosti” = lopullisesti ja nopeasti).
In order to understand the Finnish word “rutto,” it is necessary to look at the explanation of “The Origin of Finnish Words”, according to which ’rutto' means fast/quick/sudden (cf. Rom. 9:28).
Kreikan θανατοζ (thanatos) merkitsee siis nopeasti leviävää sairautta, joka tuottaa kuolemaa. Vanhimmassa suomenkielisessä käännöksessä (1642 - 1776) esiintyy sana ”surma" aivan oikeassa merkityksessä. Kysymys on kuoleman/surman tuottajasta.
The Greek θανατοζ (thanatos) thus signifies a rapidly spreading disease that produces death. In the oldest Finnish translation (1642 - 1776), the word "death" appears in the very correct sense.
Näyttää siltä, että Ilm. 6: 8 on ainoa Uuden Testamentin teksti, jossa esiintyy kreikan sana θανατοζ (thanatos). Kuitenkin suomenkielisessä tekstissä sana ”rutto” esiintyy myös Luuk. 21: 11:ssa, jossa Jeeshua puhuu maailman lopun merkeistä. Suomalaisessa käännöksessä puhutaan ”rutosta ja nälänhädästä”, arameassa ”nälänhädästä ja vitsauksista”. Kreikassa on sanat λιμοι και λοιμοι (limoi kai loimoi), jonka kääntäminen on epävarmaa; ilmeisesti se tarkoittaa kuitenkin ”nälkää ja nälänhätää”.
Revelation 6: 8 seems to be the only New Testament text in which the Greek word θανατοζ (thanatos) appears. However, in the Finnish text, the word “rutto” also appears in Luke 21:11, where Jesus speaks of the signs of the end of the world. The Finnish translation speaks of “rutto... and famine”, the Aramaic speaks of “famine and plague”. In Greece, there are the words λιμοι και λοιμοι (limoi kai limoi), which are uncertain; apparently, however, “hunger and famine”.
Kun Kuningas Jaakon käännöksessä (KJV) lukee tässä jakeessa (Luuk. 21: 11) ”famines and pestilences” (nälänhätää ja ruttotauteja), ja kun englannin sana ”pestilence” merkitsee ”ruton" lisäksi suomeksi myös ”kulkutautia”, joku on vetänyt sellaisen johtopäätöksen, että myös Ilm. 6: 8:ssa pitäisi lukea ruton sijasta kulkutauti, mikä tällä hetkellä meidän arjessamme tarkoittaa Koronaa.
When King James Version (KJV) reads in Luke 21: 11“famines and pestilences” in this verse, and when the English word “pestilence” means into Finnish “kulkutauti,” someone has drawn the conclusion that also in Revelation 6: 8 should read ”kulkutauti” instead of ”rutto”.
Summa summarum Ilm. 6: 8:ssa on siis vahva sanoma kuolemasta, joka kohtaa neljättä osaa maailman kaikista ihmisistä. Kuolemanviesti on luettavissa jo heti hallavan hevosen ratsastajan nimessä... ”Kuolema”! Kaikki pandemiat ovat tuottaneet laajamittaista kuolemaa ihmisten keskuudessa, ja ne kaikki voidaan sisällyttää vaikutukseltaan sanaan ”rutto” eli kuolema, mitä kreikan θανατοσ (thanatos) varsinaisesti merkitsee.
The summa summarum in Revelation 6: 8 thus contains a strong message of death that will affect a quarter of all people in the world. The death message can be read immediately in the name of the rider of the pale horse ... “Death”! All pandemics have produced large-scale deaths among humans, and all of them can be included in the word “rutto,” or death, which is what the Greek θανατοσ (thanatos) actually means.
