Tonje Hessen Schei’n ja Michael Rowley’n ohjaama elokuva Praying for Admageddon (suomeksi Tuomiopäivän Saarnaajat) herätti minut ihmettelemään sitä, miten kovin eri tavoin ihmiset voivat lukea ja tulkita Raamatun kirjoituksia. Täytyy myöntää, että olenhan minä ollut siitä aikaisemminkin tietoinen, mutta elokuvan kautta saamani käsitys Yhdysvaltojen kristillisen oikeiston tulkinnoista ja todellisista yrityksistä toteuttaa Ilmestyskirjan ennustuksia käytännössä rahan ja politiikan voimalla sai minut järkyttymään; en löydä edes oikeita sanoja kuvaamaan elokuvan herättämiä ajatuksia ja tunteita.
The film Praying for Admageddon (Doomsday Preachers in Finnish) directed by Tonje Hessen Schei and Michael Rowley made me wonder how people can read and interpret the Bible in very different ways. I have to admit that I have been aware of it before, but the understanding I got through the film about the interpretations of the Christian right in the United States and the real attempts to implement the prophecies of the Book of Revelation in practice with the power of money and politics shocked me; I can't even find the right words to describe the thoughts and feelings evoked by the film.
Inhimillinen tyhmyys ja röyhkeys huipentuvat mielestäni siinä ajattelussa, että ihminen tai ihmisryhmä voisi muka suunnitelluilla kampanjoilla ja tarkoitushakuisilla toimilla toteuttaa Danielin ja Johanneksen tuhansia vuosia aikaisemmin kirjoittamia ennustuksia. Tällä tavoin toimivat ihmiset asettavat itsensä Jumalan yläpuolelle juuri samalla tavalla kuin myös Lucifer on tehnyt. Heidän käskijänsä/herransa ei voi olla kukaan muu kuin itse Saatana, joka on Jumalan Vastustaja.
In my opinion, human stupidity and arrogance culminate in thinking that a person or a group of people could, with planned campaigns and purposeful actions, fulfill the prophecies written by Daniel and John thousands of years earlier. People who act in this way put themselves above God in exactly the same way that Lucifer has done. Their commander/master can be none other than Satan himself, who is the Adversary of God.

I find the mixing of religion and politics the most disgusting thing. But that's how it's always been done, and that's how it's still being done now under Satan's leadership.

It is sad to see how the representatives of the American evangelical movement boast of their own rightness, and how easily they make large masses of people fall for their fanatical religion in the name of the Bible and God.
Evankelikaalisten pappien apokalyptisessä julistuksessa erityisen suuren huomion saa veren roiskuminen. Heidän suosima teksti näyttää olevan jumalattomien tuho, joka Ilmestyskirjassa rinnastetaan viinikuurnan polkemiseen. Viinirypäleet vastaavat jumalattomia, ja kuurnasta valuva viini jumalattomien verta, jonka määrä viinikuurnassa yltää hevosten kuolaimiin saakka (Ilm. 14: 18 - 20).
In the apocalyptic proclamation of evangelical priests, the splashing of blood gets a lot of attention. Their favourite passage seems to be the destruction of the wicked, which in Revelation is likened to the treading of the winepress. The grapes correspond to the wicked, and the wine flowing from the winepress is the blood of the wicked, the amount of which in the winepress reaches up to the horses' drools (Rev. 14: 18 - 20).
Veri kuohuttaa ihmisten mieliä! Tuossa kiihkossa lienee myös Jumalan Pojan suusta lähtevä "sanan miekka” (Ilm. 1: 16) vaihtunut Valkoisen hevosen selässä ratsastavan (ja muka Jeesusta kuvaavan) olennon käteen asetetuksi tuliaseeksi. Evankelikaalisilla on näköjään jopa oikeus muuttaa Ilmestyskirjan kuvakieltä ja vertauskuvia.
Blood blows people's minds! In that frenzy, the "sword of the word" coming from the mouth of the Son of God (Revelation 1: 16) must also have changed into a firearm placed in the hand of the being riding on the back of the White Horse (and thus depicting Jesus). Evangelicals apparently even have the right to change the imagery and metaphors of the Book of Revelation.
"Jumalan viha” on outo ilmaisu Olennosta, jonka sanotaan olevan Rakkaus (1. Joh. 4: 8). Raamatun kirjoittajat ovat kaikki olleet ihmisiä, eikä "ihmisen/miehen viha tee sitä, mikä on oikein Jumalan edessä” (Jaak. 1: 20), eli ihmisen viha ei toteuta Jumalan vanhurskauden periaatteita. Kun ihminen kirjoittaa "Jumalan vihasta”, hän kuvaa sitä omien maallisten ja epäpuhtaiden kokemusten ja tunteiden kautta. Siksi jokaisen Raamatun lukijan kannataa pitää mielessä, että Jumala ei ole itse kirjoittanut Raamattuun ainoatakaan jaetta, ja että JUMALA ON RAKKAUS.
"The wrath of God" is a strange expression of the Being that is said to be Love (1 John 4: 8). The writers of the Bible were all human, and "the wrath of man does not do what is right in the sight of God" (James 1: 20), that is, man's anger does not fulfill the principles of God's righteousness. When a person writes about "the wrath of God", he describes it through his own worldly and impure experiences and feelings. That is why every reader of the Bible should keep in mind that God himself did not write a single verse in the Bible, and that GOD IS LOVE.
Jumalan vihasta puhuvia tekstejä on sekä Vanhassa että Uudessa Testamentissa, mutta Uudessa huomattavasti vähemmän kuin Vanhassa. Sanakirjojen perusteella arvioin, että Uusi Testamentti sisältää vain kuudesosan Vanhan Testamentin viha-tekstien määrästä. Uskon, että asiaan on vaikuttanut Jumalan Poika, Jeshua, joka tuli ilmoittamaan Isänsä luonnetta ja olemusta omalla fyysisellä elämällään (Joh. 1: 18). Mutta Vuosituhansia kestänyt inhimillinen ajattelumalli ja opetus Jumalan vihasta ja kostavasta Jumalasta istuu tiukassa ihmisten ajattelussa. Aivopesty ihminen tarvitsee uudestisyntymistä.
There are texts about God's anger in both the Old and New Testaments, but there are significantly fewer in the New than in the Old. Based on dictionaries, I estimate that the New Testament contains only one-sixth of the number of hate texts in the Old Testament. I believe that the matter has been influenced by the Son of God, Yeshua, who came to reveal the nature and essence of his Father with his own physical life (John 1: 18). But the millennia-long human thinking and teaching about God's anger and a vengeful God sits in the strict thinking of people. A brainwashed person needs rebirth.
Jumala on rakkaus, ja Hän pelastaa. Tosiasia on kuitenkin se, että Jumalan Pojassaan tarjoama pelastus ei kelpaa kaikille ihmisille, ja siksi osa ihmisistä hukkuu. Kun lisäksi Saatanan olemassaoloa ei yleisesti tunnusteta, on selvää, että ihmisten hukkuminen, maailman tuho ja Jumalan viha laitetaan rakastavan ja vanhurskaan Jumalan piikkiin! Mutta Jeshuan opetuksen mukaan SAATANA ON MURHAAJA (Joh. 8: 44), ja hän ollut sitä ”ALUSTA ASTI”. Siis Saatanan sydämessä pesii viha, tappaminen ja tuhoaminen!
God is love, and He saves. The fact is, however, that the salvation offered by God in his Son is not suitable for all people, and therefore some people perish. In addition, when the existence of Satan is not generally recognised, it is clear that the drowning of people, the destruction of the world and the wrath of God are put on the loving and righteous God's thorn! But according to Yeshua's teaching, SATAN IS A MURDERER (John. 8: 44), and he was a murderer "FROM THE VERY BEGINNING". So in Satan's heart lies hatred, killing and destruction!
Kun Saatana on lisäksi korottanut itsensä Jumalan paikalle (Jes. 14: 13, 14) ja saanut ihmiset palvomaan itseään nimellä יהוה Jahve/Jehova, sekoitus Isä-Jumalan ja Jahven välillä on valmis!
When Satan has also exalted himself to the place of God (Isa. 14: 13, 14) and caused people to worship him as יהוה Yahweh/Jehovah, the mixture between God the Father and Yahweh is complete!
Koska minä en voi uskoa sellaiseen selitykseen, että Jeshuan Isä olisi sekä Pelastaja että Tuhoaja, pitäydyn aina Jeshuan omissa opetuksissa. Niin teen nytkin, kun kertaan itselleni, mitä Jeshua opetti oman paluunsa tapahtumista, ja millä vertauskuvilla Hän niistä puhui. Ilmestyskirjan vertaukset räiskyvät verta, mutta Jeshuan vertauksissa niin ei tapahdu.
Since I cannot believe in such an explanation that Jeshua's Father is both Saviour and Destroyer, I always stick to Yeshua's own teachings. That's what I do even now, when I repeat to myself what Yeshua taught about the events of his own return, and with what metaphors He spoke about them. The parables of the Book of Revelation spurt blood, but in Yeshua's parables that does not happen.

When Yeshua sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples asked him questions about the signs of the end of the world (Matt. 24: 3), and from the answers Yeshua gave them we can list the following points: * before the end of the world many deceivers will appear (verses 4, 5), * there will be many wars (verses 6, 7), * there are famines and earthquakes in many places (verse 7), * Yeshua's followers are persecuted and killed (verse 9), * many of the believers fall away and leave faith because of persecution (vesre 10), * many false soothsayers appear who mislead people (verse 11), * lawlessness increases and love grows cold (verse 12), * nevertheless the gospel is spread to all nations (verse 14), * there will be great tribulation (verses 15 - 22), false Christs/Messiahs will appear (verses 23 - 26), * The coming of the Son of Man is as visible and surprising as the lightning that flashes from east to west (verse 27), * the gathering of vultures around the carcass (verse 28), * signs in the sun, moon and stars (verse 29), * the coming of the Son of Man (verses 30, 31).
Korppikotkien kokoontuminen raadon ympärille kuvaa mainiosti maailman neuvonpidossa johtajia Saatanan, "tallatun raadon” (Jes. 14: 19), kanssa. Saatana yllyttää kansojen johtajat suureen vihaan ja raivoon ennen Jeshuan paluuta (1. Piet. 5. 8).
The gathering of vultures around the carcass perfectly describes the leaders of the world in consultation with Satan, "the trampled carcass" (Isa. 14: 19). Satan incites the leaders of the nations to great anger and rage before Yeshua's return (1. Pet. 5. 8).
Jeshuan tullessa koko ihmiskunta jakautuu kahteen joukkoon automaattisesti, sillä se on luonnollinen seuraus ihmisten omista valinnoista. Kuvatessaan kahta erilaista joukkoa Jeshua puhuu vertauksissaan vuohista ja lampaista (Matt. 25: 31 - 46), nisusta ja lusteesta (Matt. 13: 36 - 43). Jeshua viittasi vertauksissaan myös Nooan ja Nooan päiviin (Matt. 24: 37, 39; Luuk. 17: 26, 27) sekä Lootiin ja Lootin päiviin (Luuk. 17: 28 - 30). Kummassakin tapauksessa pyhät KOOTTIIN/pelastettiin turvaan, mutta jumalattomat JÄTETTIIN joko veden tai tulen kohteeksi. Jumala pelasti Häneen uskovat, mutta jumalattomia Hän ei voinut pelastaa Saatanan käsistä, koska he olivat itse valinneet hänet herrakseen. Sama toistuu Jeshuan paluun yhteydessä. Jeshuan vertauksissa painopiste on pelastettujen kokoamisessa turvaan, eikä niissä mässäillä jumalattomia kohtaavalla tuholla, jonka Saatana tulee hoitamaan.
When Yeshua comes, all humanity will automatically split into two groups, because it is a natural consequence of people's own choices. When describing two different groups, Yeshua speaks in his parables about goats and sheep (Matthew 25: 31 - 46), wheat and tares (Matthew 13: 36 - 43). In his parables, Yeshua also referred to Noah and the days of Noah (Matthew 24: 37, 39; Luke 17: 26, 27) and to Lot and the days of Lot (Luke 17: 28 - 30). In both cases, the saints were GATHERED/rescued to safety, but the wicked were LEFT to either water or fire. God saved those who believed in Him, but He could not save the wicked from the hands of Satan, because they themselves had chosen him as their master. The same will be repeated at the return of Yeshua. In Yeshua's parables, the emphasis is on the gathering of the saved to safety, and not on the destruction that Satan will bring upon the wicked.
Viha on Saatan joukkojen ominaisuus! Saatana vihaa ihmiskuntaa, jolle Jumala on antanut Pojassaan Portin ja Tien pelastukseen. Saatana haluaa riistää omalle tuhoon johtavalle tielleen niin monta ihmistä kuin mahdollista. ”Perkele on astunut alas teidän luoksenne pitäen suurta vihaa, koska hän tietää, että hänellä on vähän aikaa” (Ilm. 12: 12). Saatana on Vihan jumala!
Anger is a characteristic feature of Satan's forces! Satan hates mankind, for whom God has given in his Son the Gate and the Way to salvation. Satan wants to lead as many people as possible to his path of destruction. "The devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time" (Rev. 12: 12). Satan is the God of Wrath!
