John 14: 6 is one of the 21 verses with the words "I am" (Greek εγο ειμι / ego eimi) in the Gospel of John. In that text, Yeshua says ”I am the way, the truth and the life", and immediately after those words, He states that no one comes/gets to the Father except through Him. So, Yeshua is the way to the Father, but He is also the gate that leads to the Father.

But how can we find the Way, Yeshua?
The answer can be found in the context of another I am -text.
Joh. 6. luvussa Jeshua vertaa itseään elämän leipään (6: 35 ja 6: 48) ja sanoo samassa yhteydessä näin: ”ei kukaan voi tulla minun tyköni, ellei ISÄ... HÄNTÄ VEDÄ.” (6: 44)
In the 6th chapter of John, Yeshua compares himself to the bread of life (6: 35 and 6: 48) and says in the same context: no man can come to me except the FATHER... DRAWS HIM." (6: 44)
Isä, Ikuinen Oleva eli אהיה / Ehjee / Minä olen, on ensimmäinen ja tärkein tekijä ihmisen pelastamisessa.
Johannes kirjoittaa ensimmäisen kirjeensä 4. luvussa näin: ”Siinä on rakkaus - ei siinä, että me olemme rakastaneet Jumalaa, vaan siinä, että HÄN ON RAKASTANUT MEITÄ JA LÄHETTÄNYT POIKANSA MEIDÄN SYNTIEMME SOVITUKSEKSI.” (jae 10)
John writes in the fourth chapter of his first book like this: ”Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US, AND SENT HIS SON TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS.” (verse 10).

FATHER'S LOVE DRAWS man to repentance (Romans 2: 4). He is brought to the Healer himself, Yeshua. Such an incomprehensible demonstration of love is intended for every person, because it was the will of the merciful God that Yeshua had to suffer death FOR EVERY MAN (Hebrews. 2: 9), and NOT ONE who believes in Yeshua would PERISH, but would receive eternal life (John 3:16).

There is an absolutely wonderful text about the ATTRACTION of the Father's love towards his creatures also in the Old Testament. It is said in Hos. 11: 4 like this: ”I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them."

This verse from Hosea has received an incredibly beautiful translation in Finnish, I like it very much. The Hebrew text does give such an image. The text mentions the ropes/braids/bonds of love. This verse from Hosea is also one of the Old Testament texts where the word אהיה /Ehyeh / I am appears. Eternal Being One, Ehyeh, lifts the cheek/chin/head of the object of His love and lets him eat.

Yeshua said to the Samaritan woman from whom He asked for water at Jacob's spring: ”If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink: thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water... Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4: 10, 13, 14)
Eivätkö kaikki ihmisen omat pelastautumis- ja puhdistautumisyritykset ole näiden Jehsuan sanojen mukaan Jaakobin lähteen veden juomista, joka ei poista iankaikkisuuden kaipausta ja sielun janoa!
Aren't all of man's own attempts at salvation and purification, according to these words of Yehsua, drinking the water of Jacob's spring, which does not remove the longing for eternity and the thirst of the soul!

The model Lucifer gave us is to climb up ourselves. The instruction given to us by the Father is the child's part (Matt. 18: 3) and to be lifted/pulled up by His powers and means.
Tarttukaamme meille ojennettuun Käteen, joka vetää meidät ylös, tarjoaa syötäväksemme ilmaista viljaa ja juotavaksemme maksutonta viiniä ja maitoa sekä elävää vettä! Isän sanat ja lupaukset ovat luottamisen arvoiset!
Let us take hold of the Hand extended to us, that draws us up, offers us free grain to eat and free wine and milk and living water to drink! Father's words and promises are worth trusting!
