As I continued reading the book published by Reader's Digest yesterday, on pages 283 and 284 came things that raised my rage to the top. The authors either teach against their better knowledge or they have made a choice on the side of a lie.
ENSIKSI - paikkansapitämätön väite:
"Nimi JHVH tarkoittaa 'minä olen se joka olen'
Sanat, jotka Mooses kuuli palavan pensaan luona ovat hepreaksi:
אהיה אשר אהיה = ehjee asher ehjee, eli suomeksi "minä olen joka minä olen"
Sana אהיה (ehjee) on heprean olla-verbin (היה =hjh/hajah) 1. persoonan taivutusmuoto Imperfektissä, jolla ilmaistaan jatkuvaa/päättymätöntä tekemistä/toimintaa
Siis sana אהיה (ehjee) merkitsee "olen" -> minä olen
Sana אשר (asher) on relatiivipronomini "joka"
Näin ollen sanat אהיה אשר אהיה merkitsevät "(minä) olen joka (minä) olen"
JHVH on hepreaksi יהוה (kukapa tietäisi, miten se pitäisi lausua!)
Näyttääkö samanlaiselta kuin edellinen lause? Ei, ei lainkaan!
Miten ihmeessä אהיה אשר אהיה voisi olla sama kuin יהוה?
Tetragrammin muoto יהוה ei ole mikään heprean olla-verbin (hjh/hajah) konjukaatio, ei Imperfektissä eikä Perfektissä! Tetragrammi יהוה ei siis liity heprean olla-verbiin!
Meille väitetään myös, että tetragrammi on johdettu heprean verbistä הוה (hvh/havah), joka merkitsee "tulla joksikin - olla jonakin"/"jäädä paikoilleen"/"pyrkiä joksikin"/"hyötyä - tulla hyödyksi". Mutta onko todella näin?
Epäilen suunnattomasti tuota väitettä, sillä en ole löytänyt ainuttakaan varmaa vahvistusta asialle. Eräs heprean asiantuntija Helsingin yliopiston teologisesta tiedekunnasta vastasi kieltävästi suoraan kysymykseeni tetragrammin ja havah-verbin yhteydestä. Ja eräs toinen oppinut vastasi ihmettelyyni Jahve-nimestä, "Jahve on akateeminen sopimus Jumalan nimestä."
Tetragrammi יהוה eli JHVH ei merkitse myöskään "herra/Herra", sillä herra-sanan vastine on hepreassa אדון (adon/adonai).
Mikä tetragrammi sitten on, ja mitä se merkitsee?????????????????????
* Okkultismissa tetragrammia käsitellään anagrammin tapaan, ja siitä muodostetaan 12 erilaista sanaa/muotoa, jotka liitetään eläinradan 12 merkkiin.
* Lieneekö tetragrammi myös joku akronyymi, ja viittaavatko sen neljä konsonanttia neljään salattuun sanaan???????????????????
FIRST - a false claim:
The name YHWH means ' I am that I am'
The words that Moses heard at the burning bush are in Hebrew:
אהיה אשר אהיה = ehyeh asher ehyeh, or in English "I am that I am"
The word אהיה (ehyeh) is the first-person conjugation of the Hebrew be-verb (היה hjh/hajah) in the Imperfect, expressing continuous/endless doing/activity
So, the word אהיה (ehyeh) means "I am"
The word אשר (asher) is the relative pronoun "which"
Thus, the words אהיה אשר אהיה mean "I am that I am"
JHWH is in Hebrew יהוה (who would know how it should be pronounced!)
Does it look similar to the previous sentence? No, not at all!
How on earth אהיה אשר אהיה could be the same as יהוה?
יהוה, the form of the Tetragrammaton is not any conjugation of the Hebrew be-verb (hjh/hajah), neither Imperfect nor Perfect! So, the Tetragrammaton יהוה is not related to the Hebrew be-verb!
We are also told that the Tetragrammaton is derived from the Hebrew verb הוה (hvh/havah), which means "to become something - to be something"/ "to stay in place"/ "to strive for something"/ "to benefit - to be useful". But is that really the case?
I have great doubts about that argument, for I have not found a single definite confirmation of the matter. In addition, a Hebrew expert from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Helsinki answered negatively my direct question about the connection between the Tetragrammaton and the havah-verb. And another scholar responded to my wonder of the name Yahweh, "Yahweh is an agademic agreement on the name of God."
The Tetragrammaton יהוה or JHWH does not mean "lord/Lord" either, as the equivalent of lord-word in Hebrew is אדון (adon/adonai).
What is the Tetragrammaton then, and what does it mean???????????????????
* in occultism, the Tetragrammaton is treated like an anagram and it is formed into 12 different words/forms that are appended to the 12 characters of the zodiac.
* Is the Tetragrammaton also some acronym, and do its four consonants refer to the four encrypted words???????????????
TOISEKSI - vain puoliksi tosi väite:
"Evankeliumeissa sanan JHVH korvaa säännönmukaisesti kreikan kielen sana 'kyrios' eli 'Herra'."Sana 'kyrios' korvaa Uudessa Testamentissa sekä tetragrammin יהוה että heprean sanan אדון (adon/adonai = Herra), mitä nimeä opetuslapset käyttivät Jeeshuasta. Omien laskujeni mukaan Uudessa Testamentissa kreikan 'kyrios' korvaa tetragrammin 195 kertaa ja sanan adon/adonai 474 kertaa.

SECOND - only half true statement:
"In the Gospels, the word JHWH is regularly replaced by the Greek word 'kyrios' or 'Lord'."
The word 'kyrios replaces in the New Testament both the Tetragrammaton יהוה and the Hebrew word אדון (adon/adonai = Lord), which the disciples used to name Jeshua. According to my own calculations, in the New Testament, the Greek 'kyrios' replaces the Tetragrammaton 195 times and the word adon/adonai 474 times.

Phil 2: 11 in Hebrew:
וכל לשון תודה כי אדון חשוע המשיח לכבוד אלהים האב
and in English:
"And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
NOTE! The word 'Lord' is replaced by אדון (adon/adonai), and the word 'Christ' is replaced by המשיח (the Messiah)!
==> Jeshua the Messiah is Adonai/the Lord!
