Tämänkertainen kirjoitukseni sai aiheen eräästä Facebookin viestiketjusta, jossa nousi esille sana nefilim. Sana johtaa Tooraan ja Tanakiin, sillä se esiintyy kolmessa Vanhan Testamentin tekstissä, jotka ovat 1. Moos. 6: 4, 4. Moos. 13: 33 ja Hes. 32: 27.
The subject of this post was born on Facebook, where the word nephilim came forth. The word leads us to Torah and Tanakh, for it appears three times in the Old Testament; Gen. 6: 4; Num. 13: 33 and Eze. 32: 27.
Sana nefilim kirjoitetaan hepreaksi נפילים, mutta myös נפלים ilman Jodia.
1. Moos. 6: 4:ssa nefilim on käännetty sanalla "jättiläiset". Mutta nefilim-sanaa käytetään myös sellaisenaan ilman käännöstä.
The word nephilim is written in Hebrew נפילים, and also נפלים without Yod.
In Gen. 6: 4 nephilim is translated "giants". But the word nephilim is also used as such without any translation.
4. Moos. 13: 33:ssa puhutaan jättiläisistä ja Anakin jättiläisheimosta.
Kyseinen tekstikohta on hepreaksi: ושם ראינו את הנפילים בני ענק מן הנפלים, ja se voidaan kääntää
joko näin: siellä näimme nefilimejä, Anakin poikia nefilimeistä
tai näin: siellä näimme jättiläisiä, Anakin poikia jättiläisistä
In Num. 13: 33 the giants and the sons of Anak are mentioned.
The texts in Hebrew: ושם ראינו את הנפילים בני ענק מן הנפלים
translated like this: we saw there nephilims, the sons of Anak from nephilims
or like this: we saw there giants, the sons of Anak from the giants
Muinaiset jättiläiset olivat Anakin suurikokoisia ja pelottavia jälkeläisiä, jotka tunnettiin anakilaisina. Mutta merkitseekö nefilim samaa kuin jättiläiset? Gematria kyllä yhdistää näitä kahta sanaa, sillä sekä nimen ענק (anak) että sanan נפילים (nefilim) lukuarvo on 220. Tästä syystä tulee mieleen, että sana nefilim on tulkittu suurikokoisten anakilaisten mukaan tarkoittamaan jättiläisiä. Mutta onko nefilim-sanalla joku muu merkitys?
The ancient giants were tall and scary offspring of Anak called Anakis.
But does nephilim mean the same as the giants? Gematria indeed combines these two words, for the numeral value of both those words (ענק = Anak, נפילים = nephilim) is 220. Thefore it seems that the word nephilim has been interpreted to mean giants according to the tall Anakis. But does the word nephilim have another meaning, too?
Hes. 32: 27:ssa puhutaan "sankareista" (gibborim), jotka ovat "kaatuneet" (nefilim) - käännös 1933, ja "kaatuneista sankareista (gibborim nefilim) - käännös 1992. Huomaamme, että sanalla nefilim on siis myös merkitys "kaatunut/langennut/pudonnut".
In Eze. 32: 27 we read about "the mighty" (gibborim) "that are fallen" (nephilim). We can see that the word nephilim means also "fallen".
Hepreassa on aina syytä katsoa jokaisen sanan juurikirjaimet. Sanan נפילים (nefilim) kohdalla juurikirjaimet ovat נ (Nun =n), פ (Pe =p/f) ja ל (Lamed) eli נפל (napal), joka on verbi ja tarkoittaa mm. pudota/kaatua/langeta/laskeutua/kukistua. Esim. Jes. 14: 12:ssa Kointähden alias Luciferin putoaminen taivaalta ilmaistaan juuri tällä verbillä. Siksi näistä juurikirjaimista johdettu נפילים (nefilim) voidaan kääntää sanalla "(ne) pudonneet/langenneet".
In Hebrew, you should always look at the root letters of every word. The root letters of the word nephilim are נ (Nun = n), פ (Pe = p/f) and ל (Lamed = l) or נפל (napal), which is a verb meaning fall/descend. For example in Isa. 14: 12 Lucifer's fall is expressed just by this verb. Therefore the word נפילים (nephilim) derived from those root letters could be translated "(those) fallen (ones)/the fallen".
Taivaan enkeleistä lankesi kolmannes Luciferin mukana, ja heidät kaikki heitettiin alas taivaasta (Ilm. 12: 8, 9), joten he kaikki ovat taivaalta/taivaasta pudonneita. Näin ollen sanan נפילים voidaan perustellusti katsoa viittaavan langenneisiin/pudonneisiin enkeleihin. Mutta voisivatko anakilaiset olla heidän jälkeläisiään? Näinhän kerrotaan mm. apogryyfisissä Henokin kirjoissa, okkultismissa ja Kabbalassa.
One third of the angels of heaven fell with Lucifer and they were all cast down from heaven (Rev. 12: 8, 9), so they are all fallen from heaven. Therefore the word nephilim can rightly be considered to refer to fallen angels. But could the Anakis be their offsprings? This is stated at least in the Apogryphic Books of Enok, the Occult and Kabbalah.
Tällainen tulkinta on kuitenkin kyseenalaista sekä Jumalan luomistöiden että Jeshuan sanojen perusteella.
* Jumala loi ihmisen enkeleitä halvemmaksi olennoksi ja asetti enkelit palvelemaan heitä (Hebr. 1: 7). Tästä tehtävästä Luciferin joukko kuitenkin kieltäytyi. Lieneekö syynä ollut Jumalan suuri salaisuus, jonka Hän kytki ihmisyyteen luomalla kaiken Sanalla (Ps. 33: 9), joka tuli sitten lihaksi/ihmiseksi (Joh. 1: 1-3, 14), syntyi Jumalan Pojaksi voittamalla kuoleman vallan (Ps. 2:7; Ap. t. 13: 33; Room. 1: 4) ja tuli lopulta korotetuksi enkeleitä korkeammalle (Hebr. 1: 2 - 4). Ehkä Lucifer kaikessa viisaudessaan näki ja ymmärsi tuon jumalallisen suunnitelman etukäteen eikä hyväksynyt, että ketään koskaan korotettaisiin häntä ja enkeleitä korkeammalle.
* Jeshuan sanat Matt. 22: 30:ssa puhuvat sen puolesta, että enkeleille ei ole annettu kykyä lisääntyä. Näin ollen nefilimien eli langenneiden enkeleiden suhde ihmisiin on voinut olla kyllä ns. demoniseksiä, mutta ilman siittämistä ja synnyttämistä.
However, such an interpretation is questionable on the basis of both God's creations and the words of Yeshua.
* God created man to be lower than angels and set the angels to serve/minister to them (Hebrew 1: 7). However, Lucifer's group refused to do so. Maybe the reason was God's great mystery that He linked to humanity when creating everything by the Word (Ps. 33: 9), that came then in flesh/human being (John 1: 1 - 3, 14), was born to the Son of God by overcoming death (Ps. 2: 7; Acts 13: 33; Rom. 1: 4) and finally was exalted above the angels (Hebrew 1: 2 - 4). Perhaps Lucifer was wise enough to see and understand beforehand God's plan and he didn't accept that anyone should ever be exalted above him and the angels.
* The words of Yeshua in Matthew 22: 30 speak for the fact that the angels don't have the ability to multiply. Therefore the relationship of the nephilims to man may have been so called demonic sex, but without having been born and begotten.
On selvää, että langenneet enkelit ovat aina pyrkineet suhteisiin ihmisten kanssa! Jälkeläisten sijaan nefilimit ovat jakaneet ihmisille tietoa ja eritoten "pahaa tietoa", joka avautui jo Eedenin Hyvän ja pahan tiedonpuun luona. Henokin kirjoissa mainitaan astrologia ja magia nefilimien erikoisalueeksi. Salatiede on ollut ihmiskunnan kiinnostuksen kohteena kaikkina aikoina.
It's clear that fallen angels have always sought relationships with people! Instead of offsprings nephilims have distributed information/knowledge to people and specially "evil knowledge", which was already opened by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A speciality of the nephilims is mentioned in astrology and magic in the Book of Enoch. The mankind has always been interested in Secret science.
Luciferin lankeemusta seurasi Eevan ja Adamin lankeemus. Nefilimien laskeutuminen opastamaan ihmiskuntaa johti todennäköisesti suureen lankeemukseen, kun magian ja okkultismin salat alkoivat kiinnostaa jopa Jumalan palvelijoita enemmän kuin näkymättömän Jumalan palveleminen.
After the fall of Lucifer came the fall of Eve and Adam. Likely the descending of the nephilims to teach the mankind led to a great fall, when the secrets of magic and the occult began to interest even the servants of God more than the service of the invisible God.
Suuri luopumuksen aalto näkyy 6. patriarkan nimessä. Nimi ירד Jered (1. Moos. 5: 15) merkitsee laskeutua/mennä t. tulla alas/vaipua/vajota. Tämä lankeemus oli suuri ja ulottui lähes jokaiseen kotiin. Ainoastaan Nooa sai armon Jumalan edessä (1. Moos. 6: 8), ja Nooan mukana pelastui hänen perheensäkin koko maapalloa kohdanneesta tuhosta.
A great wave of apostasy is seen in the name of the 6th patriarch. The name ירד Jared (Gen. 5: 15) means go/come down/sink. This apostasy was wide reaching almost every home. Only Noah found grace before God (Gen. 6: 8), and also the whole family of Noah was saved with him from the devastation that befell the whole world.
