Uskomatonta mutta totta * Unbelievable but true

Jumalan hepreankielinen nimi  אל שדי El Shaddai esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa 48 kertaa. Joistakin noista jakeista puuttuu alkuosa אל El, mutta jokaisessa 48 jakeessa on kuitenkin sana שדי Shaddai. Suomen kielessä El Shaddaita vastaa sana Kaikkivaltias, ja tuo sana ’Kaikkivaltias’ on ihan jokaisessa 48 jakeessa.

אל שדי El Shaddai, God's name in Hebrew,  appears in the Old Testament 48 times. Some of those verses are missing the initial אל El, but each of the 48 verses still has the word שדי Shaddai. In the Finnish language, El Shaddai is equivalent to the word Kaikkivaltias, and that word ’Kaikkivaltias' is in every 48 verses.

Mutta toisin on Septuagintan vastaavissa jakeissa. Seuraava kuva paljastaa, miten heprean sana אל שדי El Shaddai käännettiin (3. ja 2. vuosisadalla eaa.) kreikaksi Septuagintaan.

But it is different in the corresponding verses of the Septuagint. The following picture reveals how the Hebrew word אל שדי El Shaddai was translated (in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BCE) into the Greek Septuagint.

Hepreassa sana אל El merkitsee ’Jumalaa’, ja sen vastine kreikassa on sana Θεος Theos. Mutta mitä merkitsee שדי Shaddai? Ellei sanan merkitystä tiedetä, olisi yksinkertaisinta, jättää se kääntämättä ja tyytyä nimeen 'Shaddai-Jumala’!

In Hebrew the word אל El means 'God', and its equivalent in Greek is the word Θεος Theos. But what does שדי Shaddai mean? If the meaning of the word is not known, it would be simplest to leave it untranslated and settle for the name 'Shaddai-God'!

Kuten kuvasta näemme אל שדי El Shaddai on käännetty 13 kertaa kreikan sanalla θεος Theos, 14 kertaa sanalla Κυριος Kyrios, 11 kertaa sanalla παντοκρατωρ Pantokrator,  kerran sanalla Θεος Σαδδαι Theos Saddai, ja 9 kertaa se on jätetty ilman varsinaista vastinetta.

As we can see from the picture אל שדי El Shaddai is translated 13 times by the Greek word θεος Theos, 14 times by the word Κυριος Kyrios, 11 times by the word παντοκρατωρ Pantokrator, once by the word Θεος Σαδδαι Theos Saddai, and 9 times it is left without an actual equivalent.

Yksinkertaisesti selkein käännös-vaihtoehto kreikaksi olisi Θεος Σαδδαι Theos Saddai (Shaddai-Jumala).

Simply, the clearest translation option in Greek would be Θεος Σαδδαι Theos Saddai (Shaddai- God).

Nimien kääntäminen ja vääntäminen tuntuu minusta omituiselta; eikö olisi parasta vain translitteroida jokainen nimi sen ääntämisen mukaan. El Shaddai- nimen kohdalla tämä olisi ollut paras vaihtoehto, koska sana ’shaddai' ei mahdollisesti perustu hepreaan, vaan sen on arveltu olevan akkadilainen laina (shadu = vuori, shadda/shaddu = vuorilla asuva => ’Vuoren/Vuorten Jumala’). Shaddai-nimen merkityksestä on käyty vilkasta keskustelua.

The twisting and turning of names seems odd to me; wouldn't it be best to just transliterate each name according to its pronunciation. For the name El Shaddai, this would have been the best option, because the word 'shaddai' is possibly not based on Hebrew, but is thought to be an Akkadian loan (shadu = mountain, shadda/shaddu = dweller in the mountains => 'God of the Mountain/Mountains'). There has been a lively discussion about the meaning of the name Shaddai.

Shaddai-sanaa lähinnä olevat heprean sanat ovat:

* שד shod = tuho, hävitys, onnettomuus, sorto, ahdistus, väkivaltainen käytös, pahuus

* שד sheed = paha henki, riivaaja

* שדד shadad = hävittää, tuhota

* שדה shidda = vaimo

* שד shad/shod = rinta, rinnat, nisä

The closest Hebrew words to Shaddai are:

* שד shod = destruction, calamity, oppression, distress, violent behaviour, evil

* שד sheed = evil spirit, demon

* שדד shadad = destroy

* שדה shidda = wife

* שד shad/shod = chest, breasts, breast

Edellä luetelluista vaihtoehdoista korkeintain viimeinen voisi tulla kysymykseen Jumalan nimeen liittyvän sanan merkityksenä, jolloin El Shaddai voisi tarkoittaa ’Kansaansa ruokkivaa Jumalaa’.

Of the alternatives listed above, at most the last one could come into question as the meaning of a word related to the name of God, in which case El Shaddai could mean 'God who feeds his people'.

Hepreassa sanojen alkuun ja loppuun liitetään alku- ja loppuliitteitä, ja yksi sellainen on myös relatiivipartikkeli ש = joka/kuka ja konjunktio ש = että. Etuliitteen jälkeen sanan rungoksi jää sana די dai = riittävä. אל שדי El Shaddai  tarkoittaisi siis ’Riittävä Jumala’/’Jumala, joka riittää’.

In Hebrew, prefixes and suffixes are added to the beginning and end of words, and one such is also the relative particle ש = which/who and the conjunction ש = that. After the prefix, the body of the word remains the word די  dai = sufficient. אל שדי El Shaddai would therefore mean 'Sufficient God'/'God who is sufficient'.

The Greek equivalent of El-Saddai's name, παντοκρατωρ pantokrator, has also sparked controversy; panto = all, and krator/krateo = to hold, stick, reach. 'Pantokrator' thus refers to the 'God who sustains everything'. Some people think that maintaining everything is different than controlling/dominating everything, and that Pantokrator does not mean the Almighty but the Sustainer of All. But if God with His Son creates and maintains everything (Col. 1: 14 - 23), of course He also with His Son rules/dominates everything!

Myöhemmin (405) Vulgatan kääntäjä, Hieronymus, on jättänyt oman leimansa El Shaddai -nimen kääntämiseen, koska hän on kääntänyt kreikan sanan pantokrator latinan sanoilla Deus Omnipotens eli Jumala Kaikkivaltias.

Later (405), Jerome, the translator of the Vulgate, has left his own stamp on the translation of the name El Shaddai, as she has translated the Greek word pantokrator with the Latin words Deus Omnipotens, or God Almighty.

Merkitseepä אל דשי El Shaddai mitä hyvänsä; Vuorten Jumalaa ("minä nostan silmäni vuoria kohti: mistä tulee minulle apu...”), 'Kansaansa ruokkivaa Jumalaa' tai 'Jumalaa, joka riittää’ kaikkiin maailmoihin, ’Kaikkivaltiasta’ tai ’Kaiken Ylläpitäjää', tuon nimen lukuarvo on kuitenkin 345, joka rinnastuu käänteisenä sanoihin אהיה אשר אהיה Ehjee asher Ehjee (lukuarvo on 543).

Whether אל דשי El Shaddai means anything; The God of the mountains ("I lift up my eyes to the mountains: where will my help come from..."), the 'God who feeds his people' or the 'God who is sufficient' for all the worlds, the 'Almighty' or the 'Sustainer of All', the numerical value of that name is, however, 345 , which parallels in reverse the words אהיה אשר אהיה  Ehyeh asher Ehyeh (numerical value is 543).

Tämän päivän nimi-tutkistelu vakuutti minua entuudestaan siitä seikasta, että Jumalan nimen kohdalla on tehty jotakin ihan käsittämättömiä asioita. Vaikuttaa siltä, että väenväkisin jollekin tietylle nimelle on haluttu jo kauan tehdä tilaa raivaamalla toiset nimet sivuun.

Today's study of the name already convinced me that some completely incomprehensible things have been done with God's name. It seems that there has been a desire to make room for a certain name by force for a long time by clearing other names aside.

Liitto ja luominen * Covenant and creation

Tällä viikolla olen iloinnut kahdesta heprean sanasta, jotka linkittyvät ainakin minun mielessäni kauniiksi sana-pariksi, ja joiden kautta rakentuu kokonainen kertomus Isän ja Pojan suorittamasta pelastus-teosta. Heprean sanat ovat ברית berith ja בריאת beriath.

This week I have been happy about two Hebrew words, which, at least in my mind, are linked into a beautiful pair of words, and through which a whole narrative of the saving work performed by the Father and the Son is built. The Hebrew words are ברית berith and בריאת beriath.

Berith ברית merkitsee liittoa, yhteistä sopimusta. Ensimmäinen Vanhassa Testamentissa mainittu liitto on Jumalan ja Nooan välinen sopimus. Nooan tuli rakentaa arkki, viedä sinne perheensä ja eläinkunnan edustajat, ja Jumala lupasi puolestaan pelastaa arkissa olevat koko maanpiirin laajuiselta tulvalta (1. Moos. 6: 16 - 22). Vedenpaisumuksen jälkeen Jumala asetti pilviin sateenkaaren liiton merkiksi... אות הברית  oth ha-perith... kaikkien maan päällä elävien kanssa (1. Moos. 9: 12 - 17)

Berith ברית signifies a covenant, a common agreement. The first covenant mentioned in the Old Testament is the covenant between God and Noah. Noah had to build an ark, take his family and the representatives of the animals there, and God promised to save those in the ark from a flood that covers the whole earth (Genesis 6: 16 - 22). After the flood, God placed a rainbow in the clouds as a sign of the covenant... אות הברית oth ha-perith... with everyone living on earth (Gen. 9: 12 - 17).

Seuraavan liiton Jumala teki Aabrahamin kanssa luvaten tälle sekä maan (1. Moos. 15: 18 - 21) että runsaasti jälkeläisiä (1. Moos. 17: 2 - 8). Liiton ehtona oli ympärileikkaus. Jumala myös lupasi vahvistaa Aabrahamin kanssa aloittamansa liiton hänen poikansa, Iisakin, kanssa, ja Jumala ilmoitti tästä jo vuotta ennen Iisakin syntymää (1. Moos. 17: 21).

God made the next covenant with Abraham, promising him both the land (Genesis 15: 18 - 21) and an abundance of descendants (Genesis 17: 2 - 8). Circumcision was a condition of the union. God also promised to confirm the covenant He started with Abraham with his son, Isaac, and God announced this already a year before Isaac was born (Genesis 17: 21).

At the beginning of the book of Exodus, it is said that "God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" (Exodus 2: 24). But when did God confirm his covenant with Jacob? The word ברית berith appears many times in connection with Abraham, but I can't find that word in Genesis even once for Jacob's name. Maybe some kind of covenant making took place in Bethel (Genesis 28: 10 -22), but then Jacob set the terms of that covenant (unlike God in Abraham's covenant). In Genesis 28: 21 there are also special and foreboding words "if I may return safely to my father and my family, the Lord... that is, Yahweh... will be my God"... ויהי יהוה לי לאלהים.

Aabrahamin kanssa liiton tehnyt Jumala ilmoitti nimekseen אל שדי, El-Shaddai (1. Moos. 17: 1), mutta Jaakob vaihtoi Jumalakseen, יהוה, Jahven (1. Moos. 28: 21). ?!

The God who made the covenant with Abraham announced his name as אל שדי, El-Shaddai (Genesis 17: 1), but Jacob changed his God to Yahweh, יהוה (Genesis 28: 21). ?!

Sana beriath בריאת tuli vastaani Ilm. 3: 14:ssa lukiessani Franz Delitzsch’in tekemää Ilmestyskirjan hepreannosta. Berith on suomennettu sanoilla ’luontokappale’ (1642/1776) ja ’luomakunta’ (1938/1992/2012), mutta sana merkitsee myös ’luominen’. Kyseisen sanan juurikirjaimet ovat ב Bet,  ר Resh ja א Alef, jotka muodostavat verbin ברא luoda, tehdä olemattomasta oleva. Kyseinen verbi toistuu ensimmäisessä luomiskertomuksessa (1. Moos. 1: 1 - 2: 3) ja ilmaisee Jumalan luomistyötä.

The word beriath בריאת came across in Rev. 3: 14 while reading Franz Delitzsch's Hebrew translation of the Book of Revelation. Berith has been translated into Finnish as 'piece of nature' (1642/1776) and ’all created' (1938/1992/2012), but the word also means 'creation'. The root letters of the word in question are ב Bet, ר Resh and א Alef, which form the verb ברא to create, to make something out of nothing. The verb in question is repeated in the first creation narrative (Genesis 1: 1 - 2: 3) and expresses God's work of creation.

The only difference between the words ברית berith and בריאת beriath is the א Aleph in the latter word. The question is of the first letter/consonant of the Hebrew alphabet, which at the beginning of the alphabet means 'first' and 'firstborn', and for its pictorial form it means 'bull' (sacrificial animal), and derived from the previous meanings, its meanings are also 'leader' (the first of the people) and 'power' (physical for the bull, mental for the leader).

Mielenkiintoisella tavalla Jeshuassa täyttyvät kaikki א Alef-kirjaimen merkitykset. Ja yhtä mielenkiintoisella tavalla Jeshuassa yhdistyvät sekä maailman luominen että Jumalan liitto ihmiskunnan kanssa.

In an interesting way, all the meanings of the letter א Alef are fulfilled in Yeshua. And in an equally interesting way, Yeshua combines both the creation of the world and God's covenant with humanity.

Karitsa * The Lamb

"Häntä piinattiin, ja Hän alistui siihen
eikä suutansa avannut;
niinkuin karitsa, joka teuraaksi viedään,
niinkuin lammas,
joka on ääneti keritsijäinsä edessä,
niin ei Hän suutansa avannut.

”He was oppressed,
and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,
so he opened not his mouth."

Miten luemme * How do we read

Ajatellessani Jeshuan suhdetta tetragrammiin mieleeni tulee suomalaisten tuntema sanonta 'vaikeneminen on kultaa’. Mietin, mikä viesti sisältyy siihen tosiasiaan, että Jeshua ei käyttänyt koskaan tuota salaperäistä kirjainyhdistelmää, יהוה!

When I think about Yeshua's relationship with the Tetragrammaton, the Finnish saying 'silence is golden' comes to my mind. I wonder what message is contained in the fact that Yeshua never used that mysterious combination of letters, יהוה!

Jeshuan äidinkieli oli aramea, jota juutalaiset puhuivat tuohon aikaan, kun Jeshua vaikutti maan päällä. Juutalaisten kielet ovat heprea ja aramea. Tutkijat arvelevat aramean olleen Aabrahamin käyttämä kieli. Mutta sanat heprea עִברִית (ivrit) ja heprealaiset עברים (ivrim) pohjautuvat kuitenkin jo Seemin pojanpojanpojan, Eeberin עהר (ever) nimeen, ja Eeber eli noin 200 vuotta ennen Aabrahamia.

Yeshua's mother tongue was Aramaic, which was spoken by the Jews at the time when Yeshua was active on earth. The languages of the Jews are Hebrew and Aramaic. Researchers think that Aramaic was the language used by Abraham. But the words Hebrew עִברִית (ivrit) and Hebrews עברים (ivrim) are already based on the name of Shem's great-grandson, Eeber עהר (ever), and Eeber lived about 200 years before Abraham.

Heprea oli kuollut kieli 200 eKr. - 200 jKr., mikä tarkoitti sitä, että juutalainen kansa ei ymmärtänyt eikä käyttänyt sitä. Tuona aikana puhuttiin arameaa, eikä Jeshua tehnyt poikkeusta.

Hebrew was a dead language from 200 BC to 200 AD, meaning it was neither understood nor used by the Jewish people. At that time, Aramaic was spoken, and Yeshua was no exception.

Uuden Testamentin arameassa ei ole ainuttakaan tetragrammia, יהוה, vaan sen paikalla lukee poikkeuksetta מריא (marya) eli Herra.

In the Aramaic of the New Testament, there is not a single Tetragrammaton, יהוה, but in its place is invariably written מריא (marya), meaning Lord.

Franz Delitzschin Uuden Testamentin hepreannoksessa tetragrammi esiintyy omien laskujeni mukaan 195 kertaa, kun heprean sana אדון (adon) eli Herra esiintyy 474 kertaa.

In the Hebrew version of Franz Delitzsch's New Testament, according to my calculations, the Tetragrammaton appears 195 times, while the Hebrew word אדון (adon) or Lord appears 474 times.

Evankelistojen (Matteus, Markus, Luukas ja Johannes) teksteissä Jeshaun puheissa ei ole lainkaan tetragrammi-herraa. Jeshua ei herroittele, sillä Hän puhuu aina ”Isästä”.

In the texts of the evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), Jeshau's speeches do not contain the Tetragrammaton at all. Yeshua does not dominate/use the Tetragrammaton, because He always speaks of "the Father".

Katsoin eilen tohtori Rocco Erricon opetusvideoita arameankielisestä Isä meidän-rukouksesta, ja olin riemuissani, koska hänen opetuksensa vahvisti oman kokemukseni Isästä. Rocco Errico kertoi mm., että arameassa ’isä’ rinnastuu sanaan ’rakastettu’. Me voimme siis rukoilla ’Rakastettumme, joka olet kaikkialla’...  אהון דבשמיא... Awoon Dwasmaya... Siitä on herroittelu kaukana! Jumala on lapsiaan rakastava Isä!

Yesterday I watched Dr. Rocco Errico's teaching videos on the Lord’s prayer in Aramaic, and I was delighted because his teaching confirmed my own experience of the Father. Rocco Errico said, for example, that in Aramaic 'father' equates to 'beloved'. So we can pray to 'Our Beloved everywhere'... אהון דבשמיא... Awoon Dwasmaya... That is far from dominating! God is the Father who loves his children!

Olessaan opetuslastensa kanssa Filippoksen Kesareassa Jeshua kysyi heiltä: ”Kenen ihmiset sanovat Ihmisen Pojan olevan?” (Matt. 16: 13 - 20; Mark. 8: 27 - 30; Luuk. 8: 18 - 22).

While with his disciples in Caesarea Philippi, Yeshua asked them: "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" (Matthew 16: 13 - 20; Mark 8: 27 - 30; Luke 8: 18 - 22).

Opetuslapset kertoivat kuulleensa, että jotkut pitivät häntä ylösnousseena Johannes Kastajana. Tämä ajatus oli todennäköisesti levinnyt Herodekselta, joka kamppaili omantunnon syytösten kanssa ja pelkäsi jotakin tuollaista tapahtuvan (Matt. 14: 2).

The disciples said they had heard that some thought he was the resurrected John the Baptist. This idea had probably spread from Herod, who struggled with the accusations of his conscience and feared something like that would happen (Matthew 14:2).

Toiset ihmiset arvelivat kuulemma, että Jeshua olisi joku Vanhan Testamentin ajan profeetoista. Erityisesti Elia tuli heidän mieleensä ilmeisesti siitä syystä, että Elia ei maistanut lainkaan kuolemaa, vaan hänet otettiin tuulenpyörteessä taivaaseen (2. Kun. 2: 1 - 18).

Other people reportedly thought that Yeshua was one of the prophets of the Old Testament. Especially Elijah came to their mind apparently because Elijah did not taste death at all, but was taken up in a whirlwind to heaven (2 Kings 2: 1 - 18).

Niin paljon kuin Vanhassa Testamentissa toistetaan tetragrammia (6828 kertaa) ja sillä viitataan milloin Jumalaan milloin Jumalan Poikaan, kenenkään ihmisen mieleen ei sattunut tulemaan ajatus, että Jeshua olisi Jahve/Jehova!

As much as the Tetragrammaton is repeated in the Old Testament (6828 times) and it refers sometimes to God and sometimes to the Son of God, no one thought that Yeshua was Yahweh/Jehovah!

Sellainen ajatus ei tullut myöskään oikean vastauksen antaneen Simon Pietarin mieleen. Mutta miten tuo kouluja ja akatemioita käymätön kalastaja osasi antaa ainoan oikean vastauksen: ”Sinä olet Kristus, elävän Jumalan Poika”... arameaksi: משיחא ברה דאלהא היא

Such a thought neither occurred to Simon Peter, who gave the correct answer to Yeshua. But how could that fisherman, who did not attend schools and academies, give the only correct answer: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God"... in Aramaic: משיחא ברה דאלהא היא

Kristus eli Voideltu on arameaksi ja hepreaksi Messias. Jakeita, joissa kyseinen sana esiintyy, löytyy hepreankielisestä Vanhasta Testamentista 39 kappaletta. Valtaosa niistä viittaa kuitenkin Israelin ylipappeihin, patriarkkoihin ja kuninkaisiin.

Christ, or the Anointed One, is Messiah in Aramaic and Hebrew. There are 39 verses in the Hebrew Old Testament where the word in question appears. However, the majority of them refer to Israel's high priests, patriarchs and kings.

Luonnollisesti Jeshua on enemmän kuin yksikään juutalainen pappi, patriarkka tai kuningas, ja oikeastaan kaikki messias-tekstit ovat toteutuneet myös Hänessä. Mutta Danielin ennustus (Dan. 9: 25, 26)  koskee puhtaimmillaan ainoastaan Jumalan Voideltua, Maailman Vapahtajaa.

Naturally, Yeshua is more than any Jewish priest, patriarch or king, and in fact all messianic texts have also been fulfilled in Him. But Daniel's prophecy (Dan. In 9: 25, 26) is in its purest form only about God's Anointed One, the Saviour of the World.

Arameassa on runsaasti ns. messias-tekstejä, vaikka meidän vastaavissa käännöksissä ei ole sanaa Voideltu tai Messias/Kristus. Tällainen teksti on esimerkiksi 1. Moos. 49: 10, joka puhuu Messiaskuninkaasta.

Aramaic has a lot of so-called messiah texts, although our respective translations do not have the word Anointed or Messiah/Christ. Such a text is, for example, Genesis 49: 10, which speaks of the Messiah King.

Pietari oli mitä ilmeisimmin lukenut aramean tekstejä tarkoin!

Peter had most obviously read the Aramaic texts carefully!

Jeshuan ja Pietarin Filippoksen Kesareassa käymästä keskustelusta tulee mieleen ihmisten esittäytyminen toisilleen. Pietari sanoi Jeshualle:” Sinä olet Messias, elävän Jumalan Poika”... אנת הו משיחא ברה דאלהא היא. Ja Jeshua kutsui Pietaria nimellä: ”Shimeon, Joonan poika”...  שמיון ברה דיונא

The conversation between Yeshua and Peter in Caesarea Philippi reminds me of people introducing themselves to each other. Peter said to Yeshua: "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God"... אנת הו משיחא ברה דאלהא היא. And Yeshua called Peter by the name : “Shimeon, the son of Jonah”... שמיון ברה דיונא

Pietaria kutsutaan Uudessa testamentissa myös arameankielisellä nimellä Keefa כאפא (Joh. 1: 42; 1. Kor. 3: 22; 9: 5; 15: 5; Gal. 2: 11) Nimi ”Pietari” tulee meidän kieleemme kreikan sanasta πετρος petros.

In the New Testament, Peter is also called by the Aramaic name Keefa/Cephas כאפא (John 1: 42; 1. Cor. 3: 22; 9: 5; 15: 5; Gal. 2: 11) The name "Peter" comes to our language from the Greek word πετρος petros.

Sekä aramean כאפא Keefa että kreikan πετρος Petros merkitsevät kalliota. Mutta aramean tekstissä käytetään myös Jeshuasta/Messiaasta sanaa כאפא keefa (1. Kor. 10: 4). Niinpä Jeshua sanoi Pietarille seurakuntansa rakentamisesta näin: דאנת הו כאפא ועל הדא כאפא... että sinä olet keefa, ja TÄMÄN keefan päälle minä rakennan seurakuntani.

Both the Aramaic כאפא Keefa and the Greek πετρος Petros mean rock. But the Aramaic text also uses the word כאפא keefa for Yeshua/Messiah (1. Cor. 10: 4). So Yeshua said to Peter about building his church/congregation like this: דאנת הו כאפא ועל הדא כאפא ... that you are a keefa, and on THIS keefa I will build my church/congregation.

Sanoiko Jeshua rakentavansa seurakuntansa Simon Pietarin varaan? Ei todellakaan! Kun on kaksi kalliota; tämä kallio ja tuo kallio, tämä kallio on aina puhuvaa osapuolta lähempänä kuin tuo toinen kallio.

Did Yeshua say he would build his church/congregation on Simon Peter? Not really! When there are two rocks; this rock and that rock, this rock is always closer to the speaking one than that other rock.

Pietari ei varmasti kuvitellut mitään sellaista, mitä meille on opetettu näiden Jeshuan sanojen pohjalta. Pietari tiesi, mitä aramean tekstissä (1. Moos. 49: 10) sanotaan Messiaasta, jonka hän oli juuri tunnistanut seisovan edessään: ei siirry valtikka pois Juudalta eikä hallitsijan sauva hänen polviensa välistä, kunnes Messiaskuninkaan aika tulee, Hänen, jolle kuninkuus kuuluu, Hänelle kaikki kuningaskunnat ovat alamaisia.

Peter certainly did not imagine anything that we have been taught based on these words of Yeshua. Peter knew what the Aramaic text (Genesis 49: 10) says about the Messiah, whom he had just recognised standing before him: the sceptre shall not pass from Judah, nor the ruler's sceptre from between his knees, until the time of the Messiah King comes, to whom the kingdom belongs, to Him all kingdoms are subjects.

1. Moos. 49: 10 Targum Jonathanin mukaan:

Genesis 49:10 according to Targum Jonathan:

לָא פַּסְקִין מַלְכִין וְשַׁלִיטִין מִדְבֵית יְהוּדָה וְסַפְרִין מֵאַלְפֵי אוֹרַיְיתָא מִזַרְעֵיהּ עַד זְמַן דִי יֵיתֵי מַלְכָּא מְשִׁיחָא
זְעֵיר בְּנוֹי וּבְדִילֵיהּ יִתְיַמְסוּן עַמְמַיָא

Kuninkaat eivät lopu, eivätkä hallitsijat Jehudan/Juudan suvusta, eivät opettajat, jotka opettavat lakia hänen siemenestään, siihen asti, kun Messias-kuningas tulee, nuorin hänen pojistaan (Juudan pojista); ja hänen tähtensä kansat virtaavat yhteen.

Kings shall not cease, nor rulers, from the house of Jehuda/Judah, nor sapherim/teachers teaching the law from his seed, till the time that the King the Messiah, shall come, the youngest of his sons; and on account of him shall the peoples flow together.

Messias elää ikuisesti, Jeshua on ylösnoussut ja Hän on yhtä ikuinen kuin Isä. Mutta Pietari odottaa vielä ylösnousemustaan. Jumalan seurakunta ja ikuinen valtakunta voi rakentua vain ikuisesti elävän Jeshua Messiaan varaan!

The Messiah lives forever, Yeshua is resurrected and He is as eternal as the Father. But Peter is still awaiting for his resurrection. God's congregation and eternal kingdom can only be built on Yeshua the Messiah, who lives for ever!

Kreikan tekstissä Jeshua kutsuu Simon Pietaria/Keefaa nimellä πετρος Petros, ja seurakuntansa kalliota Hän kutsuu nimellä πετρα PETRA. Sanovatpa paavit mitä hyvänsä, Pietari, Petros, ei ole Jumalan seurakunnan perustus vaan itse Jumalan Poika, PETRA! Petros ei ole sama kuin Petra!

In the Greek text, Yeshua calls Simon Peter/Cepha as πετρος Petros, and the rock of his congregation He calls πετρα PETRA. No matter what the popes say, Peter, Petros, is not the foundation of God's congregation, but Petra, the Son of God himself! Petros is not the same as Petra!

Pyhä Kaksikko * The Holy Duo

Ylimmäispapillisessa rukoukessaan Jeshua antoi opetuslapsilleen avaimet iankaikkiseen elämään. Tämä rukous ajoittui juuri ennen kuin Hänet vangittiin ja vietiin Hannaan eteen kuulusteltavaksi.

In his high priestly prayer, Yeshua gave his disciples the keys to eternal life. This prayer was just before He was captured and taken to Hannah for questioning.

Jeshua pyysi Isää kirkastamaan itsensä, jotta Hän voisi kirkastaa Isänsä, ja puhui Isälle siitä vallasta, jonka Isä oli Hänelle antanut, jotta Hän voisi pelastaa koko maailman. Sitten Jeshua sanoi, mitä iankaikkinen elämä on, ja miten se saavutetaan, Joh. 17: 3:

Yeshua asked the Father to glorify Himself so that He could glorify His Father, and spoke to the Father about the authority that the Father had given Him so that He could save the whole world. Then Yeshua said what eternal life is, and how to attain it, John 17:3:

KJV: ”And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

Jeshuan rukouksen mukaan ihmiskunnan pelastus seisoo siis kahden pilarin varassa; Isän ja Pojan yhteistyössä on pelastuksemme tukipylväät. Tästä on symbolinen kuva myös Vanhassa Testamentissa. Lainarkin kantena toimivan armoistuimen molemmilla puolilla seisovat kaksi kerubia edustavat samaa totuutta (2. Moos. 25: 18 - 22). Isä ja Poika valvovat Taivasten Valtakunnan lakia ja ihmisten maallista elämää jakaen armoa ja anteeksiantamusta jokaiselle, joka tunnustaa rikkomuksensa Jumalan edessä ja haluaa hylätä väärät tiensä (Sanal. 28: 30).

According to Yeshua's prayer, the salvation of mankind therefore rests on two pillars; the cooperation of the Father and the Son are the pillars of our salvation. There is also a symbolic picture of this in the Old Testament. The two cherubs standing on both sides of the mercy seat, which serves as the lid of the ark, represent the same truth (Exodus 25: 18 - 22). The Father and the Son supervise the law of the Kingdom of Heaven and the earthly life of people, distributing mercy and forgiveness to everyone who confesses his transgression before God and wants to abandon his wrong ways (Prov. 28: 30).

Isän ja Pojan yhteystyöstä ihmiskunnan pelastusoperaatiossa kertovat myös ne voimalliset sanat, jotka Mooses kuuli palavasta pensaasta. אהיה אשר אהיה,  ehjee asher ehjee, olen joka olen (2. Moos. 3: 14) tunnetaan jopa okkultismissa nimellä ”double power” eli kaksoisvoima. Koska Isä, Ehjee-Jumala, ei kuole milloinkaan, Hän varmisti Poikansa heräämisen kuolemasta ja Hänen elämänsä jatkumisen ikuisesti (Ap.t. 2: 24; Room. 4: 24; 6: 4; 7: 4; 8: 11, 34; 10: 9; 1. Kor. 6: 14; 15: 15, 16, 17; Gal.1: 1; 2. Tim. 2: 8; 1. Piet. 1: 13)!

The powerful words that Moses heard from the burning bush also tell about the connection between the Father and the Son in the mission to save humanity. אהיה אשר אהיה, ehyeh asher ehyeh, I am that I am (Exodus 3: 14) is even known in occultism as "double power". Since the Father, the Eternal God, never dies, He ensured the resurrection of His Son from death and the continuation of His life forever (Acts 2: 24; Rom. 4: 24; 6: 4; 7: 4; 8: 11, 34; 10: 9; 1 Cor. 6: 14; 15: 15, 16, 17; Gal. 1: 1; 2 Tim. 2: 8; 1 Pet. 1: 13)!

Arkki ja armoistuin kerubeineen sijoitettiin aikanaan kuningas Salomon rakennuttaman temppelin Kaikkeinpyhimpään. Temppelin eteishalliin Salomo teetätti tyyrolaisella Hiiramilla kaksi vaski-/pronssipylvästä, joiden korkeus oli sama kuin temppelin korkeus (1. Kun. 7: 13 - 22).

The ark and mercy seat with cherubims were once placed in the Holy of Holies of the temple built by King Solomon. In the temple's vestibule, Solomon, with Hiram from Tyre, placed two copper/bronze pillars, the height of which was the same as the height of the temple (1 Kings 7: 13 - 22).

Noille kahdelle valtavalle pylväälle annettiin jopa nimet. Oikealle puolelle sijoitettu pylväs oli nimeltään יכין Jakin, ja vasemmalle puolelle sijoitettu oli  בעז Boas. Nämä molemmat nimet mainitaan Vanhassa Testamentissa myös henkilöiden niminä.

Those two huge columns were even given names. The pillar placed on the right side was called יכין Jakin, and the one placed on the left side was בעז Boaz. Both of these names are also mentioned in the Old Testament as names of persons.

Boas lienee näistä kahdesta nimestä tutumpi; hän oli Ruutin sukulunastaja (Ruut 2. luku), ja Boaksen ja Ruutin poika, Oobed, oli kuningas Daavidin isän (Iisain) isä ja siis Salomon isoisän isä.

Boas is probably the more familiar of the two names; he was Ruth's kinsman (Ruth chapter 2), and the son of Boaz and Ruth, Obed, was the father of King David's father (Isaiah) and thus the father of Solomon's grandfather.

Jakin oli Jaakobin pojan Simeonin poika (1.Moos. 46: 10). Mahtoiko Jaakobin Simeonille ja Leeville yhteisesti lausumat (siunaus)sanat koskea myös heidän jälkipolvia; nimittäin Jaakob ei yhtynyt Simeonin ja Leevin juoniin, ja hän kirosi heidän vihansa (1. Moos. 49: 5 - 7).

Jachin was the son of Jacob's son Simeon (Gen. 46: 10). Could the (blessing) words spoken by Jacob to Simeon and Levi apply to their descendants as well; namely, Jacob did not join Simeon's and Levi's plot, and he cursed their hatred (Gen. 49: 5 - 7).

Nimi בעז Boas merkitsee ”voimassa”, sillä ב on prepositio -ssa, ja עז ots,  merkitsee ’voima’. Jesaja kirjoittaa אלהי היה עזי ”Jumala on tullut voimakseni” (Jes. 49: 5). Jotkut kääntävät Boas-nimen sanoilla ’hänessä on voima’. Samoilla konsonanteilla kirjoitetaan myös sana עז ets, joka merkitsee ’vuohi’, joka oli yksi niistä uhrieläimistä, joita Jumala pyysi Aabrahamilta tehdessään liiton hänen kanssaan (1. Moos. 15: 9).

The name בעז Boas means 'in power', as ב is a preposition ’in,' and עז ots, means 'power'. Isaiah writes אלהי היה עזי "God has become my strength/power" (Is. 49: 5). Some translate the name Boas as 'he has power'. With the same consonants, the word עז ets is also written, which means 'goat', which was one of the sacrificial animals that God asked of Abraham when He made a covenant with him (Genesis 15:9).

Nimi יכין Jakin tuskin merkitsee ’hän lujittaa/vahvistaa’, vaikka Raamatun marginaalissa on niin sanottu. Lujittaa/vahvistaa on hepreaksi חזק chazaq. Verbi יכה jakah merkitsee (Niphalissa) ’käydä oikeutta keskenään’/’selvitellä asiaa’/’osoittautua viattomaksi’, (Hiphilissä) ’nuhdella’/’ojentaa’/’vaatia tille’/’rankaista’, (Hophalissa) ’tulla nuhdelluksi’/’ saada ojennusta’. Nämä merkitykset tuovat mieleen kyllä Simeonin ja hänen sukunsa tekemiset!

The name יכין Jakin hardly means 'he strengthens', although it says so in the margin of the Bible. To strengthen is חזק chazaq in Hebrew. The verb יכה jakah means (in Niphal) 'to do justice to each other'/'to find out'/'to prove innocent', (in Hiphil) 'to reprimand'/'to hand out'/'to demand'/'to punish', (in Hophal) 'to be reprimanded' /' to get stretched'. These meanings do bring to mind what Simeon and his family did!

Kertomuksessa Ruutista ja Boaksesta esiintyy mielenkiintoisella tavalla myös sana אהיה ehjee yhdessä kieltosanan (לא loo) kanssa (Ruut 2: 13). Ruut ei kokenut itseään (לא אהיה) yhdenkään Boaksen palvelijattaren veroiseksi. Tämä muistuttaa niitä tuntemuksia, joita syntinsä tähden kamppaileva ihminen kokee pyhän Jumalan edessä.

In the story of Ruth and Boaz, the word אהיה ehjee also appears in an interesting way together with the prohibition word (לא loo) (Rut 2: 13). Ruth did not consider herself (לא אהיה) to be like any of Boaz's handmaidens. This resembles the feelings that a person struggling because of sins experiences before a holy God.

The meanings of the name Jakin/the verb jakah refer to the trial between the sinner and God and the wiping away of sins, which the prophet Isaiah also writes about (Is. 1: 8, 16 - 20). But if people do not agree to God's rebuke and call, it will be really bad for them. Then God will become for them לא אהיה loo-ehyeh, (not your God) and they will be לא עני loo-ammi (not my people), as happened to God's people in Hosea's days (Hos. 1: 9).

Ilmestyskirjassa Johannes esittelee kaksi istujaa taivaallisella valtaistuimella; Isä (Ilm. 4: 1) ja Poika, jota Johannes kuvaa Karitsana (Ilm. 3: 21; 22: 1, 3). Myös itse Jeshua sanoi palatessaan istuvansa Voiman/Isän oikealla puolella (Matt. 26: 64 tässä הגבורה... hepreassa on monta voima-sanaa). Isä on pelastussuunnitelman VOIMA, ja Poika VAHVISTAA Jumalan Valtakunnan omalla toiminnallaan.

In the Book of Revelation, John presents two sitting on the heavenly throne; The Father (Rev. 4: 1) and the Son, whom John describes as the Lamb (Rev. 3: 21; 22: 1, 3). Yeshua himself also said when he returned that he would sit at the right hand of the Power/Father (Matthew 26: 64 here הגבורה... there are many power-words in Hebrew). The Father is the POWER of the plan of salvation, and the Son STRENGTHENS the Kingdom of God by his own actions.

According to the revelation of the Bible, our salvation therefore rests on two pillars; To Father and Son. However, in Christianity we swear by the name of the Trinity; three gods who are one. It sounds funny, but it is said that King Solomon sent the king of Tyre, Souron, one pillar as a gift, while Hiram, whom he sent, made two pillars in Solomon's temple. Appropriate symbolism in that too!

Johannes näki Jumalan valtaistuimella ainoastaan kaksi istujaa. Jumalan valtaistuimen edessä paloi seitsemän tulisoihtua, jotka edustavat Jumalan seitsemää henkeä (vrt. Jes. 11: 2). Siis ei yksi henki vaan seitsemän! (pyhä kolminaisuus paisuu).

John saw only two who were sitting on God's throne. In front of God's throne, seven torches of fire were burning, which represent the seven spirits of God (cf. Isa. 11: 2). So not one spirit, but seven! (the holy trinity swells).

Mitä nämä seitsemän henkeä voivat olla? Johannes antaa selityksen jo Ilmestyskirjan ensimmäisessä luvussa. Siinä Ihmisen poika käyskentelee seitsemän lampunjalan keskellä. Seitsemän tulisoihtua ja seitsemän lampunjalkaa kuvaavat samaa asiaa; seitsemää seurakuntaa. Jumalan seurakunta on rakennettu Messias/Kristus-kalliolle (Matt. 16: 18), ja Jeshua on seurakunnan pää (Ef. 1: 22; 4: 4; 5: 23; Kol. 1: 18; 2: 19) ja Jeshuassa Jumalan lapset rakentuvat Jumalan asumukseksi Hengessä (Ef. 2: 22).

What could these seven spirits be? John gives an explanation already in the first chapter of the Book of Revelation. In it the Son of Man walks among the seven lampstands. The seven fire torches and the seven lampstands describe the same thing; seven churches. God's church is built on the Messiah/Christ rock (Matthew 16: 18), and Yeshua is the head of the church (Eph. 1: 22; 4: 4; 5: 23; Col. 1: 18; 2: 19) and in Yeshua God's children are built into God's habitation in the Spirit (Eph. 2: 22).

Pelastussuunnitelma on alituisesti Isän ”työpöydällä” Hänen edessään, ja Hän toimii jatkuvasti ihmiskunnan pelastamiseksi, sillä Siion on Hänen silmäteränsä (Sak. 2: 8). ”Jumalan asumus Hengessä” rakentuu Hänen käsiensä kautta Jeshuassa, joka jakaa lapsilleen Hengen lahjoja ja hengen hedelmiä.

The plan of salvation is always on the Father's ”desk” before Him, and He is constantly working to save humanity, for Zion is the apple of His eye (Zech. 2: 8). "God's dwelling/habitation in the Spirit" is built through His hands in Yeshua, who distributes the gifts of the Spirit and the fruits of the Spirit to his children.
