Koska masoreettien kymmenen erilaista tetragrammin vokalisaatiota viittaavat nimenomaan äänneasuun Jehova (kts. "Sekava signeeraus"), on syytä analysoida juuri tuo tetragrammin muoto.
Nimen loppuosahan on tuttu HOVA ... hepreaksi הוה ja חוה eli eeva/nainen.
