Jumalan Poika * The Son of God

Kun enkeli Gabriel ilmoitti  Mirjamille (מרים = MIRYAM) Jeshuan syntymän, hän sanoi, että Korkeimman voimasta syntyvä lapsi "on pyhä, ja häntä kutsutaan Jumalan Pojaksi” (Luuk. 1: 35).

When the angel Gabriel announced to Miriam (מרים = MIRYAM) the birth of Yeshua, he said that the child to be born of the power of the Most High will be holy, and will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35).

Johannes Kastaja, joka Jordanin rannalla kastoi ihmisiä parannukseen, tunnisti serkkunsa, Mirjamin pojan, ”Jumalan Karitsaksi”(Joh. 1: 29) ja ”Jumalan Pojaksi” (Joh. 1: 34),  ja hän tunnusti olevansa arvoton edes avaamaan serkkunsa kengännauhoja (Joh. 1: 27).

John the Baptist, who baptised people on the banks of the Jordan River to repentance, identified his cousin, the son of Miriam, as “the Lamb of God” (John 1:29) and “the Son of God” (John 1:34), and he confessed that he was unworthy even to untie his cousin’s shoelaces (John 1:27).

Perkele ei kuunnellut hyvillä mielin Johannes Kastajan julistusta Jeshuasta, sillä hän otti Jeshuan erämaahan kiusattavakseen. Siellä Perkele kyseenalaisti Johannes Kastajan väkevät sanat Jeshuan korkeasta nimestä. Kahteen eri kertaan hän sanoi Jeshualle ”JOS olet Jumalan Poika...” (Matt. 4: 3, 6). Kolmannella kerralla Perkele vaati Jeshuaa jo maahan kumartamalla tunnustamaan, että Perkele on ainakin tämän maan/Maan hallitsija (Matt. 4: 9).

The devil did not listen to John the Baptist's proclamation of Yeshua with pleasure, for he took Yeshua into the wilderness to be tempted. There the devil questioned John the Baptist's strong words about Yeshua's high name. On two separate occasions he said to Yeshua, "IF you are the Son of God..." (Matthew 4:3, 6). On the third occasion the devil demanded that Yeshua bow down to the ground and acknowledge that the devil is at least the ruler of this earth/Earth (Matthew 4:9).

Kuitenkin Perkeleen alaisille; demoneille, saastaisille hengille ja riivatuille (Matt. 8: 29; Mark. 3: 11; 5: 7; Luuk. 8: 28) oli täysin selvää, että Jeshua on Jumalan Poika, vaikka heidän herransa, Perkele, ei itse halunnut sitä tunnustaa huolimattta siitä, että hän takuuvarmasti tiesi asian oikean laidan. Olihan hän käyskennellyt kerran kerubina, nuhteettomuutensa tilassa, taivaan ”säihkyvien kivien keskellä” (Hes. 28: 14, 15) Jumalan valtaistuimen läheisyydessä (Ilm. 4: 1 - 11; 21: 9 - 27), ja varmasti tiesi, että Isällä on myös Poika.

However, to the Devil's subjects; demons, unclean spirits and possessed ones (Matt. 8:29; Mark 3:11; 5:7; Luke 8:28) it was perfectly clear that Yeshua is the Son of God, even though their master, the Devil, himself did not want to acknowledge it despite the fact that he certainly knew the truth of the matter. After all, he had once walked as a cherub, in his state of integrity, in the "middle of the fiery stones" of heaven (Ezek. 28:14, 15) near the throne of God (Rev. 4:1-11; 21:9-27), and certainly knew that the Father also had a Son.

Samanlainen totuuden kieltämisen henki oli täyttänyt myös ylipappi Kaifaan ja juutalaisten suuren neuvoston jäsenten mielet. He halusivat kuulla Jeshualta itseltään suoran tunnustuksen siitä, kuka Hän on, ja mitä Hän oli sanonut alkuperästään (Matt. 26: 57- 68; Luuk. 22: 66 - 71; Joh. 18: 19 - 24). Jeshuan inhimillinen syntyperä Mirjamin ja Joosefin poikana oli juutalaisten uskonto-oppineiden mielestä mahdotonta yhdistää Jumalaan.

A similar spirit of denial had also filled the minds of the high priest Caiaphas and the members of the Jewish Sanhedrin. They wanted to hear from Yeshua a direct confession of who He was and what He had said about His origin (Matthew 26:57-68; Luke 22:66-71; John 18:19-24). Yeshua’s human lineage as the son of Miriam and Joseph was, in the opinion of the Jewish religious scholars, impossible to connect with God.

Ylipapin vannottaessa Jeshuaa elävän Jumalan kautta vastaamaan neuvoston edessä, onko Hän Messias (Kristus), Jumalan Poika, Jeshua antoi heille väkevän vastauksen, johon Hän sisällytti sekä jumalalliset että inhimilliset juurensa: ”tästedes (=vastaisuudessa) te saatte nähdä IHMISEN POJAN istuvan VOIMAN (= JUMALAN) oikealla puolella ja tulevan taivaan pilvien päällä” (Matt. 26: 64). Tämä vastaus vahvisti Jeshuan kuolemantuomion neuvoston jäsenten mielissä; Hänet oli ristiinnaulittava.

When the high priest sweared Yeshua by the living God to answer before the council whether He was the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God, Yeshua gave them a powerful answer, in which He incorporated both His divine and human roots: “Hereafter (=in the future) you will see the SON OF MAN sitting at the right hand of POWER (=GOD) and coming on the clouds of heaven” (Matt. 26:64). This answer confirmed Yeshua’s death sentence in the minds of the council members; He was to be crucified.

Kun Pilatus ei löytänyt Jeshuasta mitään syytä juutalaisten vaatimalle ristiinaulitsemiselle, Pilatus kehoitti juutalaisia suorittamaan vaatimansa rangaistustuomion itse. Silloin juutalaiset vetosivat lakiinsa, jonka mukaan Jeshuan piti kuolla, koska Hän oli heidän mielestään vain väittänyt olevansa Jumalan Poika (Joh. 19: 5 - 7) olematta sitä todellisesti, eli he syyttivät Jeshuaa valehtelusta ja teeskentelystä, ja heidän lakinsa kielsi väärän todistuksen antamisen.

When Pilate found no reason for Yeshua to be crucified as demanded by the Jews, Pilate urged the Jews to carry out the punishment they had demanded. Then the Jews invoked their law, according to which Yeshua should die because, in their opinion, He had only claimed to be the Son of God (John 19:5-7) without actually being, or they accused Yeshua of lying and hypocrisy, and their law forbade giving false testimony.

Golgatalla ristin ympärille kokoontuneet ihmiset toistivat Perkeleen lausetta ”JOS sinä olet Jumalan Poika...” (Matt. 27: 40, 43). Kaikki saatanallinen pilkka ja epäuskon täyttämät lauseet olivat kuitenkin tehottomia, sillä ne eivät kyenneet katkaisemaan Pojan uskoa Isään. Kuolemansa hetkellä Jeshua lausui Isälle: ”Isä, sinun käsiisi minä annan henkeni” (Luuk. 23: 46).

The people gathered around the cross at Calvary repeated the Devil's phrase, "IF you are the Son of God..." (Matthew 27:40, 43). However, all the satanic mockery and unbelief-filled phrases were ineffective, for they could not break the Son's faith in the Father. At the moment of his death, Yeshua said to the Father: "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit" (Luke 23:46).

Mutta siellä seisoi kuitenkin yksi mies, johon Golgatan tapahtumat tekivät suuren vaikutuksen. Tuossa demonihenkien kiihottamassa hetkessä Manlius (?), roomalainen sadanpäämies, tunnusti uskonsa ja sanoi ääneen: ”Totisesti tämä oli Jumalan Poika” (Matt. 27: 54; Mark. 15: 39), ”tämä oli vanhurskas/viaton mies” (Luuk. 23: 47). Yksi pakana löysi Pelastajansa!

But there stood one man who was deeply impressed by the events of Calvary. In that moment, stirred by demonic spirits, Manlius (?), a Roman centurion, confessed his faith and cried out, “Truly this was the Son of God” (Matt. 27:54; Mark 15:39), "This was a righteous/innocent man" (Luke 23:47). A Gentile had found his Saviour!

Uudessa Testamentissa ei mainita kovinkaan monta juutalaista, jotka olisivat tunnustaneet Jeshuan Jumalan Pojaksi, mutta sentään muutama nimi löytyy. Opetuslapsista Natanael tunnusti Jeshuan Jumalan Pojaksi jo ensitapaamisella (Joh. 1: 43 - 49). Yön pimeydessä veden päällä kävelevää Mestariaan aaveeksi luulleet opetuslapset tunnustivat: ”Totisesti sinä olet Jumalan Poika” (Matt. 14: 22 - 33). Aina valmis Pietari tunnusti Jeshuan sekä Jumalan Pojaksi (Matt. 16: 16) että ”Jumalan Pyhäksi” (Joh. 6: 69). Muista Jumalan Pojan tunnustaneista juutalaisista mainitaan ainoastaan sokeana syntynyt mies, jonka Jeshua paransi eräänä sapattina (Joh. 9: 13 - 41) ja Lasaruksen sisar, Martta (Joh. 11. 27), jotka molemmat olivat saaneet kokea henkilökohtaisesti Jeshualta suuren ihmeteon.

The New Testament does not mention many Jews who acknowledged Yeshua as the Son of God, but at least a few names are found. Among the disciples, Nathanael acknowledged Yeshua as the Son of God at their first meeting (John 1:43-49). The disciples, who mistook their Master walking on the water in the darkness of the night for a ghost, confessed: “Truly you are the Son of God” (Matthew 14:22-33). The ever-ready Peter acknowledged Yeshua as both the Son of God (Matthew 16:16) and “the Holy One of God” (John 6:69). Of the other Jews who acknowledged the Son of God, only the man born blind, whom Yeshua healed on one Sabbath (John 9:13-41), and Lazarus’ sister, Martha (John 11:27), both of whom had personally experienced a great miracle from Yeshua, are mentioned.

Jeshua kutsui itseään Jumalan Pojaksi puhuessaan Nikodeemuksen kanssa (Joh. 3: 1 - 21), todistaessaan Jumalan Pojan vallasta herättää kuolleet kahdessa eri ylösnousemuksessa (Joh. 5: 19 - 29), antaessaan Lasaruksen herättämisen hetken viipyä (Joh. 11: 1 - 4) ja ihmetellessään, miksi Hänen katsotaan pilkkaavan Jumalaa sanoessaan olevansa Jumalan Poika, vaikka juutalaisten Toorassa kutsutaan profeettojakin tuolla samalla nimellä (Joh. 10: 35, 36).

Yeshua called himself the Son of God when speaking with Nicodemus (John 3:1-21), when testifying about the power of the Son of God to raise the dead in two separate resurrections (John 5:19-29), when allowing the moment to linger for the raising of Lazarus (John 11:1-4), and when wondering why He was considered blaspheming God when He said He was the Son of God, even though the prophets in the Jewish Torah are called by that same name (John 10:35, 36).

Johanneksen evankeliumin loppupuolella todetaan, että kaikista Jeshuan ihmeteoista vain osa on kirjoitettu ylös, mutta se mitä on kirjoitettu, on tallennettu siitä syystä, että ME USKOISIMME, että Jeshua on Messias, JUMALAN POIKA, ja että meillä olisi ELÄMÄ HÄNEN NIMESSÄNSÄ (Joh. 20: 30, 31).

Towards the end of the Gospel of John it is stated that only a part of all the miracles of Yeshua were written down, but what is written was recorded for the reason that WE WOULD BELIEVE that Yeshua is the Messiah, the SON OF GOD, and that we would have LIFE IN HIS NAME (John 20:30, 31).
