Ettemme eksyisi * Lest we be led astray

Edellisessä kirjoituksessani suuntasin katseeni ajassa taaksepäin ja totesin, että ihmiskunta on elänyt Pahan hallitusaikaa jo yli 6000 vuotta laskettuna maailman luomisesta ja Adamin päivistä.

In my previous article, I looked back in time and stated that humanity has been living the time of the reign of Evil briskly for over 6,000 years, counting since the creation of the world and the days of Adam.

En tiedä, mihin tulkinta ihmiskunnalle annetusta 6000 vuodesta tarkalleen ottaen perustuu, mutta arvelen, että siihen on osaltaan vaikuttanut luomisviikon 6 + 1 päivää ja Pietarin sanat, että Jumalan edessä yksi päivä on kuin 1000 vuotta ja tuhat vuotta kuin 1 päivä (2. Piet. 3: 8). 

I don't know what the interpretation of the 6,000 years given to humanity is based on exactly, but I suspect that it was partly influenced by the 6 + 1 days of the creation week and Peter's words that with God one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as 1 day (2. Pet. 3:8).

Johannes kirjoittaa Ilmestyskirjassa 1000 vuodesta, jotka ajoittuvat välittömästi Jeshuan/Jeesuksen kuninkaallisen ja voitokkaan paluun jälkeen (Ilm. 19: 11 -16). Kun Jeshua saapuu ”tuhannen tuhansine enkeleineen” (Juuda 14) ja Isänsä suunnattomassa kirkkaudessa (Matt. 16: 27), mikään synti ja vääryys ei kestä Hänen pyhien kasvojensa edessä. Kaikki jumalattomat, olkootpa ne kuninkaita, orjia tai vapaita, ylhäisiä tai alhaisia, vallan käyttäjiä tai vallan alle alistettuja, saavat surmansa Jumalan Pojan kirkkaudesta. Sen tähden auringossa seisova enkeli kutsuu kaikki taivaan linnut ”suurelle aterialle” syömään kuningasten, sotapäälliköiden, mahtimiesten, ratsujen, ratsastajien, orjien, vapaiden, pienten ja suurten lihaa (Ilm. 19: 17 - 21).

John writes in the Book of Revelation about the 1,000 years that will immediately follow the royal and triumphant return of Yeshua/Jesus (Rev. 19:11-16). When Yeshua arrives with “thousands of angels” (Jude 14) and in the glory of his Father (Matt. 16:27), no sin or unrighteousness will stand before His holy face. All the wicked, whether kings, slaves or free, high or low, rulers or subjects, will be killed by the glory of the Son of God. Therefore, the angel standing in the sun calls all the birds of the air to the “great supper” to eat the flesh of kings, generals, mighty men, horses, riders, slaves, free, small and great (Rev. 19:17-21).

Ainoastaan ne, jotka eivät tule kuolemaan Jumalan Pojan ilmestymisessä, saavat istua valtaistuimille hallitsemaan Messiaan/Kristuksen kanssa (Ilm. 19: 21 -> 20: 4). Tuosta hetkestä alkaa 1000 vuoden jakso, jolloin pyhät hallitsevat taivaassa, Isän kodissa, jonne Jeshua on lupauksensa mukaan valmistanut omilleen sijoja/valtaistuimia (Joh. 14: 1 - 3).

Only those who do not die at the appearing of the Son of God will sit on thrones to rule with the Messiah/Christ (Rev. 19:21 -> 20:4). From that moment begins a 1000 year period when the saints will reign in heaven, in the Father's house, where Yeshua has, according to his promise, prepared places/thrones for his own (John 14:1 - 3).

Ihmiskunnan Saatanan johdolla tuhoama Maa-planeetta tulee olemaan levossa tuon 1000 vuoden ajan. Kun  kaikki jumalattomat ovat kuolleet ja kaikki pyhät (sekä Jeshuan kuolleista herättämät että hänen palatessa elossa olleet 1. Tess. 4: 14 - 17) ovat nousseet Isän kotiin, Saatanalla ei ole ainuttakaan ihmistä ”kiusattavana”. Siksi tuota 1000 vuoden aikaa kutsutaan myös Saatanan vankeudeksi (Ilm. 20: 1, 2).

The planet Earth, destroyed by mankind under Satan’s leadership, will be at rest for that 1,000 years. When all the wicked have died and all the saints (both those raised by Yeshua and those alive when he returns 1 Thess. 4:14-17) have ascended to the Father’s house, Satan will not have a single person to “tempt.” That is why that 1,000-year period is also called Satan’s captivity (Rev. 20:1, 2).

Tuhannen vuoden loputtua Jeshua herättää jumalattomat ”tuomion ylösnousemuksessa" (Joh. 5: 29). Jumalattomien herättyä henkiin Saatanan vankeus päättyy (Ilm. 20: 5, 7), kun hän pääsee jälleen toteuttamaan omia juoniaan heidän kanssaan. Saatanan viimeinen super-operaatio on ns. "Googin ja Maagogin sota” (Ilm. 20: 7, 8, 9), joka tulee päättymään pahuuden joukkojen häviöön. 

After the thousand years, Yeshua will raise the wicked in the "resurrection of judgment" (John 5:29). With the resurrection of the wicked, Satan's imprisonment will end (Rev. 20:5, 7), when he will once again be able to carry out his own schemes with them. Satan's last super-operation is the so-called "war of Gog and Magog" (Rev. 20:7, 8, 9), which will end in the defeat of the forces of evil.

Seuraavaksi maan kansat, sekä voittajat että häviäjät, kootaan yhteiseen tuomion hetkeen, jossa taivaalliset kirjat avataan, ja jokainen tuomitaan tekojensa mukaan (Ilm. 20: 11- 15; Matt. 25: 31 - 46).

Next, the nations of the earth, both victors and vanquished, will be gathered together for a common hour of judgment, where the heavenly books will be opened, and each will be judged according to the deeds (Rev. 20: 11-15; Matt. 25: 31-46).

Maailman ensimmäisen viikon 6 ensimmäistä päivää vastannee näin ollen 6000 vuotta ihmiskunnan historiassa ja luomisviikon sapatti tuota 1000 vuoden jaksoa. Viimeinen tuomio tulee puhdistamaan Maan kaikesta pahasta, synnistä, jumalattomista ja synnin seurauksista sekä synnin aiheuttajasta, vanhasta Lohikäärmeestä alias Saatanasta. 

The first 6 days of the first week of the world would therefore correspond to 6000 years in human history and the Sabbath of the creation week to that period of 1000 years. The final judgment will cleanse the Earth of all evil, sin, the wicked and the consequences of sin, as well as the cause of sin, the old Dragon aka Satan. 

Elämme parhaillaan merkittävässä ajassa! Kuten edellisessä kirjoituksessani totesin, me ihmiset emme voi kuitenkaan tietää Jumalan aikataulua, mutta me voimme tarkata ajan merkkejä ja tiedostaa niiden perusteella, missä hetkessä elämme.

We are currently living in a very significant time!As I stated in my previous article, however we humans cannot know God's timetable, but we can observe the signs of the times and, based on them, realise in which moment we are living.

Kun korviini on viime päivinä kantautunut 'lohikäärmeen ääntä’, Ilmestyskirjan 13. luku on tullut minulle hyvin ajankohtaiseksi.

As the ’voice of the dragon' has reached my ears in recent days, Revelation 13 has become very relevant to me.

Ilmestyskirjan 13. luvussa kerrotaan kahdesta merkittävästä pedosta (uskonnollis-poliittisesta vallasta/mahdista), jotka pystyvät johtamaan koko ihmiskuntaa. Ensimmäinen peto nousee merestä ja toinen peto maasta. Merestä nouseva peto (13: 1 - 10) on tuttu jo Danielin kirjasta, jossa tuon vallan nousu, sen tekemiset ja luonne ennustettiin etukäteen. 

Revelation 13 tells of two significant beasts (religious-political powers) that are capable of leading all of humanity. The first beast rises from the sea and the second beast from the earth. The beast rising from the sea (13:1-10) is already familiar from the book of Daniel, where the rise of that power, its actions and nature were foretold in advance.

Danielille ei näytetty vielä ”maasta nousevaa” petoa, jonka Johannes sai nähdä (Ilm. 13: 11 - 18). Tämä ”toinen peto” ryhtyy yhteistyöhön ensimmäisen pedon kanssa ja saa pakkoa käyttäen koko maailman kumartamaan ensimmäistä petoa. Molemmat pedot ovat Jumalan tahtoa vastaan taistelevia saatanallisia voimia, joille Lohikäärme antaa voimansa. Niinpä jos haluamme totella Jumalan tahtoa, on tärkeää tunnistaa nuo molemmat pedot ja olla kumartamatta niitä!

Daniel was not yet shown the beast that “came out of the earth” that John saw (Rev. 13:11-18). This “second beast” will join forces with the first beast and force the entire world to worship the first beast. Both beasts are satanic forces that fight against God’s will and are empowered by the Dragon. So if we want to obey God’s will, it is important to identify both beasts and not to bow down to them!

Jesaja paljastaa, että Saatana alias Lucifer halusi nousta Jumalaa korkeammalle (Jes. 14: 12 - 14) ja hän myös teki niin. Onnistuminen tuossa tavoitteessa edellyttää häneltä valheellista toimintaa; hänen on peitettävä oma pahuutensa ja teeskenneltävä olevansa hyvä jumala ja itse pelastaja. On selvää että myös nuo kaksi maailmanvaltaa/petoa toimivat samalla tavalla kuin Lohikäärme ja peittävät oman todellisen luonteensa ja näytelevät jumalallista ja hyvää voimaa! Ja ne osaavat tehdä sen langennutta ihmiskuntaa miellyttävällä tavalla!

Isaiah reveals that Satan, alias Lucifer, wanted to rise higher than God (Isa. 14:12-14) and he did so too. To succeed in that goal, he must act falsely; he must cover up his own wickedness and pretend to be a good god and a savior himself. It is clear that those two world powers/beasts also act in the same way as the Dragon and hide their true nature and act as divine and good power! And they know how to do it in a way that is pleasing to fallen mankind!

Mutta sekä Daniel että Johannes ovat antaneet meille riittävästi vihjeitä, joiden perusteella voimme tunnistaa nuo teeskentelevät pahuuden voimat.

But both Daniel and John have given us enough clues to identify those pretending forces of evil.

Koska jo uskonpuhdistajat 1500-luvulta alkaen ovat avanneet ensimmäisen pedon olemuksen, ja koska se on edelleen sama, en puutu tässä kirjoituksessa siihen valtaan.

Since the Reformers from the 16th century onwards have revealed the nature of the first beast, and since it is still the same, I will not address that power in this article.

Johannes kuvaa maasta nousevaa petoa sanoilla 'sillä on kaksi sarvea, kuin karitsan sarvet” ja se puhuu kuin lohikäärme’ (Ilm. 13: 11). Johannes vahvistaa lohikäärmeen tarkoittavan Saatanaa/Perkelettä  (Ilm. 12: 9). 

John describes the beast rising from the earth as having ‘two horns like a lamb’ and ‘speaking like a dragon’ (Rev. 13: 11). John confirms that the dragon represents Satan/Devil (Rev. 12:9).

Ja Jeshuan kuvaus lohikäärmeestä on Joh. 8: 44: ssa.

käännös 1938: ”... ja touudessa hän ei pysy, koska hänessä ei totuutta ole. Kun hän puhuu valhetta, niin hän puhuu omaansa, sillä hän on valhettelija ja sen isä” 

käännös 1992: ”... Hän on kaukana totuudesta, se on hänelle vieras. Kun hän valehtelee, hän todella puhuu omiaan, sillä hän on valehtelija ja valheen isä.”

And Yeshua's description of the dragon is in John 8:44.

”... He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Lohikäärme alias Saatana puhuu valhetta, ja samoin tekee myös maasta nouseva peto! Jos heidän valheellinen puheensa koskisi ainoastaan uskoa ja Raamattua, vain harvat ihmiset tunnistaisivat valheen, koska suhteellisen harvat uskovat Jumalaan ja lukevat Raamattua. Mutta näyttää siltä, että ”maasta nouseva” peto lankeaa muissakin asioissa valheeseen niin avoimen törkeästi, että hänet saa valheesta kiinni kuka tahansa.

The dragon, alias Satan, speaks lies, and so does the beast that rises from the earth! If their lying speech were only about faith and the Bible, only a few men would recognise the lie, because relatively few believe in God and read the Bible. But it seems that the beast ”rising from the earth” also lies in other matters so openly and blatantly that anyone can catch him in a lie.

On mielenkiintoista seurata, miten ”karitsansarvinen peto” tulee valheilla pakottamaan ihmisille ensimmäisen pedon kuvaa, nimeä ja merkkiä, ja miten suuren osan siinä kaikessa tulee saamaan Saatanan suurin valhe ja petos Jumalan nimestä!

It is interesting to watch how the “lamb-horned beast” will force with lies the image, name, and mark of the first beast on people, and how much of a role Satan’s greatest lie and deception about God’s name will play in all of this!

Tetragrammia יהוה väitetään... jopa Raamatussa... Jumalan nimeksi. Tetragrammin tunnetuimmat ääntämismuodot ovat JAHVE ja JEHOVA. Se on käännetty englanniksi sanalla LORD ja suomeksi sanalla Herra (1642, 1776, 1933, 1938), HERRA (2012).

The Tetragrammaton יהוה is claimed... even in the Bible... to be the name of God. The most well-known pronunciations of the Tetragrammaton are YAHWE and JEHOVAH. It is translated into English as LORD and into Finnish as Herra (1642, 1776, 1933, 1938), HERRA (2012).

On syytä muistaa, mitä Jeshua sanoi puhuessaan vääristä profeetoista (Matt. 7: 15 - 23): ”Ei jokainen, joka sanoo minulle: 'Herra, Herra!’, pääse taivasten valtakuntaan, vaan se, joka tekee minun taivaallisen Isäni tahdon” (jae 21).

It is worth remembering what Yeshua said when speaking about false prophets (Matthew 7:15-23): ”Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Jumala ilmoitti Moosekselle todellisen nimensä Siinain erämaassa palavan pensaan luona. Jumalan pyhä nimi on hepreaksi אהיה EHJEE (2. Moos. 3: 14). Tämä heprean sana אהיה on olla-verbin muoto yksikön 1. persoonassa, ja se tarkoittaa OLEN. Kyseinen sana esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa noin 40 kertaa. Nimeen אהיה EHJEE liittyy vahva ja ikuinen sitoutuminen OLLA  LÄSNÄ yksilön elämässä ja antaa hänelle taivaallinen siunaus. Jumala vahva lupaus oli Iisakille, Jaakobille, Moosekselle, Joosualle, Gideonille, Daavidille: EHJEE kanssasi... MINÄ OLEN sinun kanssasi.

God revealed His true name to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai at the burning bush. God’s holy name in Hebrew is אהיה EHYEH (Exodus 3:14). This Hebrew word אהיה is the form of the verb to be in the first person singular and it means I AM. The word occurs about 40 times in the Old Testament. The name אהיה EHYEH carries a strong and eternal commitment to BE PRESENT in the life of an individual and to give him heavenly blessing. God’s strong promise was to Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, David: EHYEH with you... I AM with you.

Mutta Jumalan sitoutuminen ei ole koskaan yksipuolista, sillä Hän ON  LIITTOSUHTEESSA lastensa kanssa. Vaikka Jumala valitsi Israelin omaksi kansaksi, Israel oli tämän tästä uskoton Jumalalle. Esim. profeetta Hosean aikana (700-luvun loppupuolella eaa.) kansan uskottomuus muistutti symbolisesti jo haureutta. Herättääkseen uskottoman kansan tajuamaan oman tilansa Jumala kehotti Hoseaa varsin erikoiseen toimintaan, joka oli julkinen metafora kansan uskottomuudesta.

But God's commitment is never one-sided, for He IS IN A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP with His children. Although God chose Israel to be His people, again and again Israel was unfaithful to God. For example, during the time of the prophet Hosea (late 7th century BCE), the people's unfaithfulness symbolically resembled fornication. In order to awaken the unfaithful people to realise their own condition, God called upon Hosea to do a very special thing, which was a public metaphor for the people's unfaithfulness.

Hosean tuli ottaa vaimokseen portto (Hoos. 1: 2). Kun sitten Gomer, Diblaimin tytär, synnytti Hosealle pojan, hänen nimeksi tuli antaa יזרעאל Jisreel ennustukseksi siitä, että Jeehun Jisreelissä tekemät verityöt kostetaan Jeehun suvulle ja  Israelin kuningaskunnasta tulee loppu (Hoos. 1: 3 - 5). 

Hosea was to take a harlot as his wife (Hos. 1:2). Then, when Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, bore Hosea a son, he was to be named יזרעאל Jezreel, a prophecy that the bloodshed committed by Jehu in Jezreel would be avenged on the house of Jehu and the kingdom of Israel would come to an end (Hos. 1:3-5). 

Gomerin toiselle pojalle tuli antaa nimi לא רחמה Lo-Ruhama (= hän ei saa armoa) merkiksi siitä, että Jumala ei enää armahda Israelin heimoa (Hoos. 1: 6, 7).

Gomer's second son was to be named לא רחמה Lo-Ruhamah (= he will not receive mercy) as a sign that God would no longer have mercy on the tribe of Israel (Hos. 1: 6, 7)

Ja Gomerin kolmannelle pojalle tuli antaa nimi לא עמי Lo-Ammi (= ei minun kansani). Mutta silloin myös Jumalan nimi muuttui: nimi אהיה EHJEE muuttui nimeksi לא אהיה Lo-EHJEE, Ei-EHJEE     = > Minä en ole Jumalasi, Minä en ole sinun kanssasi. Jumalan läsnäolo ja siunaus loppui Israelissa. Ja Israelin kuningaskunta loppui todellakin 722 eaa.

And Gomer's third son was to be named לא עמי Lo-Ammi (= not my people). But then the name of God also changed: the name אהיה EHYEH changed to the name לא אהיה Lo-EHYEH, Not-EHYEH => I am not Your God, I am not with You. God’s presence and blessing ceased in Israel. And the kingdom of Israel did indeed end in 722 BCE.

Ihmiskunta on käyttänyt tetragrammia יהוה Jumalan nimenä Enoksen ajoista lähtien (1. Moos. 4: 26). Enoksen johdolla ihmiset alkoivat palvoa taivaankappaleita. Ja Tetrgrammi יהוה on aktiivisessa käytössä vieläkin eri uskontojen piirissä samoin kuin okkultismissa. 

Mankind has used the Tetragrammaton יהוה as the name of God since the time of Enosh (Gen. 4:26). Under Enosh’s leadership, people began to worship the heavenly bodies. And the Tetragrammaton יהוה is still actively used in various religions and occultism.

Koska nimi אהיה EHJEE on säilynyt lähes tuntemattomana, eikä sitä käytetä pakanallisissa menoissa niin kuin tetragrammia, Jeshuan rukous ”pyhitetty olkoon sinun nimesi” (Matt. 6: 9) on toteutunut kirjaimellisesti. ’Pyhittää’ on hepreaksi קדש qadash, ja se merkitsee ’omistamista Jumalan omaan käyttöön’. 

Because the name אהיה EHYEH has remained almost unknown and is not used in pagan ceremonies like the Tetragrammaton, Yeshua's prayer "hallowed be your name" (Matthew 6:9) has been fulfilled literally.  ’To sanctify' is in Hebrew קדש qadash, and it means 'to dedicate to God's own use’.

Vaikka merestä ja erityisesti maasta nouseva peto puhuisi Jumalasta, Jumalan nimestä, Jumalan laista, Jumalan kunnioittamisesta jne., muistakaamme, että maasta nouseva peto puhuu kuin Lohikäärme. Se puhe on valhetta, disinfomaatiota, taivaan ja maan Luojan tahdon vastustamista ja ihmiskunnan Lunastajan hylkäämistä! Tutkikaamme sen tähden Jeshuan opetusta, sillä Jeshua on todellinen JUMALAN  SANA (Joh. 1: 1 - 3, 14) ja HÄN uskollinen ja totinen todistaja (Ilm. 3: 14), eikä Hänessä ole mitään valhetta!

Even if the beast rising from the sea and especially the beast rising from the earth speaks about God, God's name, God's law, honoring God, etc., let us remember that the beast rising from the earth speaks like a Dragon. That speech is a lie, disinformation, opposition to the will of the Creator of heaven and earth, and rejection of the Redeemer of mankind! Let us therefore study the teaching of Yeshua, for Yeshua is the true WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-3, 14) and HE is the faithful and true witness (Rev. 3:14), and in Him there are no lies!

Ihmisen aika * Human time

Ilmestyskirjan 10. luvussa Johannes esittelee väkevän enkelin, joka laskeutuu alas taivaasta ja asettuu seisomaan toinen jalka meren ja toinen maan päälle ja vannoo taivaan ja maan Luojan, ikuisesti elävän Jumalan (Ehjeen) kautta, että aika loppuu silloin, kun seitsemäs enkeli puhaltaa pasuunaan. Ihmiskunnalle annettu aika tulee siis päättymään tuona hetkenä! Ajan loppuminen tarkoittaa Jumalan armon päättymistä. Aika siis mittaa Jumalan armon pituuden kestämistä, sitä miten pitkään Hän kutsuu lapsiaan takaisin Kotiin.

In Revelation 10, John presents a strong angel descending from heaven and standing with one foot on the sea and the other on the land, swearing by the Creator of heaven and earth, the eternally living God (Ehyeh), that time will end when the seventh angel blows his trumpet. So the time given to humanity will end at that moment! The end of time means the end of God's grace. So time measures the length of God's grace, how long He calls His children back Home.

Seitsemännen enkelin puhaltaessa pasuunaan tämän maailman Ruhtinaan herruus loppuu, ja koko maailman kuninkuus siirtyy Jumalan Voidellulle, Jeshualle, jonka hallinto tulee jatkumaan ikuisesti (Ilm. 10: 15). Sinä hetkenä aika vaihtuu ikuisuudeksi.

When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, the dominion of the Prince of this world will end, and the kingdom of the whole world will pass to God’s Anointed One, Yeshua, whose reign will continue forever (Rev. 10:15). At that moment, time will change to eternity.

Sitä milloin tuo tärkeä hetki koittaa, on yritetty laskea ja ennustaa huolimatta siitä, että itse Jeshua sanoi: ”... siitä päivästä ja hetkestä ei tiedä kukaan, eivät taivasten enkelit, eikä myöskään Poika, vaan Isä yksin” (Matt. 24: 36). 

There have been attempts to calculate and predict when that important moment will come, despite the fact that Yeshua himself said: "... of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Matthew 24:36).

Jostakin syystä Kuningas Jaakon Käännöksessä (KJV) tuosta jakeesta puuttuu maininta Pojasta, vaikka se on kuitenkin kreikankielisessä Novum Testamentum Graece’ssa. Mutta koska Isä ja Poika ovat yksi (Joh. 10: 30) tavoitteissaan ja toimissaan, Poika kyllä saa tietää Isältä, milloin Hänen Kuninkuutensa hetki koittaa. Koska tuota hetkeä ei ole etukäteen ilmoitettu ihmiskunnalle eikä edes enkeleille, sen laskeminen ja ennustaminen on meille ihmisille täysin turhaa ajanhukkaa. Sen sijaan voimme kyllä laskea, kuinka pitkä Jumalan armonaika on ollut ihmiskuntaa kohtaan tähän mennessä.

For some reason, the King James Version (KJV) omits the mention of the Son from that verse, although it is in the Greek Novum Testamentum Graece. But since the Father and the Son are one (John 10:30) in purpose and action, the Son does know from the Father when the time for His Kingdom will come. Since that time has not been announced in advance to mankind, or even to angels, calculating and predicting it is a complete waste of time for us humans. Instead, we can calculate how long God’s grace has been toward mankind up to now.

Koska Vanhan Testamentin kirjoitukset ovat Tanakin tekstejä, luulisi juutalaisten tietävän ihan tarkalleen, paljonko aikaa on kulunut maailman luomisesta. Mutta heidän ajanlaskunsa hämmästyttää minua suuresti! Juutalaisen ajanlaskun lähtökohta on vuosi 3760 eaa., jolloin maailman luominen tapahtui heidän mukaansa. 

Since the Old Testament writings are Tanakh texts, you would think that the Jews would know exactly how much time has passed since the creation of the world. But their calendar amazes me greatly! The starting point of the Jewish calendar is the year 3760 BCE, when the creation of the world took place according to them.

Kun tuohon lukuun 3760 lisätään kulloinkin meneillään oleva vuosi, saadaan summaksi maailman luomisesta kulunut aika. Näin ollen maailman luomisesta olisi kulunut nyt 5785 vuotta (3760 + 2025 = 5785). Ei voi pitää paikkaansa! On ryhdyttävä tarkistamaan Vanhan Testamentin tekstejä ja laskemaan kulunutta aikaa! Eikä tehtävä ole loppujen lopuksi edes vaikea.

When the current year is added to that number 3760, the total is the time that has passed since the creation of the world. Therefore, 5785 years have now passed since the creation of the world (3760 + 2025 = 5785). This cannot be true! We must start checking the texts of the Old Testament and calculating the time that has passed! And the task is not even difficult after all.

Näin etenin tehtävän kanssa: Ensiksi tarkistin pari kymmentä vuotta aikaisemmin tekemäni aikajanan Aadamista Abrahamiin ja jatkoin siitä eteenpäin. Totesin, että jos Raamatussa annetut tiedot pitävät paikkansa Jaakob alias Israel kuoli vuonna 2255 luomisen jälkeen. Siihen saakka ei ole pienintäkään epäilyksen häivää koskien kulunutta aikaa. 

This is how I proceeded with the task: First, I checked the timeline I had made a couple of decades earlier from Adam to Abraham and continued from there. I concluded that if the information given in the Bible is correct, Jacob, aka Israel, died in the year 2255 after creation. Until then, there is not the slightest doubt about the time that has passed.

Sitten seuraa ajanjakso, josta ei voi olla yhtä varma kuin Jaakobin kuolinvuoteen saakka. Vastauksetta jää eräitä kysymyksiä: Milloin Joosef syntyi? Tiedetään kyllä, että hän eli 110 vuotta. Miten pitkään heprealaiset/israelilaiset saivat elää rauhassa Egyptissä ennen kuin heidät alistettiin orjatyöhön? Aabrahamille ilmoitettiin, että hänen jälkeläisensä joutuvat elämään muukalaisina maassa, jossa heitä sorrettaisiin 400 vuotta (1. Moos. 15: 13; Ap.t. 7: 6). 

Then follows a period of time that cannot be as certain as the year of Jacob’s death. Some questions remain unanswered: When was Joseph born? It is known that he lived for 110 years. How long were the Hebrews/Israelites allowed to live in peace in Egypt before they were subjected to slave labor? Abraham was told that his descendants would have to live as strangers in a land where they would be oppressed for 400 years (Gen. 15:13; Acts 7: 6).

Mutta israelilaisten kerrotaan asuneen Egyptissä 430 vuotta (2. Moos. 12: 40). Sisältyykö noihin 430 vuoteen sekä orjuuden aika että se rauhan aika, joka vallitsi niin kauan, kun Joosef eli ja kun vallassa oleva Egyptin farao tiesi/muisti Joosefin ansiot?

But the Israelites are said to have lived in Egypt for 430 years (Ex. 12:40). Does that 430 years include both the time of slavery and the time of peace that existed while Joseph was alive and the ruling Pharaoh of Egypt knew/remembered Joseph's merits?

Okei, mutta kun Jaakobin kuolinvuoteen 2255 lisätään 430 vuotta, päädymme vuoteen 2686 luomisesta. Exoduksen vuosi oli vuosi 2686 luomisen jälkeen... mahdollisesti.

Okay, but when we add 430 years to Jacob's death year of 2255, we end up with the year 2686 from creation. The year of the Exodus was the year 2686 after creation... possibly.

Kuningas Salomo aloitti neljäntenä hallitusvuotenaan Jerusalemin temppelin rakentamisen 480 vuotta Egyptistä lähtemisen jälkeen (1. Kun 6: 1). Jos pitää paikkansa, että Salomo nousi kuninkaaksi 971 eaa., hänen neljäs hallitusvuotensa oli 967 eaa.

King Solomon began building the temple in Jerusalem in the fourth year of his reign, 480 years after the Exodus from Egypt (1. Kings 6: 1). If it is correct that Solomon became king in 971 B.C.E., his fourth year of reign was 967 B.C.E.

Selvittääksemme kuinka pitkä aika kului "ensimmäisestä Adamista viimeiseen Adamiin” (1. Kor. 15: 45) eli Adamista Jeshuaan, tarvitsee vain laskea yhteen luvut: 2255, 430, 480 ja 967. Vastaus on 4132 vuotta. Epätarkkuutta saattaa olla jonkin verran, mutta ei kuitenkaan 300 - 400 vuotta, niin kuin juutalaisten tulkinnassa on. Juutalaisten ja minun aikalaskut eroavat 375 vuodella.

To find out how long it took from “the first Adam to the last Adam” (1 Cor. 15:45), that is, from Adam to Yeshua, we only need to add up the numbers: 2255, 430, 480 and 967. The answer is 4132 years. There may be some inaccuracy, but it is not 300 - 400 years, as the Jewish interpretation has it. The Jewish and my chronologies differ by 375 years.

Kannattaa muuten huomioida Paavalin käyttämät sanat ”ensimmäinen ja viimeinen Adam” eikä ensimmäinen ja toinen. Tuntuu siltä, että Paavali tiesi jostakin kolmannesta Adamista noiden kahden välissä.

By the way, it’s worth noting that Paul used the words “the first and the last Adam” rather than the first and the second. It seems that Paul knew of a third Adam between those two.

On huomioitava myös Danielin pitkä aikaprofetia (Dan. 9. luku), joka alkaa Persian kuninkaan Artakserkses I:n vuonna 457 eaa. antamasta käskystä rakentaa Jerusalemin temppeli, ja joka jatkuu ajanlaskun taitteen tälle puolelle aina vuoteen 1844, ja joka vahvistaa Jeshuan syntymä-, kaste- ja kuolinvuoden.  

We must note also Daniel's long time prophecy (Dan. 9), which begins with the order given by Persian King Artaxerxes I in 457 BCE to build the temple in Jerusalem, and which continues on this side of the timeline until 1844, and which confirms the year of Yeshua's birth, baptism, and death.

But the Jews do not even consider Daniel a prophet, because her book is placed in the Tanakh among the writings (Ketuvim) and not among the prophets (Nevi’im).

What years or periods do Jews leave out of their calculations, and are they removed from the beginning immediately after creation or from the end of the BCE period before the birth of Yeshua?

Perinteisesti on ajateltu, että ihmiskunnalle annettu aika olisi yhteensä 6000 vuotta, ja että se jakautuisi 4000 vuoteen eaa. ja 2000 vuoteen jaa. Traditionally, it has been thought that the total time allotted to mankind would be 6,000 years, and that this would be divided into 4,000 years B.C. and 2,000 years C.E. When I compare the Jewish calendar with this model, the Jewish calendar seems to be missing 240 years. According to the information given in Genesis chapter five, 240 years from Adam takes us to the time of Enosh, for Enosh lived from 235 to 1140 years after creation. And in the time of Enosh people began to call on the name of Yahweh (Gen. 4:26).

Nimi יהוה Jahve on juutalaisille tärkeä, se tiedetään! Mutta juutalaisissa lähteissä ja Targumeissa kerrotaan myös, että Enoksen aikana ihmiset alkoivat erehtyä, ja että Enos oli epäjumalanpalvelija, joka johti ihmiset palvomaan taivaankappaleita; aurinkoa, kuuta ja tähtiä. Jahven huutaminen liittyy näin ollen pakanuuteen. Jumala ilmoitti Moosekselle nimensä olevan אהיה Ehjee (2. Moos. 3: 14).

The name יהוה Yahweh is important to the Jews, it is known! But Jewish sources and Targums also tell us that during the time of Enosh, people began to err, and that Enosh was an idolater who led people to worship celestial bodies; the sun, moon and stars. The cry of Yahweh is therefore associated with paganism. God revealed to Moses his name as אהיה Ehyeh (Exodus 3:14).

Selittäneekö vuodesta 3760 eaa. alkava ajanlasku myös sen, miksi Genesiksen alussa on kaksi erilaista luomiskertomusta? Mahtavatko juutalaiset sijoittaa Jahvistisen luomiskertomuksen (1. Moos. 2: 4 - 25) ajanlaskunsa alkuun, ja korvata Adamin Enoksella? Vanhassa Testamentissa Enos אנוש näyttää olevan synonyymi nimelle Adam אדם merkityksessä ihminen/ihmiskunta. Tekstejä, joissa enosh אנוש korvaa nimen adam אדם löytyy Vanhasta Testamentista yli neljäkymmentä.

Does the chronology starting from 3760 BCE also explain why there are two different creation stories at the beginning of Genesis? Could the Jews place the Yahwistic creation story (Genesis 2:4-25) at the beginning of their chronology, and replace Adam with Enos? In the Old Testament, Enos אנוש seems to be synonymous with the name Adam אדם in the sense of man/humanity. There are over forty texts in the Old Testament where enosh replaces אנוש the name adam אדם.

Olen kysynyt juutalaisesta ajanlaskusta parilta asiantuntijalta; henkilöiltä, joiden arvelin tuntevan juutalaisuutta ja tietävän mahdollisen selityksen juutalaiselle tavalle laskea kulunutta aikaa, mutta en ole saanut vastauksia. Vastauksia odotellessani tein oman aikajanani, ja totesin, että ihmiskunta on saanut Isältä armoa armon päälle. Mutta näin ei tule jatkumaan loputtomasti!

I have asked a couple of experts about Jewish chronology; people I thought were familiar with Judaism and might have a possible explanation for the Jewish way of counting time, but I have not received  answers. While waiting for answers, I made my own timeline, and concluded that humanity has received grace upon grace from the Father. But this will not continue indefinitely!

Ihminen /ihmiskunta on ylittänyt perinteisen tulkinnan mukaisen 6000 vuoden rajan jo yli sadalla vuodella, sillä 4132 + 2025 = 6157. Maailma on ajautunut äärimmäiseen hulluuteen, josta sen voi pelastaa ainoastaan Jeshuan eli Ihmisen Pojan paluu.

Man/humanity has already exceeded the traditional 6000-year limit by over a hundred years, as 4132 + 2025 = 6157. The world has descended into extreme madness, from which only the return of Yeshua, the Son of Man, can save it.

Aikaa eaa. voidaan laskea arviolta myös Jeshuan /Jeesuksen sukuluetteloiden pohjalta, jotka ovat Uudessa Testamentissa (Matt. 1: 1 - 17 ja Luuk. 3: 23 - 38). Luettelot poikkevat kyllä toisistaan merkittävästi, sillä Matteuksessa luetellaan vain 42 sukupolvea (Abrahamista Jeshuaan) ja Luukkaassa 77 sukupolvea (Jeshuasta Adamiin). 

Kysymys kuuluu: montako vuotta lasketaan yhden sukupolven iäksi? Ennen vedenpaisumusta ihmiset elivät huomattavasti pidempään kuin sen jälkeen. Jos oletusarvo on 100 - 120v. ennen vedenpaisumusta ja 50 vuotta sen jälkeen, saadaan molemmista sukuluettelosta tulokseksi vähintäinkin 4000 vuotta.

The time BC can also be calculated approximately based on the genealogies of Yeshua/Jesus, which are in the New Testament (Matt. 1: 1 - 17 and Luke 3: 23 - 38). The lists differ significantly from each other, as Matthew lists only 42 generations (from Abraham to Yeshua) and Luke lists 77 generations (from Yeshua to Adam).

The question is: how many years are counted as the age of one generation? Before the flood, people lived considerably longer than after it. If the default value is 100 - 120 years before the flood and 50 years after, both genealogies give a result of at least 4000 years.
